Self-driving is an emerging technology which has several benefits such as improved quality of life, crash reductions, and fuel efficiency. There are however concerns regarding the utilization of self-driving technology such as affordability, safety, control, and liabilities. There is an increased effort in research centers, academia, and the industry to advance every sphere of science and technology yet it is getting harder to find innovative ideas. However, there is untapped potential to analyze the increasing research results using visual analytics, scientometrics, and machine learning. In this paper, we used scientific literature database, Scopus to collect relevant dataset and applied a visual analytics tool, CiteSpace, to conduct co-citation clustering, term burst detection, time series analysis to identify emerging trends, and analysis of global impacts and collaboration. Also, we applied unsupervised topic modeling, Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to identify hidden topics for gaining more insight about topics regarding self-driving technology. The results show emerging trends relevant to self-driving technology and global and regional collaboration between countries. Moreover, the result form the LDA shows that standard topic modeling reveals hidden topics without trend information. We believe that the result of this study indicates key technological areas and research domains which are the hot spots of the technology. For the future, we plan to include dynamic topic modeling to identify trends.

In contrast to several domains (such as industry and economy) that have used the development of Big Data, artificial intelligence approaches and decision support systems, the field of education does not know a revolutionary deployment of this technology. In this perspective, we suggest an innovative approach for observing and analysing students' behaviour during their university studies. For example, to decrease the number of young graduates who are finding various difficulties in their professional launch, related to their training path not suitable to socio-economic market. In this paper, we will propose an original work, which consists to build patterns from the analysis of collected data to design a new system able to anticipate the future state of a student in professional level, by combining psychological and moral data with academic and professional data. These patterns help students in the future to make less risky decisions. The main objective of our paper is to create a strategic management and control system that helps students to make decisions about their study path by proposing adaptations and reorientations. The system is a decision-making system based on Neural Networks' algorithms. The primitive test of the system that was conducted on a sample of graduate students from Moroccan Universities (70 graduates), has proved an accuracy of 75% in terms of adaptation and reorientation.

The perception of the theory of communication network has led to enormous supplanting committed to simplex, duplex system in terms of various scales of interconnecting systems and switches. Each data interactive system needs to have a smart way for the design of efficient and tolerant system in terms of adaptability, versatility, execution, and effective data delivery. In this peculiarity, the system architects demand for a novel network on-chip router which is error free and minimized circuit path with greater packet delivery ratio, minimum delay, and better bandwidth utilization. In this paper, we propose the modeling of network architecture in consideration with 8 x 8 switch router which indulges the suitable algorithm for shortest path finder, i.e., minimum spanning tree, for efficient routing in run-time. We have demonstrated warmhole technique and virtual cut-through mechanisms for automatic correction with validating errors. So, we have selected verilog HDL for development under the environment of VIVADO Xilinx 2018-1 and demonstrated on Nexys DDR-4 Artix-7 Field Programmable Gate Array family bearing part number XCA7CGS100t comprised of 324 pins with the results it is noticed that better reliability and minimized latency of 36.5% with enhanced throughput reaching 40% than the existing router. The proposed design is acceptable in terms of better performance in terms of area, delay, and resource allocation.

In today's world, data is growing exponentially and widespread accessibility of data led to analyze and visualize data effectively using analytical techniques in healthcare industry. Big data analytics play a vital role and provides long-term benefits in tremendously handling huge explosive data. In this paper, we present an overview of different big data platform tools and different technologies that support big data analytics in health care. It also describes different steps involved in big data analytics process and also presents ways to improve health care by considering various facts by using big data analytics. As big data analytics has the potential to provide useful insight in health care, this article uses a review methodology to categorize the uses of big data in health care. This study provides a baseline to assess the essential prospects of computational health informatics and the use of big data in health care in understanding different scopes of big data platforms.

