According to Ministry of road transport and highways (MoRTH), Government of India, 84% of road accidents in 2016 occurred due to driver's fault. Mind wandering, an internal source of driver distraction has been a latent and less researched factor for road accidents. This necessitates the requirement to study the influence of mind wandering during driving in greater detail to improve driver and road safety. Among various vehicle parameters, vehicle speed is considered a significant parameter in determining the probability of accidents. This study investigated the influence of vehicular speed on mind wandering in high perceptual simulated driving. This study assessed the variability of speed and frequency of mind wandering during two-speed conditions: 40 mph and 70 mph. Results indicated greater variability in speed during mind wandering for both speed conditions. The frequency of mind wandering at 70 mph and 40 mph condition was 22.5% and 26% respectively. Participants response to questionnaire revealed driving environment and personal matters to be major contributors for mind wandering.

Creativity is the considered as one of the five key 21st century competencies for the twenty-first century. This research paper aimed to enhance creativity to thirty-two school students' while interactivity in programming with different robotic sets or tools as part of an informal curricular program. Main goal of these interventions was to nurture primary school students to computer programming skills and develop their problem solving and creativity. Results exemplified students' personal traits in their creative thinking in specific components of creativity. The paper showed that the methodological development of the educational robotics curriculum strives to utilize creative skills of young students.

Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) have been considered in New Product Development (NPD) to develop solutions that are useable and useful while maintaining productivity. The importance of technology and design has increased at the intersection between NPD and HFE. Developing a new product driven by technology is known as a technology driven approach which can be infused into existing ergonomic product development processes and may result in the development of effective, new and innovative products. The purpose of this study is to instigate design methods and tools that can be applicable to the technology driven NPD process. The literature regarding existing design methods and tools used and potentially utilized in technology driven NPD process has been reviewed in this study. Also, the role of HFE experts in a technology driven NPD process is addressed in the discussion section. In addition, when to use the design methods and tools found in the literature in the front end of the technology driven NPD process is suggested in this paper to help develop new and innovative products.

Nursing is one of the occupations with a high risk for the occurrence of low back pain, affecting both health and working abilities. The low back pain management among healthcare professionals could be one of the key implications to prevent and control injuries and accidents related to low back pain. This research aims to study the prevalence, risk factors, impact, and guidelines on low back pain management. Another aim is to assess the low back pain knowledge among working nurses. One hundred nurses (78 females and 22 males) aged 34.2 +/- 8.8 years from a Thai public hospital, were participated in this study. The survey was distributed to all participants to access to personal information, work information and low back pain assessment. The results showed that there were about 86 nurses experiencing low back pain at the time of the study. The severity was analyzed according to the Fairbank disability scores from Oswestry low back pain disability questionnaires. There were mild disabilities about 71% among participants. The three greatest impacts of low back pain on the daily activities were standing (31%), sitting (26%) and walking (26%) respectively. Risk factors associated with low back pain were age, body mass index, weight, duration of employment, gender, marital status, job category, smoking and wearing high-heeled shoes. Specific tasks were ranked from the greatest to the least that associated with low back pain. There are following: pushing or pulling loads, twisting the trunk, bending forward or leaning backward, lifting heavy objects with two hands and carrying loads with one hand. The massage therapy, relaxation, and pain killer medication were as common low back pain management among nurses. Most of the nurses assessed their knowledge about low back pain at a moderate level.

The study assesses the detectability design of coins produced by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Two sets of coins are currently in circulation: the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the New Generation Currency Coin Series. Three types of timed detection tests were performed under controlled conditions to measure effectiveness (accuracy) and efficiency (duration) in detecting coins. These tests differ in sense/s used to detect the coins: visual only, tactile only, and both visual & tactile. Results show that BSP coins are generally easier and faster to identify than NGC coins. Furthermore, subjects find it easier to detect the obverse side of coins compared to the reverse. When using the visual sense only, subjects respond faster as compared to only using the tactile sense, and show no significant difference when using both visual and tactile senses. Thus, the tactile design features of the coins may be ineffective for detectability.

Call centers represent the basis in today's market. Nowadays, in every enterprise exist a call center which has the main objective to handle client's issues. This research paper refers to a communication system designed for automatic client interaction, called "Cloud computing Customer Communication Center". The communication center comprises: a Unified Communications System (UCS) providing communication channels such as telephony, SMS, email, video, chat, etc.;a Data Processing Server (DPS) which provides support for the operations required by customers and a Voice Interaction Module (VIM) for automatic communication with clients, which consists of a speech recognition module, a speech synthesis module and a dialog management module that communicates through a MRCP (Media Resource Control Protocol) protocol with the Unified Communication System (UCS) and the Data Processing Server (DPS). The "Cloud computing Customer Communication Center" integrates support modules for platform functionality, such as: redundant power supply, cloud-based LAN/Wi-Fi broadcasting environment, online platform management and various cloud applications.

Shared office space is on the rise in China, and at the same time, it is facing the challenge of improving service capacities. The traditional researches are mainly based on the logic of things in space, which emphasizes the rational configuration of the properties of "things". This paper put forward a design model of Shared office space based on users' logic of behavior. In the end, this paper got the types and demands of users and the characteristics of the behavior in sharing office space through analysis. Determined the requirements of which equipment would be used in Shared office space;Got the user's logic of behavior and carried on the space plan of the equipment;Digital human model and equipment model were built and simulated. The simulation results of Shared office space design were evaluated comprehensively and the conclusion was drawn.

Advertising delivers messages in innovative ways to attract target audience. While some evidence shows that emotions, as well as cultural values, are key factors affecting the process of advertising and communication. In this paper, the influence of human factors, including social recognition and emotion concerns in the communication design process. However, few studies investigated how human factors can enhance creativity and interact with the communication process. Hence, this research study aimed at investigating the relationships between emotion and social recognition to motivate the interactions between the roles in the communication process. The effects of introducing emotional concerns into the design process of advertising design is also discussed. This study was conducted to develop a new strategy that could provide an optimised communication process, which would essentially include the emotional concerns of the creative and target audience.

Museums are important places for people's access to historical and cultural information. Therefore, people's experience and perception of information content shall be the main orientation of museum design. By using multiple media to build the exhibition space and interface, designers aim to form varied spatial effects and thereby combine educational functions with entertaining activities. The research content is divided into three parts: 1. An overview of the collisions between human and spatial scenarios in museums;2. Observation of the expression of human-computer interaction technology in museum information transmission;3. A brief description of the relation between media convergence and the spatial visual effects experienced by people in museums. In this paper, based on the aforesaid three aspects, the author unfolded a comprehensive discussion and explored the application of these theories in the design of information transmission in the narrative space of museums.

Data shows that workers with disabilities are still lagging in employment rates compared to healthy workforce. They report high job insecurity, are less likely to receive employer-based benefits, are more likely to be laid off and are also more likely to work in part-time jobs. Since many companies do not employ ergonomists, employers have a problem to identify a suitable workplace, yet alone to propose the needed accommodations. To mitigate these problems, we developed a decision support system that aids in the whole process of categorizing and identifying disabilities of workers and assigns a suitable workplace in an integrated work environment inside the company to ensure high safety, productivity and satisfaction of workers and employers.
