This paper deals with studying the innovative trends in forming the mechanism of public-private partnership (PPP) in education in the Russian Federation, considering global trends. We identified the special aspects of using PPP as a tool in educational activities under certain conditions. We considered various approaches to developing the PPP models and illustrated the relevant mechanism involving a public corporation and an engineering university. Viable models were proposed for the interrelations of businesses, authorities, and educational institutions beyond the known schemes;we also justified their feasibility and showed how PPP activities affect forming the contents of engineering education, enhancing its quality, increasing the qualifications of academic staff, activating academic mobility, and developing international contacts and interuniversity relations. The authors are proving the necessity of involving the authorities in PPP to support the educational institutions of additional professional education (APE) and solving the strategical problems of developing the real-sector enterprises. We analyzed the key aspects of PPP in education, exemplified by a specific university. The findings can be widely used to perform applied studies on the relevant topics, while the models developed can be further reproduced.

This work is a portrait of online education provided to students during the pandemic of COVID-19 in Brazil. This aims to analyze the beginning of the change from presential classes to online classes. This work was completed in the first week of June, which according to the resources of epidemiology is before the peak of contamination. The educational year in Brazil starts between the end of February and the beginning of March, and presential classes were interrupted in the middle of March. With this situation, there was no time to plan how to develop the online classes and this should be solved while the online classes are developed. This work presents a survey answered only by teachers and professors that are teaching in online classes in Brazil. This research aims to highlight the difficulties, reality, and challenges faced by these education professionals, in a country with so many social differences.

The article covers the phenomenon of the positive impact of the WorldSkills championship movement on improving the training of engineers at universities. Technologies of training young professionals developed in the WorldSkills championship movement have been effectively applied in universities in the last years. This applies to improve the content of educational programs and curricula. WorldSkills movement allows future engineers to improve their professional skills in working professions related to the future profession of engineer. The training base and training ground for students are being improved, direct contacts with different companies and representatives from the government are being formed during competitions. Experts claim that approximately every country in the world will encounter a lack of personnel in key sectors of the economy by 2025. We observe a rapid shift to the digital economy and see how new competencies are emerging and existing ones are developing. In 2020 the situation with coronavirus confirms the relevance of a rapid shift to the digital economy and improvement of existing competencies. Therefore, WorldSkills movement plays an important role in these processes. The consequences of existing trends in the development of the global economy are job cuts, the appearance of new people, and retraining staff to the digital economy and destruction of the usual mechanisms "guarantees of the future" (career guidance, long-term employment, and decent pension). These statements were cleared up with the support of Young professionals [1]. On the other hand, there is a declining interest in engineering professions all over the world. Nowadays only a small percentage of young people choose technical specialties and engineering education. Therefore, one of the most important problems is the awakening of young people's interest in engineering specialties from school days and while studying in colleges [2]. The current study facilitates an evidence-based discussion on teaching during the period of an abrupt shift to virtual classrooms caused by coronavirus spread. There has been a massive investment to bring technology to universities;however, there are some significant gaps that must be addressed. The first is the availability of university online platforms and the second is the digitalization of the curriculum combined with teachers' confusion and anxiety around the ability to adjust to the new digital environment. The study is aimed to research the current situation at two Russian universities: RUDN (People's Friendship University of Russia) and PNRPU (Perm National Research Polytechnic University) and describe what changes have been implemented into teaching by the university administration and professors. The research questions include two groups: 1) Learning management system (LMS): Did the university offer a teaching platform to be used by all teachers? Or was it an individual choice of every teacher? 2) Curriculum: Did teachers have to modify the content of their course? In what way? Our study contributes several meaningful findings regarding understanding the advantages, disadvantages, and challenges in changing the education landscape.

This research aim was to analyze problems, which educational systems are facing in the global upheaval era, statement of tasks, which must be solved, as well as search for solutions. The engineering education system has been improved in recent years through the use of new features, which are provided by e-learning software. Future engineers will require such skills as creative thinking, ability to make informed, effective decisions, as well as social responsibility and eco-thinking. The research was carried out on the tools used to organize online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in several universities. It gave a possibility to compare the effectiveness of using different virtual environments to organize the training of different profiles' engineers, as well as to analyze the educational content and its difference from that used in traditional classroom teaching. To make a correct assessment, evaluation criteria were identified, which can be formalized, and also motivational characteristics were classified, which can be influenced on the quality improvement. For a case study, different student's groups were selected to compare them involvement in the process with traditional and online training forms as well as their performance. Additionally, was done an analysis how a training form impacts on their projects quality.

