Aim of the study is to compare the most relevant protocols for the assessment of the rehabilitative path of patient with lower limb prosthesis. The first one is the "Timed up and go", a test created to analyse balance disorders in adults. It was modified to quantify the mobility in adults with different pathologies. The test analyses the transition from the sitting to the upright position and vice versa after a walking distance of three meters. This test is quick and easy to perform, does not require special instruments or training, so it can be administered by any healthcare professional. The second one is the "2-minute walk test". It is proposed when it is difficult for the patient to support the walk for a longer time. Results from previous studies show that this test is particularly sensitive to clinical changes resulting from rehabilitation treatment;it is also practical, simple and quick to administer. One of the most used protocol in the field of prosthetics is the "K level" test. The method classifies patients in five levels that indicate the degree of activity that the amputee can sustain based on an assessment of the patient's current situation, including the status of the stump, the desire to walk and other pathological conditions. With this test it is possible to determine the components of the prosthetic aid best suited to the patient's activity levels. The "Locomotor Capabilities Index" is a questionnaire that allows to define the gait characteristics of prosthetic amputees and their level of independence. The "Russek's Code" protocol is used to measure the functional abilities of amputees with their own prosthesis. This test provides significant results for differences between patients of different ages and amputation level. However, these results require a fairly large sample of patients. The "Prosthetic Profile of the Amputee" is a questionnaire that consists of 44 questions divided into six sections concerning the patient's physical condition, the

Today the world has more than 7 billion people. In this post-industrial era, its inhabitants, moving between big cities and within them, are called urban nomads. The importance of luggage design has grown over time, but new challenges arose, such as carrying electronics devices used every day. The main objective of this research is to develop a new product focused in today travellers' comfort and convenience. The methodology of this project is mainly empirical (active research), supported by a literature review and online survey. It is intended to create a travel kit that simplifies usability, organization and carry-on luggage transport. The process has involved the development and launch of an online inquiry to air travellers, both in Portuguese and in English, with an universe of 450 respondents. The target groups included: Tourists, Businessmen and Aviation Crews. The survey's feedback led the project into a turning point, a new concept based on Inclusive Design.

This paper presents the result of research on organizational commitment in the sector of health protection. 150 doctors and nurses employed in three hospitals in Lodz and in two Sanitary and Epidemiological Stations located in Lodz participated in the research. Gallupa Test (G12) was used to measure the engagement together with in-depth structured individual interviews (IDI). The research showed a problem of the lack of balance of resources and work demands, which results in the decrease of the affective commitment and causes the danger of professional burnout of medical staff. The engagement in the group of respondents increased with age but in none of the age categories both among doctors and nurses exceeded the level of 37%.

Disorientation is an usual issue in many situations, namely during emergency into complex buildings. It may cause a lack of crucial time mainly during early evacuation stages, increasing the chance of harming. This exploratory study aims to investigate the influence of others over a personal route-choice decision during wayfinding into a complex building. A Virtual Reality-based methodology was used and a virtual hotel was adapted from Vilar [1] in order to present six T-shape intersections with two opposite corridors. Two conditions were considered, an everyday condition, that represents the occupant interaction in an ordinary situation, and an emergency condition, in which a fire occurs into the building. Virtual character was inserted in order to investigate the influence of others over a directional choice decision. Findings point to a social influence over wayfinding decisions, suggesting that it can be an important aspect to be considered by safety planners, graphical designers, architects, managers and all those related with safety into complex buildings.

