The interaction between scientific knowledge and the repertoire of university teachers on laboratory didactic is essential for the learnings process of engineering students. Better teaching and learning methods, and resources that motivate and produce active processes of learning at the students and, at the same time, develop competencies and skills are the key components. The work at the School of Electrical Engineering of Universidad de Talca has tried to take these precepts and is specifically aimed to strengthen the work in laboratories in the area electrical energy conversion such as renewable energy integration and machine drives. The general goal of this paper is to present a proposal on laboratory didactic at an electrical engineering program at Universidad de Talca. The design of a teaching-learning strategy for laboratory activities in the area of electrical energy conversion will be discussed. Specifically, the authors of this paper will describe: (1) the scientific arguments that support the decision for designing laboratory activities based on the precepts and characteristics of the modern laboratory didactics, (2) present and describe the design of a teaching-learning strategy for laboratory activities of courses in the area of electrical energy conversion, and (3) a description of laboratory resources with expected results of the teaching-learning strategy.

Software Defined Network is one of the key enabling technologies for the upcoming 5G networks. Both the fronthaul and the backhaul of the network must be reconfigurable for SDN to work properly. Phased Array Antennas could add to the backhaul/fronthaul wireless equipment beamsteering capabilities to make it reconfigurable. This paper summarizes feasibility considerations resulting from the desire of replacing the current reflector antenna with phased arrays in the backhaul segment. Energy consumption and compliance with regulatory radiation masks are analyzed and found to represent challenging requirements. Several techniques are also identified as possible solutions to comply with such stringent demands and future research steps are described.

The work presents the results of research carried out within the international project "Engineering educators pedagogical training" (hereinafter referred to as ENTER), co-financed by the Erasmus + European Union programme. There are questionnaires developed for research. The purpose of the survey is to identify ways to modernize the training system for engineering educators. 408 people took part in the survey: teachers of universities (63%), colleges and other educational institutions (23%), employees of state enterprises and corporations (5%), commercial/joint-stock enterprises (9%). An analysis of the results of the questionnaire showed that in the preparation of engineering educators in Kazakhstan, forms of organization of education through electronic education platforms are poorly used (8% of the proposed programs in questionnaire organizations), online courses and mixed-type programs (2% of proposed programs in questionnaire organizations). Not enough attention is paid to forms of networking. Based on the analysis of the requirements of the Kazakhstan labor market for engineering educators, the necessary professional competencies for them are determined. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it was concluded that educational programs should be modernized taking into account regional needs, requirements for key competencies of engineering teachers by employers, and assessment of students' career expectations. For this purpose, constant monitoring of popular and promising areas of training, improvement of forms and methods of training is required. Educational programs and forms of upgrading qualifications should be focused on using the professional context in the educational process, forecasting and creating conditions for the professional development of teachers, providing them with the right to choose a methodological service and the possibility of implementing an individual educational route [1].

This paper proposes an efficient content allocation over a Peer-to-Peer network in advance, before issuing of content retrieval requests from the users, according to the users' location and whose content preferences. We assume that the signification or characteristic of a content can be represented by a multidimensional vector, and define the vector of the content that a user prefers as the user's preference. Then, we propose a method of pre-arranging replicas of contents with characteristics close to the users' preference in the neighborhood of the users on the network. As a result, it can be expected that the time required for optimizing the redundant replica deployment will be shortened, and the cost for content search and acquisition will be minimized as a whole. In addition, the proposed method is evaluated by a simple computer simulations, and from that results, the potential effectiveness of the method is discussed.

This paper describes the workshop concept Robotikum which was designed as an adaptive learning scenario at the Philipps-University Marburg (Germany). The workshop uses humanoid robots (model: NAO) to develop the computational thinking of students (middle and high school level) with no prior programing knowledge. In this specifically developed workshop concept, robots are used as teaching tools, including appropriate applications and teaching scenarios. The genesis of the Robotikum will be described as well as the structural design and experience from several implementation instances. Furthermore, future developments will be outlined such as an adaption for teachers' education as well as an expansion of the concept. The Robotikum is part of a research project called RoboPraX which is financed by the German federal ministry of education and research (BMBF). Students' responses to the new teaching tool Robotikum are evaluated through observation and qualitative questionnaires as well as competency tests and interviews of educational stakeholders. The overall objective of the project is to develop guidelines for educational institutions to enable them to use the developments in digitization and robotics to further their educational goals.

The current state of the domestic consumer goods market in Ukraine and its main development trends indicate a rather serious threat to the economic and food security of Ukraine. The paper aims to evaluate the development of the domestic market in Ukraine and define the factors of its regulation impact. Methodologically, the paper is based on the use of systemic, analytical, statistical, dialectical, and mathematical methods. The dynamic processes of domestic market development in Ukraine are determined by the calculation of the integral parameter based on the Index provided by the Global Competitiveness Report. The capacity of domestic producers of food is analyzed, and the place of Ukraine in supplying these goods to the EU Member States is determined.

Teachers and educators are always trying to find new ways to use the available technology around them to impart knowledge to their students. This includes exposing them to activities that engage them in learning through innovative ways. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that is starting to affect the conventional learning process since it has many potential uses and capabilities to introduce new ways and methods. AR technology may make classes more engaging and information more easily conceivable. Nowadays most young people own smartphones and use them in order to access social platforms, play games and connect with friends and their family. Thus, the combination of smartphones and AR for education is promising and still has to be fully discovered. This study aims to categorize the plethora of platforms available for building mobile AR applications and experiences, based on their distinct features and the capabilities that they provide. The findings of this study will assist teachers, educators and developers in choosing the appropriate platform to use when building educational mobile AR applications.

This study aims to present a very recent literature review on customer churn prediction based on 40 relevant articles published between 2010 and June 2020. For searching the literature, the 40 most relevant articles according to Google Scholar ranking were selected and collected. Then, each of the articles were scrutinized according to six main dimensions: Reference;Areas of Research;MainGoal;Dataset;Techniques;outcomes. The research has proven that the most widely used data mining techniques are decision tree (DT), support vectormachines (SVM) and Logistic Regression (LR). The process combined with the massive data accumulation in the telecom industry and the increasingly mature data mining technology motivates the development and application of customer churn model to predict the customer behavior. Therefore, the telecom company can effectively predict the churn of customers, and then avoid customer churn by taking measures such as reducing monthly fixed fees. The present literature review offers recent insights on customer churn prediction scientific literature, revealing research gaps, providing evidences on current trends and helping to understand how to develop accurate and efficient Marketing strategies. The most important finding is that artificial intelligence techniques are are obviously becoming more used in recent years for telecom customer churn prediction. Especially, artificial NN are outstandingly recognized as a competent prediction method. This is a relevant topic for journals related to other social sciences, such as Banking, and also telecom data make up an outstanding source for developing novel prediction modeling techniques. Thus, this study can lead to recommendations for future customer churn prediction improvement, in addition to providing an overview of current research trends.
