The high impact of traffic accidents makes it imperative to formulate public policies to reduce their occurrence. In this task, knowing the cause of accidents is of paramount importance. The use of data mining and big data adapts to the complexity of the phenomenon under study. In order to classify some possible causes of traffic accidents, we built a data model to describe the behavior and dynamic of the participant agents in the traffic accident event in Colombia. This paper presents the application of MLP and Naive Bayes algorithms to identify the possible immediate cause and the rules decision algorithm PART for the root cause of traffic accidents. Models have been tested aiming to obtain the goodness of fit by increasing metrics like Recall, Precision, ROC and Kappa index, and minimize the RMSE.

The objective of this research is to discuss the state-of-the-art with regard to the influence of COVID-19 in retail, especially in the light of the economic, social and health perspectives. To do so, we carried out a systematic literature review, a technique that allows an efficient description of the literature and that made it possible to provide a holistic perspective of the phenomenon trough the interpretation of relevant published articles. The results showed the sector had to find new measures to mitigate the effects of corona virus, ranging from social and physical distance, protection and hygiene measures, adjustments in distribution and communication channels, to the transmission of a clearer messages by retailers. In addition, the digital transformation phenomenon has also been enhanced by this crisis, by using measures aimed at reducing the spread of the corona virus, such as the use of several digital payment systems and new distribution methods to respond to the new sales and delivery rules. This article reinforces the importance of these measures for a new model of action in the retail sector, in order to respond to the market needs.

Convergent approach means development of input sort testing system for educators to estimate lacking competencies and pedagogical deficiency in order to design individual educational path for every learner depending on the requirements. Testing system gives recommended models of individual educational programs. 7 professional development programs are suggested for educators. Each program consists of core course modules and a wide range of elective course modules. Graduation thesis of an educator is a project on the program topic that comes up with a solution of his own educational institution challenge or problem.

The authors propose to study an innovative approach to talent management based on the need for change that organizations are facing due to a disruptive environment brought on by the fourth industrial revolution: the digital revolution. Its nature and impact on society, on management systems, and on business organizations are described as the stage where a significant change movement is happening to an extent and intensity never seen before. To deal with this, the authors elaborate on the need for increased agility and flexibility as determinant factors for the competitiveness of organizations and businesses. In that sense, a new approach to talent management is proposed based on an innovative concept of talent - which is democratic. By describing the key elements of this innovative concept, a new approach to human resource management is also described, arguing for the need of moving towards disruption in traditional policies, processes, and practices. Five interviewees approached during the Covid-19 pandemic, in late 2020, share their views herein on their talents and of digital disruption and opportunity.

Human cognition is guided and shaped by the physical manifestation of objects around us- acting and thinking are intertwined. By integrating digital interactions to the physical world, we improve the potential to perceive and understand objects, spaces and notions and we facilitate the creation of mental representations since these are directly influenced by the way we bodily interact with objects. The integration of educational robotics, mixed reality and tangible interfaces provides us with a fertile ground on which to develop new learning scenarios. Astronomical phenomena, from the simplest to the most obscure include difficult to grasp concepts for which learners usually develop strong misconceptions. In this paper, we propose the use of educational robotics as a tangible simulation tool of the Earth's movements, in a mixed reality space for learning the day/night cycle. In order to evaluate the proposed environment, a pilot study was conducted with sixteen elementary students. Data were collected through pre/post tests, an attitudes questionnaire and semi-formal group interviews. Students' answers indicated that they were excited with and impressed by the proposed intervention while the gained invaluable knowledge about the day/night cycle.

Sentiment analysis on social networks plays a prominent role in many applications. The key techniques here are how to identify opinions, to classify sentiment polarity, and to infer emotions. In this study, we proposed a sentence-level sentiment analysis based on a microblogging platform like Twitter. Comprehensive evaluation results on real-world scenarios such as the FIFA World Cup 2018, and the Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2018 demonstrate a correlation between the polarity (negative or positive) and fan's sentiments. In addition, the evaluation of several machine learning techniques;applied to identify the polarity and related emotions, revealed that the SVM outperforms other models such as Naive Bayes, ANN, kNN, and Logistic Regression. Additional studies should be addressed to evaluate the proposed system on different sport events, and scenarios.

In the last year, schools, universities, teachers, and students had to adapt to distance learning because of the pandemic situation. The e-learning situation is very different from a face-to-face situation. One of the problems of the e-learning is that the students should be more responsible to not distracted. Another problem is that the type of computer for each student varies significantly. Finally, the traditional interaction between teacher, student and content is made more complicated by introducing technology. When new tools are applied, and there is an improvement in e-learning education, student, teacher, and educational institutions benefit from it. Emotion plays an essential role in the knowledge, acquisition, and decision process of an individual. There is also significant evidence that rational learning in humans is dependent on emotions. In this paper, we presented a solution with an intelligent Tutor Application, that analyzed emotions in a non-intrusive and non-invasive way.

As life expectancy is growing all around the world, a critical issue for many governments is how to deliver good health assistance to a great amount of elderly people, without affecting their daily life. Due to the COVID Pandemia, this problem becomes more urgent, and many new solutions are required for helping them. In this context, Home Care systems (HCS) can proactively help people in preventing problems, e.g., supporting them in critical situations, such as loss of consciousness or physical disabilities. HCSs consist of services for healthcares and relatives, in a trustful and friendly way, combining both software and hardware technologies. They also should provide a valid approach that reduces the probability of false-positive or false-negative alarms. In this work, we propose drivers that should be taken for the designing of such a system. For that reason, we design an architecture that combines both computer vision algorithms and signal analysis, in order to detect home accidents and abnormal situations. One of the main issues is that integrated sensors should be easily handled and maintained, so we carry out a usability and technological study, detecting which features are necessary for these kinds of solutions.

Although the prospects of engineering higher education have stayed in focus of a public debate for a number of years, this matter remains relevant for the modern society. Our research zooms in on identification of professionally relevant personality straits of current engineering students. The basic assumption underlying out research is the understanding that much depends on students' readiness, willingness, motivation, and personal qualities. Therefore, an analysis of personality traits which are conducive to solving effectively professional challenges should be rather useful. Another important topic is development of such personality traits as a result of higher education in the process of following university courses.

This paper aims to develop a framework for sustainability in SMEs. SMEs are most vulnerable to the effects of covid-19. The implementation of social distancing makes people limit activities outside their home, consequently sales turnover decreases. Therefore, SMEs need to change the mindset in running business by using technology transformation. It is believed to continue the sustainability of SMEs. However, some SMEs do not have knowledge about digital skills that are relevant to their business. In fact, during covid-19 condition, online business can result sustainability in their business that can take place now and in the future.
