The One Hundred Year Study on Artificial Intelligence's Report of the 2015 Study Panel [1] predicts artificial intelligence (AI) to "enhance education at all levels, especially by providing personalization at scale" (p. 31). Interactive machines are already tutoring students in classrooms. It is anticipated that in the near future, social robots will become integral part of schools to enhance student learning experiences. This paper reports the preliminary investigation of participating students' experience through a new robotics competition focusing on the use of a social robot as a standard platform robot for primary and secondary school students. This report is part of a larger study of the World Robot Summit Junior Category 'sSchool Robot Challenge. The School Robot Challenge at the Junior Category of the World Robot Summit (WRS), inspired by the WRS 's aim to envision a society where humans and robots coexist and collaborate together, prepares students to participate in robotics and A.I. research and development in the future by offering a new robotics competition for students to design Co-Bot experience (human-robot co-existence) at school, hosted by the Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).

In order to research the effects of interactive designs for different car panels on driving efficiency, the layouts of the current common car dashboard were investigated and 35 experimental stimulus materials were obtained. Tobii X2-30 eye tracker was used to perform eye movement test on 30 subjects. SPSS V21.0 was used to analyze the corresponding data. Results show that the setting of the speedometer in the middle position has a significant impact on the reading of tachometer and water temperature meter. The area on the left panel got less attention and complex color dials get more fixations. The best layout for the overall reading of the instrument is class-A. Moreover, complex color matching design can depress the reading efficiency.

It is well established that workers being exposed to physical agents, such as vibration, noise and temperature can cause them different pathologies, such as musculoskeletal disorders, vascular and neurological problems, hearing loss, etc. In this regard, there are many productive sectors in which workers are exposed to such physical agents, among them is the olive sector, mainly during the process of hand harvest of olives. In Spain, the number of workers employed in this sector is quite high, since one third of all the olive oil world production is generated there and particularly the region of Andalusia (South Spain) is the world's leading producer of olive oil. This paper presents the first phases of a study on the characterization of the physical agents to which the olive harvest Andalusian workers are exposed. In this study the exposure during the process of olive harvesting by hand-held machinery is analyzed.

A new model of sustainable housing has been designed, thanks to a research conducted with different kind of users. A ready-made wood residences prototype is proposed as a project able to guarantee a height home environment quality. The research aims to improve people daily Life related to multiple factors. A study has been conducted on materials quality to guarantee a safe environment and a high air quality and at the same time, also a research on colors and contrasts between the volumes. The structural elements are already built in the factory equipped of flexible interiors furniture (multiple layers): this technology permits an ergonomic use of the tables, the armchairs, the windows, handrails, kitchens and toilets [1]. Plugs and switches have a minimum range to be moved and adapted. The house project results anti-seismic, ergonomic and sustainable and it makes people interact inclusively with the outside landscape thanks to a movable windows system that allows to the different users of the house to change the windows height. The flexible structure is able to contrast the earthquake vibrations because of its flexible structure and at the same time the home environment becomes safe thanks to the integrated furniture. Guides for the wheelchair users are integrated in the ready-made panels and can be customized for the clients [2]. The prototype is also eco-friendly and detains all the requirements to be constructed in NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) [3]. It has to be pointed out that the interior walls panels and furniture are made of recycled materials, mixed with chipboards, to increase the project sustainability and to reduce the expenses. The economic factor has been considered as a fundamental element of the research and the already-made technology permit sustainable costs. Users Expert have been involved in the design process thru workshops and seminars organized to investigate needs and measures of people housing thanks to the collaboration of a consultant

Improving car seating comfort is very important in the process of car development and design. This paper reviewed the research progress of car seating comfort at home and abroad. Firstly, the related concepts related to the comfort of car seats were introduced, and then the factors affecting the comfort were analyzed in depth. Finally, the subjective evaluation, objective behavior evaluation and physiological parameter evaluation methods for seating comfort were introduced with their advantages and possible problems being analyzed respectively. This paper will provide a large number of theoretical basis and important reference significance for the subsequent development of car seating comfort.

Study objectives: The main purpose of this research is to investigate the effects caused by the sleep disorder in workers of service stations with rotating shift. Method: One hundred and two workers of Forty-five service stations of Valparaiso city participated in this study. Informed consent was obtained from all subjects prior to their participation, in the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to assess sleep. Results: From 102 participants, 52% were good sleepers. About 85% of the participants reported no history of sleep medication usage, almost 7% of the participants in this study report some degree of sleep problems. The mean sleep duration was 6.36 h and the mean score on the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was 6,05. Conclusion: The vast majority of the workers evaluated in rotating shifts present easy to sleep.

Outdoor Fitness Equipment (OFE) can support public health by making physical activity available to all segments of the society. However, our knowledge is limited regarding how young people can adopt this equipment. Therefore, this study set out to explore (1) motivators of young people to do sports, (2) their perspective towards being physically active outside and (3) how to increase their outdoor physical activity level and OFE usage through design. Therefore, a cultural probes study and interviews were conducted with twelve participants aged between 20-30 years old, who do sports at home or gym. As a result, three types of needs were identified namely personal, social and practical needs. Moreover, design requirements are identified which are focusing on equipment, space, and service. As a result, this study provides brief guidance for designers and urban planners to meet young people's needs about doing sport outside.

The continuing advancement of technological development will require submarine control rooms of the future to process greater volumes of data from next-generation sensors. The requirements placed upon future submarine control rooms might necessitate changes to their ways of working to maintain effective performance. The Command Team Experimental Test-Bed (ComTET) is a project that aims to evaluate future ways of working through systematic, repeatable, and statistically robust experimentation. As part of the ComTET program, novel User Interfaces (UI) are being designed and evaluated. The design process utilised for the development of the novel UIs was the Google Ventures design sprint methodology, with the aim of leveraging expert participants experience and recommendations to inform future interface design requirements and novel concepts. The current work describes a three-day workshop that was held to design these interfaces and presents the resultant prototype designs.

The interpersonal relationships in organizations have generated deficient processes of interrelation due to labour harassment. Inadequate organizational dynamics, in addition to the lack of activation of administrative management strategies for the prevention of these events, lead to the interior of workplaces towards harmful environments, promoting scenarios of arbitrariness and psychological violence. The objective of this study is to identify psychosocial risk factors at work and outside of work, in addition to stress symptoms in order to verify their relationship with workplace harassment and formulate organizational strategies for their control. This is a mixed and correlational investigation. Realized in four (4) companies of services of transport of raw materials for the industry of the cement, in the municipality of the Calera of the department of Cundinamarca in Colombia.

In support of an open ecosystem for lifelong and smart learning, this study evaluates the perception of educational stakeholders such as pre-service teachers and blockchain developers about the feasibility of the blockchain technology in addressing the numerous gaps in the implementation of smart learning environment. This research was designed within the international project, Smart Ecosystem for Learning and Inclusion (SELI). A total of 491 preservice teachers and 3 blockchain developers from these countries participated in the study. The study data was collected from a questionnaire and interview. Descriptive statistics and content analysis was performed on the collected data. Results from this study indicates that Blockchain technology in the educational field is rarely known, and the frequency of use is quite low. The pre-service teachers surveyed, for the most part, are unaware of the degree of effectiveness of blockchain technology in education. Blockchain developers are of the opinion that Blockchain is still new to many people and resources for education based application are very rare, even if it is there, yet not many are open-source.
