One of the main challenges in content-based or semantic image retrieval is still to bridge the gap between low-level features and semantic information. In this paper, An approach is presented using integrated multi-level image features in ontology fusion construction by a fusion framework, which based on the latent semantic analysis. The proposed method promotes images ontology fusion efficiently and broadens the application fields of image ontology retrieval system. The relevant experiment shows that this method ameliorates the problem, such as too many redundant data and relations, in the traditional ontology system construction, as well as improves the performance of semantic images retrieval.

Cooperative networking is a highly promising communications paradigm that is expected to play an essential role in the next generation of wireless mobile networks. Many cooperation opportunities are found and decisions are made at MAC layer, where a performance index is needed as a reference to evaluate the effectiveness of cooperations. In this work, we serve this purpose by proposing a saturation throughput gain (STG) index. We present mathematically the STG of the MAC layer cooperative data relaying of direct spread spectrum ultra wide band systems. The result shows that STG can effectively evaluate the cooperation gain at MAC layer and varies significantly with different MAC layer fairness mechanisms.

Empirical research shows that the call provision embedded in the convertible bonds and American call options may be delayed for different reasons. While there are several researches focused on recall provision embedded in the callable American call options under intensity-based framework, few performed detailed research on that in convertible bonds. Therefore, the main purpose of the current work is to model and study the call provision embedded in the callable convertible bonds using intensity-based approach. We formulate this as an optimal stopping problem. Under certain assumptions, we can then get a nonlinear complementarity problem that can be solved by numerical procedures. We also consider credit risk. Since there are already lots of literatures on this, we only provide a theoretical formulation under the AFV model framework.

Conventional domain name system (DNS) has some obvious problems in dual-export campus network (CN). An intelligence operation mode was investigated and eventually designed according to DNS transmit technology, strategy analysis technology and features of campus network dual-export, which is based on analysis of DNS work process. Fortunately, the work pattern has been carried out in campus network of Luoyang Institute of Science and Technology. Experimental results indicate that the operation pattern can satisfy application requirement under dual-export environment of campus network.

To develop a high performance Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite GPS receiver, a flexible and low-cost effective in-orbit GPS emulator is a prerequisite. Catering to this need, a software defined radio based LEO satellite in-orbit GPS Intermediate Frequency (IF) emulator, named GPSEM, was proposed. The GPSEM features a computer software and a USB extension hardware system. The GPSEM computer software can generate precisely combined IF signal samples of all GPS visible space vehicles at the GPS user device. The USB extension hardware system of the GPSEM is based on the most recent Nandflash mass storage technology, which can store and playback the GPS IF samples for more than one LEO orbit cycle time. A key to GPSEM is to calculate GPS space vehicles' signal transmission time with a given user position and receiver time. Toward this problem, a iterative solution based on Taylor expansion was presented. A test system was built in which the output of the IF emulator is feed into an engineering THU-1 satellite GPS receiver. The positioning results showed that the proposed IF emulator performs well, which made it an effective tool for the development of the next generation LEO satellite GPS receiver.

With the automatic generation technology of computer animation and the description of scene with the linear octree, a method of path searching for 3D virtual flying characters and path optimization by interpolation of key points is advanced. What is more, the characters' pose can be controlled while flying. The methods can provide more reasonable path for flying characters and the path has a certain optimal under the restrained condition of meeting character motion. The flying characters' pose can be well controlled with the method of attitude adjustment. The satisfied effect of animation can be obtained by using those methods. Therefore, they present a certain value in application.

A point clouds registration method based on the invariant features of neighborhood points is proposed. Firstly, the target point set are weighted. Secondly, all the corresponding point-pairs are searched by comparing the feature value and then the preliminary registration is completed. Finally, to register accurately by using the ICP algorithm, this has improved the invariant feature. Experiments indicate the good results of the preliminary registration and the better results of the fine registration, which have met the requirement of registering point clouds from different viewpoints.

The implementation of automatically fitting the theoretical model of spatial variogram has always been a problem in the realm of geostatistics. Considering that the genetic algorithm has sufficient robustness and it has the virtue of searching the global optimum while solving the nonlinear problems, so this paper takes the method of genetic algorithm to automatically fit the theoretical model of spatial variogram. However, the traditional genetic algorithm has the deficiency of slow convergence rate and gets premature convergence easily, according to which this paper proposes a kind of new improved genetic algorithm: comprehensively considering the optimal preservation, self-adaptive regulated probability of intercross and of mutation, introducing the simulated annealing algorithm to revise the fitness function and the survival mechanism. The validation of typical cases and application in fitting the spatial variogram show that this improved algorithm converges quickly and is globally convergent. It is worthy to say that the improved genetic algorithm is a simple and effective method of fitting spatial variogram and other nonlinear problems.

Traditional teaching-learning has disadvantages such as insufficient teacher-student communication, insufficient personalized learning, serious plagiarism, and lacking of automatic grading of assignments. To solve these problems, an ecological network teaching and learning environment is proposed based on social constructivist teaching ideas. This platform consists of a teacher oriented ecological teaching platform and a student oriented online self-learning platform. We have explored and practiced various modes of teaching-learning based on this platform. Comparison with the traditional teaching-learning mode has showed that the ecological network environment can effectively improve the teaching and learning effects.
