High-throughput sequencing technologies are a significant innovation that can contribute to important advances in genetic research. In recent years, many algorithms have been developed to align the large number of short nucleotide sequences generated by these technologies. Choosing within the available alignment algorithms is difficult;to assist this decision we evaluate several algorithms for the mapping of RNA-Seq data. The comparison was completed in two phases. An initial phase narrowed down the comparison to the three algorithms implemented in the tools: ELAND, Bowtie and BWA. A second phase compared the tools in terms of runtime, alignment coverage and process control.

MIT rule is one of the basic techniques of adaptive control. It can be embedded into a general scheme of circuit with MRAC structure (reference adaptive controller). This paper deals with simulation of MRAC by use of MIT rule for a superheater which is a crucial part of a coal-fired power plant. A superheater has been chosen as a typical practical real plant with time-variant parameters and thus suitable to be controlled by adaptive control mechanism. The paper gives a comparison of adaptive control with MRAC and original PID control currently implemented in a chosen output superheater in Detmarovice power plant. Matlab&Simulink environment is used for a simulation of the control circuit described in this paper.

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a symmetric-key encryption standard. It is widely adapted to encryption/decryption sensitive information. As the speed of network transmission keeps growing and embedded applications such as Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) have been mature in recent years, to facilitate higher throughout and less cost, dedicated accelerator is demanded with less power consumption. Meanwhile, in EDA field, Electronic System level (ESL) method has become a practical development method even for commercial product. In this paper, a commercial ESL tool based on Lisa language is used. By implementing this development flow, several specific instructions are identified and implemented in a AES processor. For AES algorithm, with 40% memory saving, it is shown 50% performance improvement over ARM ISA.

In this paper, a higher-order sampled-data iterative learning control method is presented for nonlinear system with relative degree and output time delays. The higher-order learning algorithm does not include numerical differentiations of any error order. A sufficient condition is proposed that the iterative learning control converges to the desired trajectory at each sampling instant if some Lipschiz conditions are satisfied and the sampling period is small enough. A simulation example shows that higher-order algorithm has larger convergence rate.

In order to overcome effects of complex environment and movement on node tracking, and improve tracking precision further, a rough-set neural network-based adaptive tracking algorithm named rough-set adaptive interactive multi-modulus (RSAIMM) was proposed in which tracking filter based on neural network was employed. When target moved between maneuvering and non-maneuvering, rough-set neural network output adaptive feature value automatically online, to adapt to the movement with adequately accurate system variance and maintain high precision tracking of target state. Simulation results showed that compared with traditional interactive multi-modulus (IMM) tracking algorithm, tracking precision of RSAIMM algorithm was improved by 23.15%.

Unknowable paradox threatens any theory that entails the principle of knowability. In this paper. I argue that the propositional attitude "knowing" is a a state that is undergoing change when we know something that was unknown before. And the unknowable paradox is in fact a denial of this change by contradictions. There are consistent and inconsistent theories for modeling change. In a view of physicalism. we propose to relate this propositional attitude to the present time of possible worlds based on the fact that the tense of its definition in order to avoid a inconsistent theory of change. It shows that theorem 5 of Fitch turns out to be that if there is an unknown truth now then it is unknown now that it is unknown truth now. It is compatible with the principle of knowability because speaking specially, it is still possible that it is known in a future time that it is an unknown now.

In this work, we present a new framework to discover the daily mobility routines which are contained in a real-life dataset collected from a bike-sharing system. Our goal is the discovery and analysis of mobility patterns which characterize the behavior of the stations of a bike-sharing system based on the number of available bikes along a day. An unsupervised methodology based on probabilistic topic models has been used to achieve these goals. Topic models are probabilistic generative models for documents that identify the latent structure that underlies a set of words. In particular, Latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) has been used to discover mobility patterns. Our database has been collected for almost half a year from the Bicicas bike sharing system in Castellon (Spain). A set of experiments have been conducted to demonstrate the type of patterns that can be effectively discovered by using the proposed framework.

Users could do evaluation works anywhere at any time with the use of this system. Mobile office became a reality and it makes work more convenient and more efficient. HTTP protocol was adopted to transfer data between Mid let and Servlet and it makes the mobile client program to be device independent. In addition, ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) was implemented in this system, and it ensures the authenticity and integrity of the data needed by the evaluation.