Wireless ad-hoc networks are getting more important in various applications like V2V (vehicle-to -vehicle) networks and opportunistic networks. Here, it is critical to reduce the electric energy consumption of nodes in networks. Each node consumes more energy to perform software processes to send and receive messages than the wireless communication devices. The farther node p3 sends a message to a node p, the higher probability the node p, loses the message due to noise. Then, the node p3 retransmits the lost message to the node A. This means, the more number of times the node p transmits a message, the more energy the node p, consumes. The energy to be consumed by a node more depends on the number of transmissions of each message than the strength of radio emission. We have to decrease the number of transmissions of a message of each node in order to reduce the energy consumption of the node. In this paper, we first define a model to give the energy to be consumed by each node to deliver a message to another node. Then, we propose a pair of an EEU (EnergyEfficient Unicast) protocol and an RU (Reliable Unicast) protocol to find an energy-efficient route from a source node to a destination node. In the evaluation, we show the energy consumption and delivery probability of nodes can be improved in the proposed EEU and RU protocols.

This research documents our investigation of alternative forms of written instructions for robotics education. Currently, instructions that accompany educational robotics kits often provide students with step-by-step directions leading them to one "correct" solution. This research explores alternative forms of written instructions called placemat instructions. Placemat instructions are a one-page (double-sided) representation of an open-ended robotics challenge. They give students a few images of example builds and some code snippets to get them started, but they do not provide step-by-step instructions or dictate the creation of a single solution. The goal of this study is to investigate what type of learning experiences unfold when placemat instructions are used to facilitate open-ended robotics challenges inK-12 classrooms, and howthese learning experiences differ from those when no placemat instructions are used. We analyzed classroom video data to look for ways students did or did not use the placemats, where students became stuck or required the assistance of a peer or instructor, and the time it took each group to reach an initial testable prototype. Based on these data, we found that the use of placemat instructions to support open-ended robotics challenges in an 8th grade science classroom was successful in: (1) helping students quickly and easily get started with open-ended design challenges, (2) supporting students and teachers when questions arose during the activity, and (3) inspiring a diverse set of student-generated solutions to a problem.

With the propagation of digitalization in engineering education, tools like Augmented Reality are increasingly focused by educators. However, creating content to use in education is a time-consuming task that requires a basic understanding of 3D modeling and programming. To solve those issues the authors developed an Augmented Reality Content Management System for use in laboratory experiments. In this paper the authors describe and discuss a conducted usability study for the developed system. Students from different fields used the system to conduct a previously unknown experiment. Afterwards, a questionnaire based on the NASA Task Load Index was filled out to judge not only the perceived stress level but also the usability and usefulness of the system so that future development efforts can be based on the results.

This study aimed to obtain a thoughtful understanding of contemporary zakat from young adults in Indonesia. This study also tried to solve the problems of zakat collection in Indonesia by using digital technology. This study used quantitative analysis through questionnaire for 113 Muslim young adults in Indonesia. The results proved that digitization in form of digital platform can increase the trust of society toward zakat management organization. In addition, it increased zakat donation through digital transaction. The results also indicated that digital platform can be the medium to increase social financial literacy and inclusion;it is because Muslim young adults have the understanding of contemporary zakat, and they know about the digital platform of zakat management organization. As the result, it can increase zakat payment behaviour.

The purpose of this publication is to present the subject of measurement of the brain wave signals and possibilities of communication through such waves. On the basis of the knowledge acquired until present, a system has been created, the purpose of which is to facilitate communication of the people affected with paralysis with the outside world and signalise their needs and emotions to their caregivers and families. The publication describes the modern devices as well as IT technologies used in this system. The system was created bearing in mind mainly Polish patients hence the commands are in the Polish language. The English version is in the process of preparation.
