As 5G networks have been systematically promulgated, the learning community is positively disposed for enhanced acquisition of skills and knowledge over rich media interconnections. Even further, Interactive Educational TV broadcasts, sporadically coming into sight, give the impression that the official appearance of advanced machinery and equipment is bound to unobtrusively make its entry into the learning society whereabouts. A preamble of this virtual vicinity already is sensed within some University environments, spreading prospects of euphoria. However, it is not clear if this transition will be smooth, or, as some indications expose, disorderly, leading to deregulation.

STEAM is a serious game developed as a medium for helping teachers to experience multimodality for teaching and learning. A design-based paradigm is adopted to elucidate how in-game design elements coupled with learning may visualize in-game multimodal representations. Multimodality is experienced as a process of creating meaning though connecting and combining different modes, semiotic resources and semiotic ensembles. In this paper, we present the design and usability evaluation of the game. The usability study was conducted with (n = 32) school teachers completing an online survey after playtesting the game for identifying, capturing and fine-tuning in-game usability aspects. The findings indicated that the game's core mechanics, the in-game dialogues and card-game, represent and visualise the content and process of multimodal in-game ensembles whilst the development of in-game feedback and progress indicators was perceived as having the capacity to guide understandings on in-game multimodality and to track in-game progress.

This study reveals common factors among highly cited papers in the computer sciences. The 500 most cited papers in the computer sciences published between January 2013 and December 2017 were downloaded from the Web of Science (WoS). Data on the number of citations, number of authors, article length and subject sub-discipline were extracted and analyzed in order to identify trends, relationships and common features. Correlations between common factors were analyzed. The 500 papers were cited a total of 10,926 times: the average number of citations per paper was 21.82 citations. A correlation was found between author credibility (defined in terms of the QS University Ranking of the first named author's affiliation) and the number of citations. Authors from universities ranked 350 or higher were more cited than those from lower ranked universities. Relationships were also found between journal ranking and both the number of authors and the article length. Higher ranked journals tend to have a greater number of authors, but were of shorter length. The article length was also found to be correlated with the number of authors and the QS Subject Ranking of the first author's affiliation. The proportion of articles in higher ranked journals (journal quartile), the length of articles and the number of citations per page were all found to correlate to the sub-discipline area (Information systems;Software Engineering;Artificial Intelligence;Interdisciplinary Applications;and Theory and Methods).

There has never been such a rich offer in terms of ERP solutions that customers can choose from because the problem of knowledge has never been emphasized in the past. An ERP system in line with the company's business is metamorphosed into a knowledge management tool that improves information transfer and generates "knowledge". On the other hand, major decisions are rarely simple, and the best alternative can befall only after careful deliberation. In the present research we endeavor to provide a model of multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) in the selection of ERP applications. We illustrate and apply a MCDM technique, namely analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to assist SMEs to select the most appropriate ERP. We formulate an AHP decision model and apply it to a hypothetical case study to demonstrate the feasibility of the choice to select the most appropriate ERP software for a specific SME. We believe that our work could become a didactic source of inspiration for teaching decision making techniques to young people and students. The application of the proposed model indicates that it can be applied to improve decision-making processes and condense the time interval needed for ERP selection. Our model can be considered good practice and identified with the know-what and know-who component of a KM model.

Managers need to make informed choices about what to buy in order to meet priority needs and to avoid wasting limited resources. The procurement decision is a very difficult task since there exists a great variety of brands, vendors and equipment performances. In the present paper, we have developed a decision process for equipment procurement in which are used, in combination, a Multi-Criteria subjective weighting method SWARA (Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis) for equipment evaluation weights, an adaptation of SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) for equipment performance and a new Multi-Objective optimization model for equipment procurement. TheMulti-Objective model considers several types of equipment, their costs and their performances. The model aims to be an aiding in the decision process of equipment procurement. Managers of health care systems need to find in their choices a compromise between the cost of procurement, brands' reputation, vendors' reputation and equipment performance. A numerical example for medical equipment procurement, based on sensors, is studied.

This paper describes the design and development process of a game-based training approach to entrepreneurship education. The game serves as part of a broader online training course which seeks to facilitate awareness of and engagement with dual-career development amongst amateur and professional athletes. Building on previously reported work around needs identification through focus groups and participatory design, this paper documents the processes and frameworks adopted to translate these concepts into a tangible game-based learning environment. In doing so, we reflect on the current state-of-the art in game-based learning design and its implications when considering the pragmatic constraints and compromises often associated with the development of immersive learning experiences. A core theme of this paper is the seeming divergence between entertainment game development principles, and those of serious games, which are identified and explored in this paper as principally occurring in terms of objectives, stakeholders, scaling, and iteration. Our discussion focuses on the consequences of this divergence, and common problems that arise. Conclusions and future work provide suggestions towards refining existing serious game design frameworks towards pragmatic and efficient development methods.

Chatbots are informatics applications that use Artificial Intelligence and natural language interfaces to simulate interactions with the end-user, providing a pleasant user experience. Generally, chatbots are related to customer service, trying either to answer the frequently asked questions that do not need direct human interaction or to generate leads to the after-client follow-up and contact. Chatbots represent a potential change in the way that people interact with information and online services. This article addresses the creation of a chatbot capable of generating insights for a manager on the decision-making process and the advantages that it represents. In order to create the referred chatbot, it is crucial to deal with multiple API's interconnected, external services, and numerous databases from the organizations, always focused on the improvement of the business process like the time optimization and the quality of the information retrieved, and the user experience related to them. Further system analysis shows a time saving of approximately 60% compared to the traditional way to access the information.

SMEs give big contribution to labor and state budget (APBN), but on the other hand, SMEs face major obstacles in accessing external funding. This is because their low understanding of various aspects in finance. This research aims to examine the effect of external funding on business growth and financial literacy as moderating variable. The research samples are SMEs in Central Java Indonesia and it will be analyzed by using Smart-PLS statistics in order to answer the research hypotheses.

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are low-cost and have easy maintenance. However, WMNs have some problems such as node placement problem, security, transmission power and so on. In this work, we deal with node placement problem. In our previous work, we implemented a hybrid simulation system based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Hill Climbing (HC) called WMN-PSOHC for solving the node placement problem in WMNs. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of WMN-PSOHC by comparing different mesh router replacement methods: Linearly Decreasing Inertia Weight Method (LDIWM) and Linearly Decreasing Vmax Method (LDVM). Simulation results show that a better performance is achieved for LDIWM compared with LDVM.

Stress is one of the most common factors of everyday life. There is a plethora of different measures used to determine the physiological responses to stress. One of the most commonly used is the electroencephalogram (EEG). Power of various frequency bands in the EEG is often correlated with mental states of the measured subject. Particularly, decrease in the alpha band and increase in the beta range is related to the stressed, active state. In this research, a methodology to compare this common measures to the approach based on the instantaneous frequency's slope (ifs) was proposed. Generally, proposed methodology is as follows. Subject, while listening to quiet rain noise, is focused on solving very easy math problems (incrementing or decrementing one-digit numbers). Suddenly, loud one-second white noise is played in the earphones of a subject. This is treated as a stressor. For the time of the study, a 14-channel EEG monitor is measuring activity of the brain. Obtained preliminary results, based on five participants, indicated that the ifs can be more statistically significant than common approaches in measuring the dynamics of the stress response.
