Smart Sweeping robots (represented by the letter A&B) were selected in this study to compare the interface design. Twelve volunteers (5 males and 7 females) from 17 to 46 years old were recruited to complete the set-use tasks in a simulated living room environment. The evaluation results between 2 Smart Seeping robots that based on user experience were significant differences in certain aspects, which might be the result of the distinction of interface design. Interface layout, terminology & graphical symbols and their visibility, information transfer and feedback all affected the results. Then we used different design theories to analyze and evaluate these aspects and proposed some improvement measures.

Machine learning methods are now becoming a popular choice in many computer-aided bio-medical image analysis systems. It reduces the efforts of a medical expert and helps in making correct decisions. One of the main applications of such systems is the early detection of lung cancerous nodules using Computed Tomography (CT) scan images. Here, we have used a new method for automated detection of lung cancerous/non-cancerous nodules. It is a modularity maximization based graph clustering method. The clustering is done based on the different region's grayscale values of the CT scan images. The clustering algorithm is capable of detecting nodules of size as small as 4 pixels in two dimension (2D) or 9 voxels in three dimensional (3D) data. The advantage of nodule detection is that it can be used as an extra feature for many supervised learning algorithms especially for those Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) based architectures where pixel-wise segmentation of data might be required.

Mechanical engineers are often faced with the challenge to keep track of the results of experiments done within their own institutions or other research groups. The lack of this knowledge may cause a potential waste of resources and time since experiments might be repeated if the existence of previous experiments is unknown or the data cannot be reused. The main problem with managing scientific data is the huge amount of experiments, the lack of public access to the results, and often missing meta-data which would be needed to compare the results. This article considers experiments and data resulting from experiments of Stress-Strain and Continuous-Cooling-Transformation experiments. It is shown how a web-driven data management process starting from the planning of experiments through to the evaluation of the measurement data could be supported by an appropriate work-flow to make sure that all meta-data is preserved to find and reuse the results.

With the increasing attention of society to the environmental issues, carbon emission rights have become a new type of resource with certain commercial value, which has changed the production function and cost structure of the original enterprises. In the course of operation, enterprises have increased the consideration of carbon emission rights from the original focus on "raw materials and products (services)". Therefore, based on the carbon and trade mechanism, this paper deeply explores the decision-making of carbon emission reduction of the upstream and downstream enterprises in the supply chain and the choice of government carbon quota allocation scheme under the constraint of government carbon emissions, and uses game theory knowledge to analyze the effect of carbon emission reduction of upstream and downstream enterprises under the non-cooperative game. The results show that the emission reduction effect of the government's carbon quota per unit of product allocation is more obvious than that of the direct total amount restriction, and it is beneficial for sustainability of supply chain systems.

The article proposes a method of optimal design of electrical devices, based on solving conditionally-correct inverse problems. The method is used to design electromagnets of levitation magnetic transport. Permanent magnets are built into the design of electromagnets to increase energy saving. The effectiveness of the method is due to the use of the hierarchy of mathematical models. In the first, second, and third stages, inverse problems are solved analytically, and in the fourth, numerically. Such an approach makes it possible to determine the initial approximations of the desired parameters with sufficiently high accuracy and to reduce the total time to solve the problem. At the fourth stage, the finite element method is used to solve direct problems of calculating the magnetic field and forces, and the gradient descent method is used to solve optimization problems. Reduction of time for solving the problem is achieved by transformation of constraints into objective functions and sequential minimization of these functions over a limited number of variables. An algorithm for solving the inverse problem is given. The results of the computational experiment showed a high efficiency of the method in the design of levitation electromagnets with permanent magnets. The method can be used in the design and other electrical devices.

MANET is well known for its inherent feature of on-demand ad hoc establishment of network. This makes MANET a suitable option for many applications like Disaster management, military applications, etc. But the mutual dependency among the nodes make the MANET vulnerable for many attacks. Researchers had proposed many solutions to make the routing in MANET secure, ITCA is one of the proposed examples which tries to identify malicious activity and isolate infected nodes from network through multiple dimensions. The Improved ITCA proposed in this paper tries to make attack detection system real time and trust calculation adaptive to the application-specific parameters. This will reduce the burden over source node, which has been used by most of ACK-based solution for attack identification and isolation, in turn tries to reduce the number of control packet required that optimize the overhead and make the attack detection and isolation process more simple and faster. The Improved ITCA introduces a lightweight real-time option for secured ACK-based approach, whereas adaptive application-specific trust calculation parameters make the system more robust or work efficiently even when percentage of malicious node in the network is high.

Gesturing is an instinctive form of non-verbal or non-vocal communication in which perceptible bodily actions are used to communicate definite messages in conjunction with or without speech. But, aphonic personnel rely solely on this way of communication. This inhibits them from interacting or communicating freely with other people. This paper deals with a Smart Wearable Speaking aid which translates Indian Sign Language into text and voice in real time based on SVM (Support Vector Machine) Model using Raspberry Pi, Flex Sensors, and Accelerometer. Additionally, LCD is used to display the text corresponding to gestures and equivalent output in the form of voice signal is given to the Bluetooth Speaker. The prototype was designed to identify 5 gestures. During the testing of this device, it was observed that the accuracy of the prototype is 90%.

This paper presents a scalable open source IoT architecture. The proposed sensor network transforms a bicycle into a mobility way that records, stores and displays information acquired from multiple integrated sensors, such as body sensors, bicycle sensors, ambient sensors, and smartphones. The system uses a Raspberry Pi 3 as a storage server and Broker MQTT interconnecting different nodes that collect measurements of bicycle distance/speed, ambient temperature and humidity, measurements of accelerations and angular velocities in the three axes. This architecture is configured as an access point connected through IEEE 802.11 using MQTT as a communication protocol. The information obtained is stored in a database using SQLite and displayed in real time on a smartphone, tablet or computer. Our prototype incorporates changes in the previously proposed architecture by improving the connection of new sensor nodes by modifying the access point and integrating the sensor node of temperature and humidity into the network.

The paper present a multi-party attribute based authenticated key agreement protocol without using bilinear pairing. Attribute based key agreement is needed in verity of applications wherever a fine grained access control is required like design of access control for cloud storage, military applications, broadcast encryption etc. Such applications usually need to establish, a secure session among the participants without knowing their actual identities for subsequent cryptographic (symmetric key) operations. Instead of identities, the participants are authenticates based on a descriptive set of attributes (called as access policy). As per the literature-survey the protocols based on attribute based authentication presented so far requires bilinear pairing computations. Since the implementation of pairing is much costlier than ordinary scalar point multiplication over elliptic curve. Therefore pairing free protocols over attribute-based authentication is much desirable especially in resource constraint network. The present paper employs elliptic curve arithmetic along with Lagrange interpolation instead of bilinear pairing computations. The authentication process of the protocol is information theoretically secure while the confidentiality of the shared key relies on the intractability of Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP).
