The concept of cultural and creative industries was first proposed by the United Kingdom. After that, UNESCO defined the cultural and creative industries. In recent years, China has proposed a series of new ideas and opinions on the innovation and development of cultural and creative industries, more and more experts and scholars have proposed to guide the development of China's cultural and creative industries by studying the cultural and creative industries of Western countries. However, the difference between China and the Western countries is not only reflected in the differences in the cultural heritage of the two sides, but also in people's understanding and expression of the respective cultures. For cultural and creative products, the cultural base is the design of the soul, then when how to transfer cultural concepts to product design in a subtle manner, the method is especially important. In the paper, first of all, literature search, field research, expert interviews and other methods are used to find differences in lifestyle and state, cultural understanding and expression between China and Italy, representative of the Western countries. Through the KJ method and cluster analysis method, the cultural design language expressions of the forms, structures, functions, colors, human factors, materials and techniques of cultural and creative products in China and Western countries are summarized and compared. The design thinking and methods that can be used in the development of Chinese cultural products are obtained. Finally, taking China's Songxi culture and creative products as an example, the design practice has been carried out and has obtained good social and user evaluation. The research results will have important theoretical and practical significance for the design and development of Chinese cultural and creative products.

The purpose of this study was to develop a comprehensive list of risk factors for lower-extremity work-related musculoskeletal disorders (LE-WMSDs) in the hip. The comprehensive list of risk factors provided information such as specific factors, exposure dosage, and the degree of risk. The development process used the Delphi method that involved subject-matter experts in evaluating risk factors from the literature and adding risk factors based on the expert's opinion. Eighteen risk factors for LE-WMSDs in the hip were confirmed through two rounds of Delphi surveying. The results of the study suggest that occupational risk factors such as lower extremity postures (i.e., kneeling, sitting, stair climbing, and standing), manual material handling activities, and whole-body vibration with various exposure dosing are risk factors for LE-WMSDs in the hip. The results of the study also indicate the importance of considering worker-specific factors such as body mass index, gender, medical history, and sports participation as another category of risk factors for LE-WMSDs in the hip. Furthermore, the results of this study suggest that the application of the Delphi method offers a possibility for broadening the state of knowledge for an issue such as risk factors for LE-WMSDs.

The ageing of population in Western societies has a marked impact on social reality and its effects affect many areas, including work. Ageing has implications, both positive and negative, in people's abilities and skills. While some abilities (vision, hearing, strength.) may decrease, some cognitive functions, such as controlling the use of language or the ability to process complex problems, may improve with age. Although the effects of ageing on skills have been widely studied, the variability of the evolution of people makes it necessary to have assessment methods that consider older workers and, in particular, that value the ability to work and guide towards criteria that favour labour insertion and ergonomic adaptation of jobs. These are the principles that have guided the development of the "Ergo + 50" methodology, an ergonomic assessment procedure aimed at detecting working conditions that have a specific relationship with the ageing process. The methodology includes two interrelated modules that analyse, on the one hand, the characteristics of tasks and jobs (environmental conditions, cognitive aspects, physical load, design, organization, policies.) and, on the other hand, the perceived abilities of older workers, to carry out the tasks. The results obtained include the prioritized diagnosis of the situation, as well as recommendations for improvement.

The rationality of chair back design is an important index of comfort of an office chair. Sitting in a comfortable office chair can Improve work efficiency and prevent disease. Through the existing literature investigation and preliminary experiments, it can be found that the current defects and difficulties in the design of chair back mainly lie in the curve of chair back, which also attracts the researchers' interests recently. In this paper, we will study the curve of the back of the chair, measure the spine curve of the human body sitting posture with Qualisys, investigate the existing design problems of the back curve of the chair, and finally put forward suggestions and design basis for the back of the chair based on ergonomics.

Digital media usage can be problematic;exhibiting symptoms of behavioural addiction such as mood modification, tolerance, conflict, salience, withdrawal symptoms and relapse. Google Digital Wellbeing and Apple Screen Time are examples of an emerging family of tools to help people have a healthier and more conscious relationship with technology. Peer support groups is a known technique for behaviour change and relapse prevention. It can be facilitated online, especially with advanced social networking techniques. Elements of peer support groups are being already embedded in digital wellbeing tools, e.g. peer comparisons, peer commitments, collective usage limit-setting and family time. However, there is a lack of research about the factors influencing people acceptance and rejection of online peer support groups to enhance digital wellbeing. Previous work has qualitatively explored the acceptance and rejection factors to join and participate in such groups. In this paper, we quantitatively study the relationship between culture, personality, self-control, gender, willingness to join the groups and perception of their usefulness, on such acceptance and rejection factors. The qualitative phase included two focus groups and 16 interviews while the quantitative phase consisted of a survey (215 participants). We found a greater number of significant models to predict rejection factors than acceptance factors, although in all cases the amount of variance explained by the models was relatively small. This demonstrates the need to design and, also, introduce such technique in a contextualised and personalised style to avoid rejection and reactance.

