Producers and employers are still looking for ways to better understand the recipients of their services. This ability allows you to build a competitive advantage and gain or retain the interest of customers and employees. The dynamics of demographic changes and requirements related to technological development (including contextual requirements such as sustainable development) mean that the existing users' groups and their needs are also changing. This results in the need to search for ways to better address technical features to the needs of individual. The article presents the concept of developing the Designing for Dynamic Diversity approach in designing for Wellbeing using similar for Kansei Engineering approach. The article presents the concept of dynamic adjustment of the user's environment through the use of feedback and dynamic changes in work environment. In this way, a method of continuous improvement is supported, supported by the actual needs of the user. The problem in this area is to determine the level of dynamics of the technical system as well as the manner of its responsiveness to the user's feelings. Due to the dynamics of demographic processes mentioned above, it was proposed to use the approach that engages the user in the process of creating a solution - through an innovative "senior customer" called "Innosumers" (Peine, Rollwagen, Neven 2014). The combination of these concepts allows us to present a holistic approach to design oriented to human well-being, and at the same time dynamically responsive.

Online courses often select asynchronous tools for teamwork as it allows temporal freedom for students who might come from different time zones or have busy schedules. These solutions work better with larger groups, where due to the quantity of participants, it is easier to get replies faster. In this study, we investigate challenges that arise in asynchronous discussions with small group (4-5 participants). Empirical data was collected from the UNIPS pedagogical employee training online course Becoming a Teacher and its teamwork period, where Google Docs was used as a discussion platform by 42 students. We observed that (1) discussion activity peaked around deadlines (2) students often came online in vain as their team members had not replied yet and (3) when students were online simultaneously, they were not able to take advantage of this by engaging in synchronous communication. As solutions, we propose improving the synchrony of the communication via more structured instructions and increasing the affordances of the communication tools.

This study aimed to assess pedestrians' perceptions about accessibility and safety with an aim to identify factors that influence their choice of mobility in an urban environment in the Municipality of Tlaquepaque, Mexico. A survey was conducted of 299 people aged 18 to 72 years old. The study was undertaken in situ while the users were at transit on the place. Most of the participants pointed out the presence of obstacles to free access and over than 60% of the participants considered that the design of the road could imply problems to people with disabilities. In terms of safety, almost 80% of participants consider the lack of respect to pedestrians as the main fact that represents safety risks for them. Overall, the study allows recognising a series of elements of the urban space might be considered to create an age-friendly - safe and accessible - environment.

Products claiming sustainability benefits have been spreading all over the world in response, manly, to the consumer's behavior change towards a healthier and more sustainable way of life. However, what guarantee do consumers have that the products they are consuming are in fact more sustainable? Apart from certified products, the consumer believes in a common-sense assessment of sustainability supported in part by self-declarations and allegations from designers, producers, and retailers focusing only in few aspects of the life cycle, and in some cases, misleading consumers through greenwashing approaches. This paper is part of a Ph.D. research aiming to support a transition to circular economy and sustainability through design. The authors explore in this article the consumer perceptions of sustainability in products and communication strategies adopted. The results will support the development of guidelines to promote a more effective design practice for the development of sustainable and circular economy-based products.

The recent inclusion of computer science in the British secondary school education system has resulted in existing teaching staff who are not able to effectively deliver the curriculum. Existing environments-such as Greenfoot-help substantially but anecdotal evidence suggests that many pupils still struggle with some aspects of the computer science curriculum. This paper presents a workshop for teaching pupils about method calls in object-oriented programming, using swarm robotics and the firefly synchronisation algorithm as inspiration.

