It helps to prevent cancer, useful in weight loss and increases the immunity power of human. On the other hand, some mushrooms are toxic and can prove dangerous if we eat them. Therefore, it is a prominent task to differentiate, the edible and poisonous mushrooms. This paper focuses on developing a method for classification of mushroom using its texture feature, which is based on the machine learning approach. The performance of the proposed approach is 76.6% by using SVM classifier, which is found better with respect to the other classifiers like KNN, Logistic Regression, Linear Discriminant, Decision Tree, and Ensemble classifiers.

This paper describes the process of designing and developing robotic technologies as prosthetics for the home space to respond to the needs and advance the quality of life of older adults. The trend demographics report a significant increase of the number of older adults in the next decade in the United States, which would generate the most significant social transformations of the 21st century. Supporting older adult to age in place gracefully is a critical need. Even though there are a number of technologies that have been designed to support older adult, there are still challenges in their implementation and use, especially in products related to enabling communication. This project aims at exploring opportunities to expand the capabilities of existing homes and assist older adults in activities of daily life in their home. The project BUMP portrays a supportive human environment and how to extend older adults' home in other's homes. The significance of this project is to share pragmatic examples on how to better design technologies that are more natural, embedded and embodied communication tool for the older adult population.

At present, Epilepsy detection is a very time consuming process, and it requires constant clinical attention. In order to overcome this challenge, we have designed an epilepsy alert system, which takes the raw EEG signal, to monitor the blood pressure and the accelerometer application for human fall detection. The raw EEG signal is captured using a Brain Computer Interface module. This design is done using MATLAB GUI. The EEG raw signal is trained by using neural networks and a total of 500 epilepsy patient data is fed to train the network. Accuracy varies with different number of epochs. As the number of epochs increases, the accuracy will also be increased. Fuzzy system is designed to detect the epilepsy with three main parameters.

Image classification is one of the most important tasks in computer vision, since it can be used to retrieve, store, organize, and analyze digital images. In recent years, deep learning convolutional neural networks have been successfully used to classify images surpassing previous state of the art performances. Moreover, using transfer learning techniques, very complex models have been successfully utilized for other tasks different from the original task for which they were trained for. Here, the influence of the color representation of the input images was tested when using a transfer learning technique in three different well-known convolutional models. The experimental results showed that color representation in the CIE-L*a*b* color space gave reasonably good results compared to the RGB color format originally used during training. These results support the idea that the features learned can be transferred to new models with images using different color channels such as the CIE-L*a*b* space, and opens up new research questions as to the transferability of image representation in convolutional neural networks.

Aerial robotics is evolving towards the design of bioinspired platforms capable of resembling the behavior of birds and insects during flight. The development of perception algorithms for navigation of ornithopters requires sensor data information to evaluate and solve the limitations presented during the flight of these platforms. However, the payload constraints and hardware complexity of ornithopters hamper the sensor data acquisition. This paper focuses on the development of a multi-sensor simulator to retrieve the sensor information captured during the landing maneuvers of ornithopters. The landing trajectory is computed by using a bioinspired trajectory generator relying on tau theory. Further, a dataset of the sensor information records obtained during the simulation of several landing trajectories is publicly available online.

The concept of a Turing machine has been well defined. It would be sufficient to show that Bitcoin uses a dual-stack architecture that acts as a dual counter machine. Such systems have already been demonstrated as being Turing complete. We demonstrate that Bitcoin script is a minimal family of which lambda lambda and R are members. Further, using the compositional product rule and the iteration rule, we demonstrate that Bitcoin scripting is Turing complete with the limitations imposed on any real-world computer. The limitation is that there cannot be an infinite tape. Iterations can be simulated using an "unrolled" loop function with allocation to the "Alt" stack. As the product rule says, if A, B are machines, then A.B is also a machine. The iteration rule shows that if A is a machine, then (A) is also a machine. Further, the minimum power of A under which the observed square of the final configuration is blank. The consequence of such rules is that for every partial recursive function of in variables we can show that it can be evaluated by a machine of the proposed family.

When evaluating the learning styles of several individuals using the Honey-Alonso test, some users did not understand the meaning of several of the questions. This may be due to problems of context, tiredness in front of the extension of the test, lack of understanding or disinterest. The Honey-Alonso test consists of four groups of twenty questions each. Each group of questions allows identifying the level that an individual possesses on each one of the four learning styles. These styles are: active, reflective, theoretical and pragmatic. Answering a questionnaire of eighty questions is not an easy task from an andragogical point of view. This article proposes the creation of an educational video game designed with a script based on the questions of the Honey-Alonso test. The answers selected by the player are taken as a condition to determine the order of the next questions presented to the player.

There are several applications of facial recognition in terms of assistance, guidance, security and so on. We can greatly reduce the processing time by executing the facial recognition application on cloud, and clients will not have to store the big data for the image verification on their local machine (mobile phones, pc's etc.). Comparing to the cost of acquiring an equally strong server machine, cloud computing increases the storage and processing power with very less cost. In this research plan is to enhance the user experience of augmented display on android based wearable devices, and for doing that, this system is being proposed in which a person wearing Android based smart glasses will send an image of an object to Hadoop (open-source software for scalable, reliable, distributed computing) powered cloud server. Facial Recognition Application on cloud server will recognize the face from already present database on server and then respond results to Android Based Wearable client devices. Then android based wearable smart devices will display the detail result in form of augmented display to the person wearing them. By transferring the process of facial recognition and having the database on cloud server, multiple clients no longer need to maintain their local databases and the device will require less processing power which results in reduction of cost and processing time.

The application of computational linguistics in parsing and translation helps bilingual system construct the special knowledge database used to revise and post-edit the strings. It is concluded that with the help of advanced bilingual dictionaries and domain-specific corpora, system can effectively analyze the lexical information and thematic relationship, parse the syntactic structure and translate the original sentence to the target one.
