The project management practice by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is an urgent demand and a clear concern of European countries for economic reasons in recent years. One major problem in traditional management practices is the focus on efficiency rather than innovation and control rather than empowerment. Several authors mention the existence of a "gap" between the theory and the actual use of project management by SMEs that increasingly require government support. This paper aims to analyze the economic scenario in the context of Portuguese and Danish SMEs that promotes innovation and project management practice through literature review and economic reports. The measures and initiatives adopted to minimize the factors that hinder the realization of businesses highlight the efforts of each country to encourage organizations to adapt to a dynamic and competitive context. The perspective is that the economic scenario presented points favorable aspects for SMEs and serve as parameters for future work and development of management practices appropriate to the size and maturity of SME organizations. Furthermore, the paper strengths the role of SMEs in innovation and the importance of using project management practices.

Higher education institutions will remain gatekeepers of opportunity if industry, governments, and students value their existing credentials. Keeping up with technological changes and new learning models may contribute to making learning environments more effective and desirable. With appropriate learning models like computer-based learning, contact time can be changed from absorbing information to situations where students inquire, think and challenge their lecturers and each other. A blockchain is a digital ledger of economic and financial transactions but is not limited to these kinds of transactions as it can record 'virtually everything of value'. Blockchain is a disruptive technology that will influence our daily lives and organizations such as education, business, and governance. The focus of this study was on a model, called LinkLearn, that implements blockchain principals and used as a learning tool. The research question formulated for this research was whether LinkLearn can be used as a learning tool. A qualitative research process was followed, and lecturers were interviewed to obtain their views about LinkLearn in education. The outcomes of this study show that lecturers are positive about LinkLearn as a learning tool. The results of this study are important as it shows that the LinkLearn model has the potential to transform the way students are engaged, motivated and evaluated.

This paper presents the design of a learning analytics dashboard, utilizing learning traces that emerge from conversational MOOC activities. These chat-based activities encourage students to collaborate in dyads, with the support of a conversational agent, in order to answer open-ended questions, set by the course instructor. Taking into account the dynamic and context-sensitive nature of the agent-based support provided during this kind of online activities, we aspire to share a series of variables, metrics and use cases, which can be valuable for practitioners and researchers looking forward to initiate the development of a learning analytics dashboard that encompasses aspects of both peer-to-peer and human-to-bot conversational interactions.

During the aging process, the elderly can experience a progressive and definitive deterioration in their gait, especially when they have neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. Effective treatment requires accurately assessing these issues in mechanical stability, the muscular-skeletal system, and postural reflexes. For Alzheimer patients in particular, gait analysis represents an important method for determining stability and treatment, which is the key objective of this investigation. Thus, this article describes the creation of a dataset on the walking gait, focusing on the distance covered by the patients and the angle of their legs as registered by a Kinect device. All patients were examined at a recognized center for elderly care in the canton of Ambato, Ecuador. We worked with a population of 30 Alzheimer patients whose ages ranged between 75 and 89 years old. The retrieved numerical data were processed with Diffused Logic, which, when based on a series of rules, can determine the instability and stability of a patient with a neurological illness. As a result, it was possible to create a dataset that included numerical values of the walking distance for each patient. This information will be important to future health care research, especially for physiotherapists and pose estimation.

The purpose of this study is to show some experiences in the methodological development of Software Engineering professors at the University of Informatics Sciences by designing a set of group-work methodological and didactic actions, so that professors encourage their students to develop team work and collaborative learning with the help of ICT. The research methods employed were: analysis and synthesis, the systemic approach, the documentary analysis, interviews and scientific observations. A methodological procedure was developed based on the diagnostic analysis of the subject, taking into account the deficiencies from the previous course included in the reports. In this sense the development of teamwork and collaborative learning, using the means offered by ICT was included as a leading objective of the methodological work for the subject. The proposal was validated from the results gathered in the group interviews to professors who applied the set of actions, class observation guides, and the collaborative work developed in the virtual learning environment, as well as interviews to students to know their opinions about their professors performance. The design, development, and control of the actions integrating the methodological work contributed to the fulfillment of the research objective.

