In this paper, a new approach for zero-watermarking has been proposed based on log-polar mapping, all phase biorthogonal sine transform and singular value decomposition. The core idea is to produce a zero watermark to protect the copyright of the image. For this purpose, the host image is transformed into the log-polar domain followed by the all phase biorthogonal sine transform (APBST). The transformed coefficients are then divided into nonoverlapping blocks and some blocks are selected based on secret key. These blocks are finally used to formulate a reference matrix which is utilized to generate a zero watermark for the host image. A detailed experimental analysis is conducted to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed algorithm against various image/signal processing distortions.

In the absence of the upper limb, prosthetic devices attempt to assist the user in performing the basic activities of daily life, such as holding and manipulating objects. However, such equipment has high costs, which makes it difficult for the users to acquire it. In this context, alternative solutions for prosthesis began to emerge in order to reduce costs as well as to improve usability. With the recent technological advancements, areas such as robotics and electronics tend to become more accessible. The current study reports on the process of producing a transradial myoelectric bionic prosthesis and to analyze the potential of using rapid prototyping and low cost technologies. The results present the improvement in the design of upper limb prosthesis, highlighting the potential contributions of a low cost myoelectric prosthesis in terms of functionality and aesthetics.

With the development of the social economy, the traditional transportation mode will be replaced by the new mode which emphasizes the integration and cooperation between the transportation modes. The advent of automobilization in China has further intensified the pressure of the road traffic. The traffic jam alarm caused by the traffic accidents is increasing year by year. The minor accidents that can be dealt with quickly account for more than 70% of the traffic accidents. Traditionally, when dealing with the minor accidents, car owners often choose to stay on the spot and wait for the traffic police to deal with them. It is easy to cause "minor accidents and big traffic jams", which lead to the congestion of a road, a bridge and even a block.

This paper used a dataset of 86 cross-border M&A cases by Chinese listed firms from 2007 to 2012 and matched them with 81 domestic M&A cases to examine the post M&A performances. First, Probit and Logistic estimation methods were used to analyze whether the Chinese listed firm M&A decisions (cross-border or domestic) affected productivity levels, after which FGLS and OLS estimations were conducted to estimate the productivity changes five years before and after the merger years. It was found that firms involved in cross-border M&As have higher productivity than the domestic M&A group. However, in contrast with the domestic M&A, there was no significant productivity enhancements after the cross-border M&As. Further investigations found that stateowned enterprises (SOEs) performed better than privately-owned enterprises after the mergers and that firms located in developed areas were more likely to experience significant productivity enhancements after the cross-border M&As.

In the educational field, there is a paradigm shift, where the focus is on the student and his active role in the training process, and where there is a turn that involves moving from content teaching to the training of competences. This necessarily requires higher education institutions to articulate innovation processes that involve the entire academic community. On the other hand, in the current context of technological development and innovation, companies, particularly manufacturing companies, are committed to reviewing and adapting their processes to what has been called Industry 4.0, a circumstance that entails the need to require new professional profiles that have competencies not only technological, but fundamentally those that will allow them to be competitive in a world where technology is renewed at an ever-increasing speed. The work presents implementation of innovation strategies in the teaching methodology from the integration of simulation software under the educational format of Problem-Based Teaching, which on the one hand aims to develop various competencies increase levels of motivation and satisfaction.

In a world where artificial intelligence is one of the greatest assets, unmanned operations seem to be the future. The world of cybersecurity is witness to numerous system break-ins for the purpose of gaining access. One of the ways to gain access to systems is fulfilled by authentication, the process where an entity verifies who he or she claims to be to access a system. With network traffic increasing day by day, the bots form a huge chunk of the network traffic. Over the last few years, bots have been trained to imitate human beings to gain access to computer based systems. Traditional authentication methods are based on what we know, who we are and what we have, and can be bypassed easily these days. Bots have been known to imitate human beings in order to gain access to systems by identifying captchas and picture based authentication systems. A bot gaining access to sensitive data may have severe repercussions. Thus there is a need to introduce certain parameters that could easily tell apart a bot and a human being. One of the primary factors that differentiates bots and human beings is the kind of psychology embedded in humans. In this paper, we identify a set of cyberpsychological factors that could differentiate human beings from bots. This may prove to be beneficial for the purpose of authentication where a human being may be able to authenticate himself/herself based on his/her psychology, whereas a bot may not be able to do the same because of the lack of its thinking capabilities. Therefore, the issue focuses on three important domains, that is, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and cyberpsychology.

It is shown that the probability of making the right decision on the compliance of the object with the norms depends on the measurement uncertainty associated with the result of the measurement control of the object parameters and the length of the tolerance interval. The decisive rule on the suitability (unfitness) of the object of control should take into account both the possible uncertainty of the result and the requirements for the cost and complexity of the control procedure, as well as to the specified reliability. To improve the reliability of this procedure, a control method based on a sequential adaptive decision-making procedure is proposed, which takes into account the relationship of the parameters of the distribution law of the possible values of the controlled quantity, random effects in the measurement and the length of the tolerance interval. The decision-making procedure assumes consistently, depending on the result at the current stage, to introduce additional tolerance intervals, the length of which is determined by the parameters of the distribution function of random variables accompanying the measurements of the controlled parameters. The result of measurement of the controlled parameter is compared with these intervals, and decisions on continuation or completion of control with introduction of additional limits are made. This provides a reduction in the probability of erroneous decisions at each additional stage of control, since the time of the initial hit of the controlled value in a consistently calculated controlled interval is determined step by step. The use of a sequential adaptive procedure provides a given reliability of control and does not allow to carry out the control procedure in full for all possible values of the controlled value.

Based on the emotional design method, this paper demonstrates the design of children's infusion assistive products to make children feel relaxed, comfortable and happy during the process infusion. Around the emotional design, the main attempt and breakthrough is the design of children's transfusion hand plate and medical mask. This paper analyzes the present situation of the same kind of products and puts forward the existing problems. Through investigation and observation, it finds out the pain points of the products, improves the design and finally determines the final design plan through simulation and experiment.

We present a novel end-to-end framework for facial performance capture given a monocular video of an actor's face. Our framework are comprised of 2 parts. First, we optimize a triplet loss to learn the embedding space which ensures the semantically closer facial expressions are closer in the embedding space and the model can be transferred to distinguish the expressions that are not presented in the training dataset. Second, the embeddings are fed into an LSTM network to learn the deformation between frames. In the experiments, we demonstrated that compared to other methods, our method can distinguish the delicate motion around lips and significantly reduce artifacts between the tracked meshes.

This paper we explore challenges and opportunities of talent attraction and retention in middle-sized regional engineering university in Russia. This research effort aims to reveal the motivation of STEM Olympiads winners already enrolled at the middle-sized regional engineering university in Tatarstan, Russia - Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev (KNRTU-KAI) - to apply to this particular university instead of traditionally more "prestigious" options. The paper is an attempt to identify attractive features and shortcomings of studying at KNRTU-KAI and to suggest actions to attract more exceptional talents as well as to retain the existing ones.