Technological advancements in the development of autonomous vehicles have been focusing on the very fundamental issues such as functionality and safety. On the other hand, design researchers have started to explore possible everyday life interactions between people and automated vehicles, as well as probing the acceptance of such a disruptive technology by people and the emergence of trust from humans towards such cars. In this paper, I speculate on the possibility that autonomous driving might enable new human-to-human relationships. Departing from the Co-Drive concept, which envisions a new way of travelling and socializing inside the car by sharing a car trip with a remote virtual companion, I focus on the design challenges into the creation of one's own virtual avatar who inhabits the car as the remote passenger and I draw possible design approaches into the construction of a (virtual) self-representation from the philosophy of mind.

This study use data from Kickstarter to find what factors are correlated with the numbers of backers of all projects and projects of different categories by using multiple linear regression model. The result shows that variables including projects goal, description information such as FAQs, updates and comments as well as the rewards characteristics are significantly affecting the number of projects backers. Besides, variables have different effect on projects backers of different categories, several factors show significantly effect on some projects but totally different results of others. It can help entrepreneurs to better understand backers' funding decision and attract more backers in order to increase the success rate of crowdfunding projects.

The analysis of the researches and the activity of modern engineer showed that his communication skills are a vital component of his professional competence nowadays. Having analyzed modern approaches to the development of communication skills we have designed organizational and pedagogical conditions for future engineers' communication skills development at foreign language classes. They include the organization of teaching process in cooperative groups, the use of portfolio method and mind maps, individual and cooperative, as cross-functional training devices and the use of interdisciplinary case-studies in professional field with the use of discussion moderation methods, according to the recommendations, developed to adapt a designed case to the knowledge and motivation level of each student's group. The ascertaining stage of our experiment showed that control and experimental groups have the same level of communication skills development which is insufficient.

An algorithm for parametric optimization of steel plane frames is proposed, which is based on a meta-heuristic job search inspired strategy and genetic algorithms using the main and elite populations. A feature of this computational scheme is the ability to effectively solve an optimum problem without introducing penalty functions. This allows us to strictly consider the constraints in any algorithm run. Tension-compression deformations, bending and pure torsion of the rods are taken into account. The goal is to minimize the mass of the frame rods, taking into account active constraints on stresses, displacements and overall stability, including the stability of individual rods. The cross sections of rods vary on discrete sets of admissible options. Analyzing the considered structure's deformations is performed using the finite-element method in the form of the displacement approach. The constraints on strength and stiffness are checked by iterative calculation of the stress-strain frame state, using a tangential stiffness matrix, which is formed considering the influence of normal forces on the bending of the rods. Information about the convergence of this computational process is required for the stability assessment of the structure. At the elite population formation stage, additional control is carried out on the stability of the frame's options on the basis of checking the positive definiteness of the tangent stiffness matrix. The efficiency of the proposed approach to the optimal design of frame structures is illustrated by the example of a rod system made of round tubes.

The motion control is indispensable in the industrial control. The physical prototype is often used as the controlled object in the design. With the rapid development of the computer and the modern integrated manufacturing system technology, the development of the low-cost and short-cycle virtual prototype is gradually replacing the traditional physical prototype, showing greater and greater effect in the design and manufacturing process. The purpose of this design is to provide a general simulation platform for debugging the motion control system, and to control the virtual prototype of the universal controller of the elevator and refueling vehicle with the help of the simulation platform. The simulation platform has the characteristics of versatility, flexibility, operability, intuitive display and iconicity.

Object grasp detection is foundational to intelligent robotic manipulation. Different from typical object detection tasks, grasp detection tasks need to tackle the orientation of the graspable region in addition to localizing the region since the ground truth box of the grasp detection is arbitrary-oriented in the grasp datasets. This paper presents a novel method for single-grasp detection based on rotational regionCNN((RCNN)-C-2). This method applies a common Region Proposal Network (RPN) to predict inclined graspable region, including location, scale, orientation, and grasp/non-grasp score. The idea is to deal with the grasp detection as a multi-task problem that involves multiple predictions, including predict grasp/non-grasp score, the inclined box and its corresponding axis-align bounding box. The inclined non-maximum suppression (NMS) method is used to compute the final predicted grasp rectangle. Experimental results indicate that the presented method can achieve accuracies of 94.6% (image-wise splitting) and 95.6% (object-wise splitting) on the Cornel Grasp Dataset, respectively. This method outperforms state-of-the-art grasp detection models that only use color images.
