In this paper the experience gained at using low-cost interactive marker augmented reality (AR) technology during course computer graphics is presented. The preliminary exploration of AR technology adoption for learning enhancing and understanding of spatial spaces is done and several benefits are identified and analyzed via a model. Software and tools for AR learning objects development are explored and one solution is chosen from the point of view students to be involved not only in an interactive learning process, but also to be part of an authoring process. A model of usage of a virtual learning environment with access to AR learning objects is created to support students' participation during the course. The students' opinion is gathered and the results describe AR as promising and effective technology that allows spatial spaces to be examined in detail and that supports creative thinking and development of more realistic 3D scenes.

A key factor for a successful organization, in a current dynamic environment, is effective information technology (IT) supporting business strategies and processes. Aligning IT with business depends on many factors, including the level of communication and cooperation between top management of organizations and top management of IT departments. This paper builds on the rules published in [5] which create prerequisites for the achievement of business and IT alignment. The paper discusses the outcomes of the survey realized in six hundred organizations operating on the Czech market. The survey aimed to determine whether the organization meets the basic assumptions, for it to be potentially mature in business/IT alignment, in order to select such organizations for future research into this matter. Characteristics of such organizations were deduced from the survey data. Survey results and analyses provide the base and direction for further business/IT alignment maturity research.

In this study we used a statistical analysis, based on a sub-sample of participants enrolled in the fifth years of computerscience Department of Batna (Algeria) University, the effects of an online environment reading comprehension were investigated. The students' native language was Arabic, and they were learning English as a second foreign language. The two research questions of this study are: I. Are there any differences in students reading paper-and-pencil / web mode? 2. Are there any differences in students' reading individual / collaborative mode? The paper proves that working with our online learning environment significantly improved the students' motivation and positively affected higher-level knowledge and skills.

In this study, we focus on competitive Arabic debates and employ language models to classify debaters' persuasion modes. Specifically, we aim to identify and categorize ethos, pathos, and logos-the foundational rhetorical strategies underpinning persuasive discourse. We propose two distinct approaches for persuasion mode classification to achieve these objectives. Firstly, we train a baseline language model using the ULMFiT method with an LSTM model. Secondly, we explore the fine-tuning of Language Models pre-trained on Arabic texts to leverage the contextual knowledge captured by pre-trained models. In the early stages of this research, we present preliminary results from each approach, outlining their respective strengths and limitations. Our findings demonstrate that CAMeLBERT outperforms other language models in the accuracy of classification and fairness. The CAMeLBERT reaches 91.7% accuracy, 90% f1-score, and less than 3.6% and 1.4% in demographic parity and equal opportunity differences, respectively.

This report presents the evaluation results of the Tibetan-Chinese machine translation task conducted by the National Language Resources Monitoring and Research Center for Minority Languages at the 20th Conference on Machine Translation (CCMT2024). The translation system described in this paper is based on the LLaMA2-7B architecture, with specific secondary pre-training and supervised fine-tuning tailored to the translation task. The results demonstrate that this approach effectively improves the performance of Tibetan-Chinese machine translation. Additionally, this paper employs a parameter grid search method to investigate the impact of different parameter combinations on translation performance.

The process of pronunciation is accompanied by energy planning and consumption. Energy in a broad sense is a 'resource'. Many phonetic phenomena are related to the quantity of the 'resource'. For example, stress is often considered to occupy a larger amount of 'resource', which is why it appears particularly prominent. But what parameters are used to describe the quantity of pronunciation? This is a question worth studying. This article starts with the issue of stress, studies various acoustic factors that affect stress perception, and then finds an effective parameter that reflects the quantity of pronunciation - Times of vibration of vocal folds (TVVF). Previous studies in phonetics have suggested that pitch and duration are important acoustic parameters that affect stress perception. However, for tonal languages likeMandarin, these two parameters may not be the best parameters for representing stress. Because different tones have different pitch and duration characteristics, these parameters cannot reflect the stress levels well. This study found that TVVF better reflects stress levels than pitch and duration. TVVF represents the times of vibration of vocal folds during pronunciation and the number of pulses of a syllable in acoustics. Since the number of pulses is the integral of pitch and duration, TVVF is a fusion parameter of pitch and duration. Research has shown that TVVF is a more effective parameter for indicating tonal language stress level than other acoustic parameters. In addition, TVVF can effectively reflect the quantity pattern of pronunciation in large prosodic units. We found that the number of syllables in a big prosodic unit is inversely related to the average TVVF of syllables. That is to say, there is a conservation phenomenon in the TVVF of prosodic units. We refer to it as the principle of 'Quantitative conservation of pronunciation'. In summary, TVVF is an effective quantitative parameter for describing pronunciation and can be used in var

In recent years, machine learning and websites have developed rapidly. This resulted in continual and explosive growth in the sharing of ideas and views on products and services over the worldwide web in an array of sectors. As a result, there is an enormous flow of internet data attainable for analytical research. Sentiment analysis (SA) is a part of Natural Language Processing (NLP) that requires to process enormous amounts of data in order to identify people's opinions and sentiments. Several studies have been conducted to deal with the negative effects of social networks. This field of research is increasing popularity in both the public and private sectors, leading to the creation of several challenges. However, the majority of the available datasets were in English. Whereas the Arabic Moroccan dialect (Darija) ones were not. Following that, we created models combining NLP and Marching learning techniques to detect and classify sentiments. We evaluated the models using the most used metrics: accuracy, loss, F1-score, precision, and recall. The results of the experiment revealed modest scores between 87% and 89%. These findings imply that the models require to be upgraded due to a lack of accessible datasets and pre-processing techniques to handle the Moroccan dialect of Arabic (Darija).

This contribution represents the fifth phase of a research project entitled Augmented Didactic, that aimed at investigating the benefits of using Augmented Reality (AR) in education. In this new research, the focus was on exploring the impact of AR on memory systems, specifically visuo-spatial and semantic memory, in undergraduates' students. The analysis of the results reveals an enhanced memorization of the presented concepts in terms of recognition and localization of brain areas (+28%). It is highlighted that through the support of AR, students develop a greater self-awareness, leading to an overall improvement in the learning processes, positively influencing academic performance and the experience of concept acquisition.

Stationary logistics warehouses and mobile temporary supply points as part of the last military mile form a central component of the supply infrastructure of armed forces in operation. The ongoing RESISTANT (Increased Resilient Military Logistics based on a Fully Digitalized, Distributed and Autonomous Supply Chain is a collaborative project under FFG contract number FO999904051. The project "RESISTANT" is funded/financed within the Austrian defence research programm FORTE of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance and managed by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency. - https://***/institut-fuer-wirtschaftsinformatik-communications-engine ering/forschung/forschungsprojekte/laufende-projekte/resistant/) project aims to increase the resilience of this infrastructure and the supply chain in terms of effective provision, transparency, and reliability despite the most difficult conditions. Research is spent on a concept and innovative technologies for decomposing central logistics and storage hubs into smaller units that can be managed independently. Such distributed, small-scale micro-storage facilities have decisive deficiencies, such as increased administrative effort and more difficult monitoring of the stockpile status. These deficiencies can be overcome by shelves and transport containers that form shelf clusters, supported by short-range radio technologies and protocols. In this contribution we introduce the concept how inventory data become available offline at the on-site micro warehouses and can be accessed by the soldiers' mobile devices. The envisioned solution does not require a central coordination hub, since the underlying logistic process specification enable decentralized control and dynamic adaptation in the field.