In recent years, advertising gamification has considerably evolved as an approach to increase consumer engagement and motivation. Given the continuous development of game interactivity and the multi-dimensional technology, the potential of advertising gamification still needs to be fully understood. The aim of this study is to investigate how advertising gamification influence consumers' advertising attitude, brand image and brand attitude by looking into the effect of different image experience (2D/3D) and interactivity (interactive/non-interactive). This paper conducts an experiment (N = 40) among young people aged 20-26 years old to compare the effects of advertisements. The main effects are significant, which provide strong evidence of how an interactive gamified experience and higher media image experience can increase advertising attitude, brand image and brand attitude, and provide new insights about the effectiveness of several game mechanics. Ultimately, we can also explore the importance of interactive design in the process of advertising gamification and the possibility of its application in the fields of AR.

The textile industry is an innovative field, a generator of competitive products, absolutely indispensable to many other fields (aeronautics, medicine, shipping, agriculture, environmental protection etc.) In this philosophy, important researches have been carried out in order to develop new generations of textile products for strategic applications. The paper presents important issues regarding: the role of helicopter thermal protection system as well as parachute recovery in the main system (supersonic aircraft);design of thermal protection woven structure for thermal protection of the helicopters as well as the woven structure for main parachute of recovery systems for landing of the supersonic aircraft, based on aerodynamic characteristics and areas of use;the main fabric structure characteristics used in the two systems;description of the phenomena occurring on the main parachute canopy at landing of the supersonic aircraft;structural analysis of the main parachute canopy of the aircraft deceleration system;the interdependence between the aerodynamic, geometric and mass characteristics of the considered systems and the characteristics of the fabric. The design and realization of these product types are based on the specific requirements imposed by its fields of application, which governs the system and the selection of components. Typical design and delivery criteria have been considered: safety in operation (the criterion of the greatest importance);mass and volume in order to efficiently use the loading value;stability;reproducibility of performance, etc.

Over the school year, children tend to get poor posture, which will gradually be manifesting through malaise, pain and the risk behaviors, even dysfunctions of musculoskeletal component causing affectation muscle groups and overload in structures. This study aimed to implement an exercise program using videogames through the Wii Fit platform, in order to verify if the intervention is effective in the postural alterations of 54 children and adolescents, in relation to the posture, flexibility and decreased back pain. After 8 weeks of intervention, significant results were obtained in the reduction of complaints of back pain (p = 0.040) and pain while in video game activity (p = 0.033), and improvements in posture and flexibility, but without significant difference. This study demonstrated that the exercise plan in the Wii platform allows positive effects on the variables and allows a greater incentive to the participants, the awakening for its future application.

The growth of Electronical Health Records (EHR) in healthcare has been gradual. However, a simple EHR system has become inefficient in supporting health professionals on decision making. In this sense, the need to acquire knowledge from storing data using open models and techniques has emerged, for the sake of improving the quality of service provided and to support the decision-making process. The usage of open models promotes interoperability between systems, communicating more efficiently. In this sense, the OpenEHR open data approach is applied, modelling data in two levels to distinguish knowledge from information. The application of clinical terminologies was fundamental in this study, in order to control data semantics based on coded clinical terms. This article culminated from the conceptualization of the knowledge acquisition process to represent Clinical Decision Support, using open data models.

The paper describes the hypothesis of an applicative part of the author's research Design for the sensitive experience (The research has allowed the author to organize interviews and discussion with different city users and psychologists permitting the definition of parameters and categories described in this paper. Anyway these parameters are questionable and have to be implemented thru the second part of the research, thru the comparison with results taken from investigation that are planned to be made also with technological advices.). It's an experimental project aimed to create the bases to develop an open source mobile application where the city users can directly communicate with planners, designers and administration. The 'app' would consist in an interactive city map, a model that can be extended to any cities. In particular, the paper displays the experiment conducted within the PhD research, applied to four itineraries of Rome city. The experiment can be tested on other urban realities and it illustrates the parameters identified to map the city areas and the tools that can be used. The method adopted to monitor the sustainable-mobility, is the development of an application that has to be used especially during the planning phase of the visit, before to start a city tour, not only in the while of a walk.
