Ant colony optimization (ACO) is a population-based metaheuristic technique to solve combination optimization problems effectively. However, how to improve the performance of ACO algorithms is still an active research topic. Though there are many algorithms solving TSPs effectively, there is an application bottleneck that the ACO algorithm costs too much time in order to get an optimal solution. This paper revised pheromones in local and global update mode. a fast ACO algorithm for solving TSPs is presented in this paper. Firstly, a new pheromone increment model called ant constant, which keeps energy conversation of ants, is introduced to embody the pheromone difference of different candidate paths. Meanwhile, a pheromone diffusion model, which is based on info fountain of a path, is established to reflect the strength field of the pheromone diffusion faithfully, and it strengthens the collaboration among ants. Experimental results on different benchmark data sets show that the proposed algorithm can not only get better optima] solutions but also enhance greatly the convergence speed.

Aiming at the time delay existing in measuring process of stabilized platform motion attitude, a novel combined forecasting method based on hierarchical structure theory is proposed. AR(p) model and metabolism GM(I,I) model are employed as single models, and hierarchical structure based weight determining method is used to ascertain the weights of each single model. To improve the forecasting precision, residual errors are compensated with GM(1,1) model. At the end of the paper, simulation analysis with observed data from stabilized platform experiment is carried out, and the simulation results show that the method is effective.

In five-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining of sculptured surface parts, the application of highspeed machining (HSM) is recognized as an economically viable manufacturing technology. Compared with the traditional CNC machining, high-speed machining not only can improve processing efficiency, but also effectively improve the surface quality. To meet the demands of high speed machining, this paper presents a spiral cutting operation strategy for high-speed machining. Based on the constant scallop height tool path, the initial contour-parallel tool path is firstly, created. Then, the spiral path is generated as a land of the diagonal curve between the offset curves by the initial tool path. At last, the tool path smoothing technology is applied to the generated tool path. This path strategy can ensure higher level of quality of the surface being machined, and has the longer single tool-path and less tool-path sharp corners. Therefore, the smooth spiral tool path can maintain the needs of high-speed machining. Based on these techniques, experimental results are given to verify the proposed approach.

UMHexagonS is a fast integer-pixel motion estimation algorithm adopted in H.264/AVC reference software, while in the real time applications, it still has many shortcomings, such as excessive search points and slow search speed. So, further improvement and optimization are needed for this algorithm. In this paper, a fast adaptive motion estimation algorithm is proposed based on the analysis of UMHexagonS algorithm. Many new technologies are applied in the novel algorithm, such as the dynamic search window, motion type adaptive search strategies, directional cross-shaped search, adaptive rectangle-diamond search, adaptive multi-levels octagon regional search and adaptive hexagon search. Experimental results show that the novel algorithm can reduce 10%-30% time of motion estimation while keeping the video quality almost unchanged. In addition, both the sceneadaptive ability and real-time performance are strongly strengthened.

A target quick searching strategy based on visual attention under the known formal context is proposed in paper. It can improve the efficiency of target searching with the computer algorithm of visual attention. The merit of our paper is the improvement of visual attention top-down guiding algorithm. The total visual attention process is divided into the process of visual information extraction and visual attention guiding in paper. The algorithm of visual attention guiding layer is designed. It can find the key feature of the target based on the calculation among the feature information of all objects in formal context of current task to guide the formation of bottom-up saliency map, and it can improve the efficiency of target searching further.