The Gray Zone lies between peace and war, where and when adversaries increasingly orchestrate campaigns using multiple elements of power to achieve political-security objectives minimizing the risks of engaging in direct kinetic warfare. Actions motivated by a Gray Zone campaign are deliberately ambiguous - sometimes deceptive - to hide the ultimate intent, cloud attribution, or leave the target of the campaign a choice among only acquiescence or escalation. Recent Gray Zone campaigns include the Russian occupation in the Ukraine and the expansion of Chinese influence and control in the South China Sea. In this paper we define competition in the Gray Zone, characterize the concurrent interactions between campaigns and counter-campaigns of two adversaries, and provide an Indications and Warnings (I&W) framework for detecting Gray Zone campaigns early. We propose combining bottom-up analysis, such as changes in the intensity and tone of messaging in media, economic investments, and other actions in the Diplomatic, Information, Military, and Economic (DIME) spectrum, with top-down analysis of the master narratives of nation states and other actors. We propose that interdiction of a Gray Zone campaign is best structured by analogy to the approach for disrupting the cyber kill chain.

The aim of this review was to provide an overview on possible fields where robots with head based control might be used. In that context another object was to investigate the effect of different neck movements on the user's stress and strain. All in all, 13 studies were included in this review. Their quality was evaluated by a checklist. A total of ten studies showed useful for the further approach. Five dealt with application possibilities for head based control. Four studies assessed the muscle activity of the neck via sEMG and five studies used other measurements for the assessment of stress and strain. In conclusion, there are many possible application areas for head based control which can be further developed to support working persons as well as disabled people. The application of a robot controlled via head movements will be investigated in an upcoming study following the recommendations gathered through this research.

Safety Management systems (SMS) normally base on the assumption that safety can be guaranteed through a prescription of a one-best-way of activity performance. Any deviation from this one-best-way is considered a violation. Main objective of safety measures is therefore to eliminate variability in human performance. A more comprehensive safety perspective recognizes that the operating conditions under which activities must be performed are never ideal. The human ability to adapt performance depending on the current situation is consequently considered a strength that should be supported in order to enhance safety. The possibility to deploy this strength should therefore be guaranteed. For this purpose, a safety tool - the Measure Evaluation Tool (MET) - that supports the definition of an appropriate human scope of action was developed. This is following presented.

Regardless of their ages, races, and gender all people benefit from active participation in sport and recreation activities because all of these activities aim to promote active participation. Sport for all (hereafter SfA) aims for taking this idea a step further. Sport for all activities demands voluntary active participation to sport for all activities of participants. Besides, voluntary work in maintenance of these activities, giving support to the projects and other events are also important as they help to create and promote a unique network of sport enthusiasts. The aim of this paper is to how Turkish Sport for All Federation (hereafter TSFAF) works to disseminate sport and active life style to the whole country through various organizations along with introducing some activities and their effectiveness in terms of raising awareness.

Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are now the most recent topic within the field of e-learning. They have the potential to influence the higher education environments significantly worldwide by creating a completely new and large market of educational resources by overpassing the traditional universities market share due to their physical limitations. However, due to the many differences between mobile devices and desktop environments, the introduction of mobile technology in MOOC environment is challenging. Hence, the main objective of this paper is to study and compare the learner's experience in different learning environments by using mobile devices and PCs while performing given tasks related to MOOCs. To achieve this goal, we conduct a subjective experiment with various MOOCs related tasks to be performed in mobile and desktop learning environment. The results of the findings show that the difficulties learners have experienced in the mobile environment are more expressed. Moreover, their satisfactory level is much higher in the desktop environment.

The energetic transition will be a major challenge in the next years. Today, we must imagine future needs and uses of alternative energy such as hydrogen. For this, we need to define and design innovative services which will satisfy future expectations of future users. But how can we evaluate and design products and services when they do not yet exist? In this case, it is hard to animate focus groups of users, impossible to analyze the usages, complicate to understand user's opinions. To deal with these questions, it is necessary to introduce prospective and creativity in the ergonomics approaches, so-called prospective ergonomics. Our project and the first results obtained show how different "actors of hydrogen" imagine the future uses of this energy from different points of view. We chose to organize three staff of professionals (production, transport and energy distribution) and we made a lexical analysis of their conversations. We present in this communication the process of lexical analysis and main results obtained. We explain, how we created 4 fictitious users called "Personas". The main role of these personas is to facilitate ideation in order to allow the hydrogen professionals to design new products and innovative services.
