In this paper, after extensive study and experimentation, the first classification of digraphs structures D corresponding to one-dimensional (1D) fractional continuous-time and discrete-time systems has been presented. It was found that digraph structures created can be divided into three classes K-1, K-2, K-3 with a different feasibility for different polynomials. Additional two cases of possible input-output digraph structure IO1, IO2 was investigated and discussed. It should be noted, that the proposed digraph classes give the opportunity to easily determine the realization of the dynamic system as a set of matrices ( A, B, C). The proposed digraphs classification was illustrated with some numerical examples.

The article discusses selected functional-spatial and socio-economical issues taking place in communes in a metropolitan area. The processes under investigation pertain to the transformation period in Poland after 1989. Poland's accession to the European Union in 2004, development of self-governmental policies, and introduction of market-oriented economy boosted, among others, further spatial diversification of communes adjacent to the central city. The selected social and economic phenomena under analysis include years 2000-2017 with reference to results of earlier research of the above-mentioned processes in years 2000-2010 and 2010-2015 in 17 communes of the Poznan county, which together constitute the Poznan . Metropolitan Area (Polish: POM). The functional and spatial structure of housing areas in communes of the Poznan county is dominated by single-family housing. Urban planning of communes adjacent to the central city is linked to, among others, human migration into the areas of the communes and development of business activation areas.

This research paper deals with executing a task to examine contextual relevance of ICT-CALL modules in promoting employability skills among engineering students. This empirical study is based on ensuing perceptions of the learners in the context of imparting useful communication skills promoting employability skills through the ICT-CALL modules. This study probes mainly on how these skills enable individual interest in encouraging skills among the students based on the data collected from the students as a pilot study in one of the reputed national institutes of technologies in India. Theoretical groundwork for task has been demonstrated to the respondents. This task emphasizes mainly on the use of the learning modules and activities practiced in the language labs in promoting employability skills and to propose appropriate recommendations as well. This research asserts to be pragmatic, aiming to meet the objectives of the study, and this study is confined to the data collected from the 30 engineering students from one of the technology institutes in the state of Chhattisgarh in India.

A novel Fuzzy Logic-based user scheduling scheme called "Fuzzy-based User Scheduling Evaluation (FUSE)" for ultra-dense wireless networks is proposed. The proposed scheme aims to overcome a drawback of the state of the art scheduling schemes - Maximum Signal-to-Noise Ration (Max-SNR), Proportional Fairness (PF), Exponential/Proportional Fairness (EXP/PF) and Modified Largest Weighted Delay First (M-LWDF) by providing a better balance between delay and throughput related parameters at scheduling decision making. The performance results demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms EXP/PF and M-LWDF.

New challenges have emerged in data mining as the traditional techniques have floundered with real-time data streams. The traditional technique needs refurbishing so as to acclimatize with concept drifting data streams. Thus dealing with the concept changes is the most imperative task of stream data mining. Ensemble classifiers have the ability to automatically adapt with the incoming drifts and, therefore, it is the most interesting research area in data stream mining. Bagging, Boosting and Random forest generation are the common ensemble techniques and are the most popular machine learning approaches in the current scenario for static data (Gomes HM, Bifet A, Read J, Barddal JP, Enembreck F, Pfharinger B, Abdessalem T (2017) Adaptive random forests for evolving data stream classification. Mach Learn 106(910):469-1495, [1]). A large number of base classifiers in an ensemble can cause computational overhead. Data mining classifiers for real-time data streams, therefore, need to be updated constantly and retrained with the labeled instances of the newly arrived novel classes in data streams and to cope with concept drift;otherwise, the mining models will become less and less accurate as time passes by. However, for data streams, adaptive random forest algorithms have been widely used for ensemble generation due to its competence to handle different types of drifts. This paper proposes a modified adaptive random forest with meta level learner algorithm and concept adaptive very fast decision tree to overcome the concept drift problem in real-time data streams. The proposed algorithm is experimentally compared with state-of-the-art adaptive random forest algorithm on several real synthetic datasets. Results indicate its efficiency in terms of accuracy and processing time.

The simplified method for solving the problem of oscillations of the bearing and enclosing constructions of buildings and structures under the action of vibrations propagating in ground bases during the movement of railway transport is theoretically justified. The proposed method is based on the division of the structural scheme into separate rod constructions, the calculation of which is carried out sequentially on the dynamic deviations of their supports. Vibration process excited in the grounds during the movement of transport leads to dynamic vibrations of the constructions of buildings located near transport communications, which leads to additional dynamic loading in these structures. Decrease in operational characteristics of structures is expressed in cracking and local destruction. A computational model for estimating these effects is proposed as follows: source of dynamic load (moving railway transport), load transfer medium (soil), building structure (impact receiver). When forming the design schemes, the simplifying assumption about the discretization of the design scheme based on the d'Alembert's principle is taken into account. The solution of the equations of motion is represented in the form of expansion in its own forms of vibrations. Some simplifications of the computational model have been substantiated, which allows obtaining numerical results for practical use. The presented calculation of building constructions for dynamic displacements of supports caused by dynamic impacts from traffic is a theoretical basis for taking into account such effects in the design and construction.

Japanese words are written with three types of characters: kanji (Japanese-Chinese characters), hiragana and katakana. Katakana are frequently used for names of goods and people appearing in anime and video games. Impressions of names are affected by meaning, shape of the characters and sounds when they are pronounced. In the present study, meaningless character strings which consisted of three katakana characters were presented on a computer display. Participants looked at each character string and rated their impressions for it using semantic differential method. They were not allowed to pronounce the character strings. The results of factor analysis showed that the impression space for the character strings was spanned by two dimensions, pleasantness and sharpness. The pleasantness was deeply affected by whether the strings included the voiced consonants, /b/, /di, /g/ or /z/. The sharpness was deeply affected by the place of articulation of the consonant of the first mora in the strings. These results show that the impressions of the character strings are strongly determined by the sounds when the strings are pronounced, despite the fact that the participants were not allowed to pronounce them.

Stabilizing the Quality of Service (QoS) currently being viewed as the main challenge in cloud computing environment and can be achieved either by employing an efficient queuing model or robust scheduling and allocation policies with load balancing features or combination of both. The QoS attributes are analyzed in a parallel queuing model featuring a pure analytical approach and extend enhancement to our previous work. The aim of the paper is to study behavior of hybrid parallel queuing model under conditions of three time varying input parameters: arrival rate, service rate, and number of servers on the response variables: queue length, waiting time, response time, and server utilization factor. With the change in these input parameters, the impact on response variables is analyzed to arrive at a valid conclusion.

A number of optimization techniques have been used by researchers to solve the non-convex Economic Dispatch (ED) problem. In this paper, we have applied Wind-Driven Optimization (WDO), a heuristic global optimization technique to solve the ED problem. The technique was applied to three different test systems and the results obtained were compared and analyzed with the results obtained from other techniques. MATLAB R2017a was used for the coding and execution of the algorithm.

Operating overvoltage in power grid is one of the important reasons of high-voltage equipment damage. It is accompanied by the operation of the power grid equipment, and power grid overvoltage calculation must be applied to the new project commissioning, especially the UHV project in order to understand the overvoltage conditions, take protective measures to prevent damage to equipment. Based on power electronics and electromagnetic transient calculation program, in the paper author established an electromagnetic transient model of the +/- 800 kV converter station ac system. Simulation analysis is carried out for the possible operating overvoltage during the start-up and debugging of the ac system. It is helpful to provide technical basis for debugging scheme, at the same time provide data for the operation and maintenance of the converter station in the future.
