Frames have become the field of active research, both in theory and in applications. In the work, the notion of quarter- nary affine pseudoframes is introduced and the notion of a quart-ernary generalized multiresolution structure (GMRS) is introduced. An approach for designing one GMRS of Paley-Wiener subspaces of L-2 (R-4) is provided. The sufficient condition for the existence of a sort of affine pseudoframes with filter banks is obtained by virtue of a generalized multiresolution structure. The pyramid decomposition scheme is obtained based on such a generalized multiresolution structure. A method for designing a sort of affine quarternary dual frames in four-imensional space is proposed.

Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) has proposed several information literacy competency standards on how to evaluate whether or not an individual has good information literacy. However, due to the popularity of smart phones and Tablet PCs, information technology has shown a significant change, and information literacy indicators have then seemed to be inadequate. The purpose of the study is to add indicators related to mobile devices focusing on the information literacy proposed by ACRL. The study has invited various mobile device experts to be the Delphi group member of the study, and the information technology literacy indicators will be amended to meet the mobile technology concept through the online Delphi questionnaire survey. The study has constructed mobile literacy indicators through 3 online Delphi questionnaire surveys, which are roughly similar to the information literacy indicators, they can, however, meet the mobile technology concept. The study result can be provided as a reference for the self-evaluation of relevant organizations and individuals.

A low power LDO (Low Dropout Regulator) for power management of SoC applied in a battery-less TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is presented and designed with automobile electronic 0.35 mu m CMOS technology. Based on simulation results, with typical 3.3V input and 3.0V output, presented LDO has a quiescent current of 63 mu A and delivers a current of about 30mA with a 99mV dropout voltage;the typical loop gain is up to 70.38dB which makes the output voltage 3V precise enough to the IP cores including CMOS temperature sensor. ADC. MCU and 433MHz data transmitter in the SoC and MEMS pressure sensor;and the typical PSRR is up to -67.36@8.263KHz. The low power LDO design is feasible for power management circuit of SoC in a battery-less TPMS.

The process of clustering aims to discover natural groupings, and thus present an overview of the classes (topics) in a collection of documents. In the field of artificial intelligence, this is known as unsupervised machine learning. Extraction of internal structure from document collections in the absence of pre-classified training data, is a challenging task in text-mining due to the high dimensionality of the input data (usually in the form of word-frequency vectors derived from the bag-of-words (BOW) model of document representation). Self Organizing Maps (SOM) represents high-dimensional data in the form of topology preserving two-dimensional projections which can be exploited for creating a natural visualization of data and at the same time to accomplish the task of dimensionality reduction. The feature of emergence which is the generation of complex systems and patterns by the cooperation of multiple elementary interactions provides a way of detecting higher level structures or cluster of clusters within a document corpus. The natural visualization of clusters is investigated in this study (rather than classification/categorization) using Emergent Self-Organized Maps by effectively introducing bigrams. Experiments have been conducted using a limited vocabulary of 925 documents containing 2000 unigrams and 1000 bigrams approximately to analyze the visualization of emergent higher level structures, document relatedness at lower level and at the same time show the presence of micro-clusters.

This paper proposes a novel architecture for remote technical support platform that is used for equipment maintenances in large ships. In this architecture, we integrate some new techniques such as RFID, actuator and actor sensors for the detection of equipment abnormal status, voice information hiding in wireless communications for maintenance operations, and cloud index for fast response and solution localization. We call the architecture as ApRTSP, and its advantages are highly robust, low delay, and highly accurate.

In order to improve the efficiency and decoding performance of LDPC-coded BICM system, the joint de-modulation Belief Propagation (JMBP) algorithm is proposed in this paper. Due to the good sparse structure of LDPC code, the JMBP algorithm can be derived from the generalized optimal BP algorithm based on the generalized distributive law (GDL). The JMBP algorithm has comparably low complexity while provides better decoding performance when compared with the traditional BICM-BP algorithm in high-ary modulated BICM systems. And the simulation results confirm that the JMBP algorithm outperforms the traditional BICM-BP algorithm over both the AWGN and Rayleigh fading channel.

Boosted by the invention and wide popularity of SIFT image features and bag-of-visual-words (BoVW) image representation, object retrieval has progressed significantly in the past years and has already found deployment in real-life applications and products, but the traditional BoVW methods have several problems, such as:low time efficiency and large memory consumption, the synonymy and polysemy of visual words. In this article, a method based on E2LSH (Exact Euclidean Locality Sensitive Hashing) and query expansion is proposed. Firstly, E2LSH is used to hash local features of training dataset, and a group of scalable random visual vocabularies are constructed. Then, the visual vocabulary histograms and index files are created according to these random vocabularies. Finally, a query expansion strategy is used to accomplish object retrieval. Experimental results show that the accuracy of the novel method is substantially improved compared to the traditional methods, and it adapts large scale datasets well.

Emotion elicitor is used to generate emotions in real time for agents, and is undoubtedly the basis of affective computing. To afford support from emotion sciences for the design of artificial emotion elicitor, Sequential Check Theory (SCT) was selected. Under the guidance of endogenesis strategy, relevance strategy, and operation strategy, the general emotion elicitor was built up through the construction and reduction of the decision tree. And in the process, information ratio was used for attributes selection. With the flexibility of each attribute's evaluation logic, and the close tie SCT has with emotion experiment evidence, the emotion elicitor is of universality and worth further study.

In this paper, we describe a Voice Portal designed to provide municipal information by phone. It includes the set of modules required to automatically recognize users' utterances, understand their meaning, decide the following response and generate a speech response. The different functionalities include to consult information about the City Council, access city information, carry out several steps and procedures, complete surveys, access citizen's mailbox to leave messages for suggestions and complaints, and be transferred to the City Council to be attended by a teleoperator. The voice portal is, therefore, pioneer in offering an extensive and comprehensive range of public services accessible through speech, creating a new communication channel which is useful, efficient, and easy to use. In addition, the voice portal improves the support of public services by increasing the availability, flexibility, control and reducing costs and missed calls. The paper describes the application software, infrastructures required for its operation 24 hours a day, and preliminary results of a quality assessment.
