Object: To improve the effectiveness of safety signs, it is necessary to study their comprehensibility and design features. Methods 100 respondents and 6 safety signs were selected to conduct research on the comprehensibility and design features of safety signs. Results The design features of safety signs directly affect their comprehensibility. Abstract, and relevance can be taken care of during design, while familiarity can be improved by pre-education and training.

Interestingly, awareness and action in developing countries about psychosocial risks is far off the successes experience in developed economies. Psychosocial risk places huge cost on organisations as workers are faced with strain and job-related diseases which affect overall output of organisations. Also, few studies on psychosocial risk seems to focus more on heavy industries rather than the service sector where psychosocial risk factors can be identified and stress is overlooked or misinterpreted. The aim of this study is to examine the mediation role of job satisfaction on the relationship between psychosocial risk management and psychological attachment. A cross-sectional survey was designed to collect quantitative data from respondents within the Ghanaian Banking sector. The study adopted a multi stage sampling technique to select 220 employees for the survey. First, researchers used hierarchical correlation coefficient to test hypotheses and SPSS Process to test for mediation. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between the predictor which is psychosocial risk management and psychological attachment which is the outcome(r = 0.209, p < 0.01) with job satisfaction as a partial mediator between the relationship (z = 2.3003, p = 0.0214), after a sobel test was conducted. An indication that job satisfaction is critical in explaining the relationship between psychosocial risk management and psychological attachment.

For a long time, science has been dedicated to revealing various indicators of the human body, including height and weight. The same purpose is also for this paper. Based on data on the hand of people from ten different countries, this paper do some research with the help of multi-variate analysis tools. According to the different characteristics of the data, this paper first carried out the analysis of variance on hand length. Then, according to the different dimension of hand shape, including the vertical length of the palm, the metacarpal and the length of the index finger, factor analysis was carried out, and two influence factors were extracted. Then, multiple regressions were performed on these variables, at the same time, stepwise regression method was adopted, and the main independent variables were chose from the constructed model. Finally, gender is set to a dummy variable to study the impact of gender differences on the hand length.

A ceramic tile's project, which is intended to stimulate the interaction of the child with his/her surroundings, was developed and prototyped. It focused on physical and emotional comfort through visual and tactile properties, targeting children but also parents as users and consumers. This project aims to create diversity by appropriation of the users, who may customize it using their imagination. The contribution of Human Factors and Ergonomics in a stage of evaluation of this design project had to be taken under account and applied as a useful tool in the design process. Besides literary review, this paper reports a study with primary school children with 9-12 years of age, based on interview and a quasi-experimental approach with drawing sessions, facing prototypes of the ceramic tiles' project. The results revealed much diversity and gave clues about their preferences, their interaction with indoor home environment, ceramic coatings and the child's imaginative universe in the context of the pre-teenage phase of their development. Also conclusive is the overall importance that HFE revealed once more in the development of a design project.

Our study aimed to explore Foursquare mobility networks and investigate phenomena of clustering venues across the cities. We performed graph-based clustering to detect venues that highly interact among each other in terms of aggregated users mobility flows. Available Foursquare data included check-in information for ten large worldwide cities, observed in the period of two years, each having large number of geo-tagged venues coupled with semantic information in form of venue category. Such data allowed us to study cities as complex systems and explore their dynamic nature. We obtain global overview on the semantics content of clusters derived from venues categories, quantified changes in the clusters on a monthly bases and compared results between cities.

This paper provides an analysis of the influence of an urban spatial planning policy on the living standards and the costs of living of the city's residents and on the costs borne by the municipality. In the analysis, two scenarios for the development of spatial planning of a selected city (of approx. 350,000 residents and 176 km(2)) were compared: the so-called 'compact city' and 'diffuse city'. A city transport demand model was also used in the analysis. It was developed by the authors for different time horizons of the forecast period. The key objective of the housing policy described in this paper should be to manage the spatial development of the city in the most beneficial way. This requires a thorough multiple-criteria assessment of a number of development scenarios using state-of-the-art IT tools, such as 'transport demand models' used by the authors, and the results of market research into the residents' preferences.

Initial programming curricular units are of great importance to computer courses. There has been very important work with curriculum recommendations, notably those from Association for computing Machinery (ACM) and laterACMin conjunction with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE): so far almost twenty curriculum recommendations have been published. computing is a constantly evolving area, as is society and the way new generations learn. Why are so many recommendations needed? And what are the developments in these recommendations? This article lists initial course units that are suggested or used as examples in each of the curriculum recommendation reports, both initial and generic, and those that address a specific area, namely Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), Information systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), and Software Engineering (SE). This study is of great importance for those who have the responsibility to design and redesign curricula as it points out a number of different paths, namely in relation to the already mentioned distinction by areas but also the distinction that is made by university size, previous knowledge of the students, and also duration of studies, among other variables. Knowing history makes it possible to understand the present and even make better choices for the future.

Visual communication is not only significant and indispensable in outstanding in advertising, but also a form of language for art to visually communicate the idea of advertisements. This study aimed at discovering how can visual elements be applied in television commercials to associate with the observers' emotion psychologically as well as to affect their decision-making process behaviourally through conducting the depth interview, content analysis and library research. This is done by showing the application of visual elements and the findings on the research in term of lighting and colours, mood and tones, signs, symbols, key signifiers, and typeface. This research focuses on the use of visual strategies, and explore how they could evoke male and female audience using different approaches. Another goal of the study is to reveal the impacts in terms of sociology and psychology when certain visual elements applied in television commercials.

The frequent changes in the cultural, technological, social and environmental aspects of our society demonstrate the need for better crisis management and process safety. This improvement is not limited to industrial facilities, but should be extended to all organizations involved in crisis management. Knowing and understanding what actions to take during a disaster facilitates integrated management, which is crucial for successful operations. Prioritizing actions becomes challenging when multiple events occur. The time for action is short, requiring efficient communication between the parties involved and nimble decision making. This paper discusses a case study of the identification and analysis of human error during a disaster simulation and understanding the risks related to human decisions and actions in crisis management. Thus, the object of study is to evaluate the perception, decision, memory, competence, communication, emotional balance of the team and leader, in the treatment of emergency actions and contingency in disasters.

Representation Learning in dynamic networks has gained increasingly more attention due to its promising applicability. In the literature, we can find two popular approaches that have been adapted to dynamic networks: random-walk based techniques and graph-autoencoders. Despite the popularity, no work has compared them in well-know datasets. We fill this gap by using two link prediction settings that evaluate the techniques. We find standard node2vec, a random-walk method, outperforms the graph-autoencoders.