The article notes the importance of studying the interconnection of professional competency and integration processes in higher education for their subsequent use in the development of competitive higher education. The research objective is to identify the key competences of University scientific and pedagogical staff as an integral part of professional competency influenced by internationalization and integration of Russian universities into the global educational area. To rich this objective the authors put forward the principle of convergence. In the process of convergence, all ideas and concepts are aligned, penetrate each other, diffuse thus enriching each other. The authors also highlight the difference between "competence" and "competency" and define teacher professional competency is a result of acquisition or developing a set of competences getting through experience in various fields including professional area. Teacher professional competency is a part of teacher professional excellence. The foundation for teacher professional excellence is provided by the hierarchical structure of the individual which has three levels. Teacher professional competency correlates with the second level of the hierarchical structure of a person which in its turn consists of: 1. individual knowledge, 2. skills (competences), 3. acquired skills, 4. habits. The authors define four levels of individual knowledge development and classify skills by orientation, by levels of organization of activities and by levels of acquisition. International Journal of Computers Communications & Control (IJCCC) is an open access peer-reviewed journal publishing original research papers and it is considered by professionals, academics and researches as one of the main sources of knowledge in the integrated solutions in computer-based control and communications, computational intelligence methods and soft computing, and advanced decision support systems fields. With this in mind, this research conducts a bibliometric performance and intellectual structure analysis of the IJCCC from 2015 to 2019. It provides a framework to support computer, communication and control researchers and professionals in the development and direction of future researches identifying core, transversal, emerging and declining themes. For this purpose, the IJCCC's intellectual structure and thematic networks are analyzed according to the data retrieved fromWeb of Science Core Collection, putting the focus on the main research themes and its performance. Finally, this analysis has been developed using SciMAT, an open source (GPLv3) bibliometric software tool developed to perform a science mapping analysis under a longitudinal framework.

In this paper a method for optimal location of multi-hubs in a complex network with a large number of nodes is presented. The method is applied to the design of a logistics network composed of many tailings dams and mineral processing plants and combines two data mining techniques, K-Medoids and k-Means, with the multi-criteria decision making model PROMETHEE for the prioritization of nodes to be included into the clusters, based on certain technical and economic decision variables (such as the content of recoverable metals and the costs of transportation). The proposed method contributes to solve a large scale mathematical problem difficult to handle due to the number of variables and criteria. A case study for the recovery of abandoned deposits of mining waste is presented. The case study demonstrates the feasibility and usefulness of the proposed solution and lays the groundwork for further research and other applications of machine learning techniques for big data in support of sustainable production and a circular economy.

The paper deals with the multidimensional scaling (MDS) that depends on the class of nonlinear projection methods for a visual representation of multidimensional data. The performance of a new MDS-type method for multidimensional data dimensionality reduction and visualization (Geometric MDS) has been investigated visually using GeoGebra. Dynamic geometry program GeoGebra is a non-commercial and interactive software for the visual representation of algebra and geometry. We made specific GeoGebra scripts for the visual representation of the convergence process of Geometric MDS. This allows us to analyze the optimization of the stress function visually, describing the visualization quality and find the basins of attraction to the local minima. The results allow an easier comprehension of the MDS stress optimization by the anti-gradient search. Moreover, the results deepen the understanding of Geometric MDS, in general.

Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) content means "the practices, representations, expressions, knowledge, skills - as well as the instruments, objects, artifacts and cultural spaces associated therewith". Although ICH content, especially traditional folklore performing arts, is commonly considered worthy of preservation by UNESCO and the EU Treaty, most of the current research efforts are on the focus is on tangible cultural assets. The aim of Terpsichore project is to, analyze, design, research, train, implement and validate an innovative framework for affordable digitization, modelling, archiving, e-preservation and presentation of ICH content related to folk dances, in a wide range of users. The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki was involved in the performance of Greek traditional dances and the three-dimensional capturing and editing. The three-dimensional recordings were held at the Laboratory of "Motor Behaviour and Adapted Physical Activity". For data capturing we used the Vicon 3D recording system. Two Greek traditional dances from different regions of Greece were performed and captured. The results of the threedimensional capturing of movement showed that the assessment of left toe trajectories through markers gives us the ability to identify the differences between two types of the Greek traditional dance "Syrtos", "Syrtos Makedonikos" and "Syrtos Kalamatianos". The findings of this work add a new approach to improve Greek traditional dances identification through 3D motion kinematic data analysis. They represent optical and mathematical representation of the rhythm of Greek traditional dances which could be used for the purposes of Terpsichore project.