The aim of this paper is to understand the effects of the interaction between clothes, body shape and measurements and how it affects 3 subjects with different body mass index. Also, it wishes to observe the application of a mixed, qualitative/quantitative scientific methodology. The plus size public, despite being already majority in many countries is still seen as a niche market. This is a promising and lucrative market and many companies are looking to embrace it. The increase in the quality of the clothing products depends on the knowledge development in several areas among which the ergonomics and anthropometry. The results indicate the statistical and morphological variation between the groups and within the groups, and in the visual analysis.

The bobbin lace is considered an ancient handcraft. It already exists for more than 500 years as we can see it at the city of Peniche in the country of Portugal. Of course, it hasn't a linear story to write about the bobbin lace. It was weave as the same manner, using the same technique over the years, and the same material was been used, the cotton wire. Following the new tendency of the world and using the skill that the technology brings to us, we are improving this ancient technique. With an interventionist methodology we introduce a new material. Replacing the cotton thread, we proposed to weave with the ceramic wire. Maintaining the same technique of weaving we got different results what bring to us the conception of new other objects.

The fulfillment of unmet needs for contraception can help women reach their reproductive goals. It was proven to have a significant impact on reducing the rates of unintended pregnancies, and thereby cut the number of morbidity and mortality resulting from these pregnancies, and improving the lives of women and children in general. Therefore, there is a growing concern worldwide about contraception and women's knowledge of making an advised-choice about it. In this aspect, an outgrown number of apps are now available providing clinical resources, digital guides, or educational information concerning contraception whether it concerns natural contraception or modern contraception. However, vast amounts of these apps contain inaccurate sexual health facts and non-evidence based information concerning contraception. On these bases, and in respect to the needs of women to effectively prevent unintended pregnancies while conducting a stress-free healthy lifestyle, the World Health Organization (WHO) Medical Eligibility Criteria (MEC) for contraception's recommendations, and the results and recommendations of a field study conducted in the reproductive health center Les Oranges in Rabat to collect the app's requirements, we developed an Android app named 'MyContraception'. Our solution is an evidence-based patient-centered contraceptive app that has been developed in an attempt to facilitate: (1) Seeking evidence-based information along with recommendations concerning the best contraceptive fit (according to one's medical characteristics, preferences and priorities) helping users make informed decisions about their contraceptive choices. (2) Monitoring one's own menstrual cycle, fertility window, contraceptive methods usage, and the correlation between these different elements and everyday symptoms in one app. (3) Keeping record of one's family medical history, medical appointments, analyses, diagnoses, procedures and notes within the same app. In future work, conducting a

In the textile industry, the jacquard weaving industry is an important branch. Jacquard weaving industry offers rich varieties thanks to computer-aided design system used in pattern design. In parallel to changing fashion trends and consumer perceptions, design of the jacquard fabric is as important as the technology used in design. In researches to determine fabric-designing trends, the cultural perceptions embraced by the society are used. Accordingly, the themes that reflect the experiences and practices of the society are incorporated in the fabric designs. The fact that the designer emphasizes the culture of society and uses it in fabric designs emphasizes the culturally rich design concept. The aim of this research is to emphasize the social phenomena by making new designs inspired by the life stories of Ottoman sultans in jacquard fabric designing. This study was performed by scanning method. The population of the study was the life stories of the Ottoman Sultans, while the sample of the study was the study of the life story of the Ottoman Sultan "Mehmed the Conqueror". Stories from the life of Fatih Sultan Mehmed were compiled based on the resources available within the scope of the study. Rumeli Fortress and the Map to which the Sultan attached importance, were determined as the theme. Jacquard weaving technique and the fabric patterns are created from in line with the themes and designed in detail from sketching phase to digital design phase and produced as jacquard fabric. In this study, the fabric designs and the images of the fabrics produced are included.

This paper outlines the importance of contextual theoretical, empirical research and research by design in order to create inclusive concepts at the start of a design process. 26 master students were invited to reflect upon an old prison site in order to create a new entrance for Hasselt University representing an open university for all. Whereas many student excercises in Design for All (DfA) often focus on the needs and disabilities of people, this excercise focused on the abilities of people on site and on the opportunities of the architectural site itself. By means of linking both results, the excercise demonstrates to be very inspirational to both students and staff. The paper concludes with a categorisation in contextual analysis from an experiential as well as an architectural point of view.
