This paper introduces a novel Pythagorean fuzzy pattern recognition-(PFPR) model for the evaluation of the Social Inclusion Index (SII) in Azerbaijan, a crucial component of the Social Quality framework. The approach takes into account the fuzziness of input data and the fuzziness generated throughout the computation process, utilizing Pythagorean fuzzy (PF) logic tools. The proposed model integrates operations framing the PFPR process. Compared to existing multiple-criteria decision-making methods, the contemplated algorithm enhances the computation of socio-economic indices. The paper explores the multidimensional nature of social inclusion, emphasizing its role in creating equal opportunities and facilitating engagement across various societal spheres. To measure social inclusion, the study addresses challenges related to defining social inclusion and identifying indicators, drawing on approaches from institutions such as the European Commission and Eurostat. The results obtained reveal the SII level in Azerbaijan, and the proposed approach demonstrates its applicability in analyzing and estimating various socio-economic phenomena.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is an entangling force impacting the scope of businesses in areas such as health, finance, education, and even consumer technology. Against this background, we sought to explore the influence of demographic factors on attitudes towards AI among Arabic speakers. A total of 210 participants were selected from the Arab speaking community in the United Arab Emirates, followed by a hypothesis testing using an independent t-test of the data collected through the survey that contained 30 questions divided into five different categories including demographics, voice assistant usage, specific aspect of AI voice assistants, challenges of AI voice assistants and IT specific field of AI voice assistants. Results demonstrated that the variable of gender shows a significant influence on the perceived importance of AI, where females think AI to be more important than males. There was a significant difference: that is, those who did not perceive cultural barriers rated AI as more important than those who did. This outcome indicates that the cognitive representation of AI depends on the cultural context. Likewise, no significant difference was found across the question of whether technical knowledge is perceived to be a barrier, or not. This might imply that technical knowledge may raise awareness, though not necessarily related to being translated to a higher perceived importance of AI. The study sheds light on how demographic factors interact with each other in a complex way and puts emphasis on the importance of demographic-specific approaches in implementing AI technology to boost integration and acceptance effectively.

Passfaces are graphical passwords that use facial images arranged in grids as password digits. A study utilized faces of celebrities as passfaces that were found to be as memorable as PINs, even among emergent users. However, the grid was not shuffled at the time of recall, raising security concerns regarding shoulder-surfing and smudge attacks. We extend their work by assessing the impact of grid shuffling on usability and memorability. We present a within-subjects, counterbalanced, longitudinal study with 100 university students that systematically compares the performance of Celebrity Passfaces presented in two conditions at recall time, one presented in the same positions (Non-shuffled) and one by shuffling the arrangement (Shuffled). Results showed no significant difference in the 10-day memorability between shuffled (98.97%) and non-shuffled (96.91%) conditions (p = 0.3033), indicating shuffled grids maintain similar usability and memorability as non-shuffled grids. While people took relatively more time to recall the shuffled passfaces in Recall 1 (31.41 s) than non-shuffled passfaces (20.78 s), and more time to recall the non-shuffled passfaces in Recall 2 and 3 (41.25, 46.10 s respectively) compared to shuffled passfaces (38.76, 45.26 s respectively), there was no significant difference between the two conditions in any of the Recalls. We present an analysis of the security and memorability of the faces used in Celebrities passfaces and compare it with the previous study.

In the pisco industry and those dedicated to packaging liquid products, the capping process is crucial to maintaining product quality during distribution and subsequent sale. This study applied the Six Sigma methodology to evaluate process quality, followed by validation using the Analytic Network Process (ANP) through the "Super Decisions" software. This combined analysis aids in decision-making for process controls. Experimentally, a 20% improvement in capping efficiency and a 15% reduction in closure defects were achieved. Additionally, a 10% reduction in cycle time and a 25% optimization in resource usage were observed. These results highlight the effectiveness of integrating Six Sigma and ANP methodologies to enhance the capping process quality in the pisco industry. The application of these methodologies provides tangible benefits, including increased operational efficiency and improved customer satisfaction. The findings suggest that such an integrated approach can serve as a valuable framework for other industries aiming to optimize their packaging processes and achieve similar gains in product quality and process efficiency.

Data Warehouse have become a fundamental part of organizations that want or need to leverage data. Currently, there are three main approaches for a Data Warehouse, the Inmon's approach with a normalized model, Kimball's with a dimensional model and Data Vault. Data Vault is a modeling technique designed to be flexible regards to changes both in the sources and analytic requirements as well as storing all versions of data for all points in time for auditing and time-travel features. This paper reviewed the latest developments in this field, those were classified in five categories, theoretical evaluation, practical evaluation, automation, metadata model and alternative models. For theoretical and practical evaluations, the papers agree on the advantages Data Vault has when it comes to model evolution and temporal aspects as well as the disadvantages on model complexity and query performance. On Data Vault automation and metadata models, the papers leverage Data Vault patterns to automate ingestion and consumption of data and model management, however it lacks standardization on those approaches. As for alternative models, those were proposed with the purpose of improve Data Vault flexibility and temporal aspects, however the resulting model is more complex in terms of number of tables and joins and the affects of this on performance, model management and automation is not covered in depth. Finally, a study of a data model that improves those aspects while reducing model complexity was proposed in which a Document Oriented and a Wide Column inspired model were evaluated against the Data Vault model, the initial results of the Wide Column inspired data model showed improved ingestion and query performance. Therefore, the next steps of the study is to further evaluate this model using larger datasets, different platforms and multiple types of analytical queries.

Peak Carbon and Carbon Emission Reduction has been a hot issue in the shipping industry for a long time, but it still faces serious challenges. One of the reasons for this is that there is still a lack of scientific guidance on carbon reduction in ports. Improving Port Carbon Emissions Efficiency (PCEE) is an effective means to achieve carbon neutrality. This study analyses the Carbon Emissions Efficiency (CEE) of ports in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region, which can provide theoretical support for the development and optimization of green, efficient, and sustainable development strategies for ports. A Super efficiency Slack Based Measure model (Super-SBM) considering non-desired outputs was constructed to assess the static efficiency of carbon emissions and the potential for improvement of the ports using panel data of nine ports in the P PRD for the period 2010-2022;a Global Malmquist- Luenberger (GML) index to study the dynamic changes of port carbon emission efficiency. A comprehensive static-dynamicmeasurement of port carbon emission efficiency is carried out, and strategies for improvement are proposed. The results of the study show that: (1) there are obvious differences in efficiency among ports, and themean value of PCEE of Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan and Zhaoqing ports is greater than or equal to 1 during the study period;(2) during the study period, the mean value of the GML index is 1.03623, and the PCEE shows an increase, and ports have shown obvious improvement in green and low-carbon efficiency. (3) In the third category of ports with a low level of carbon emission efficiency and slow growth, improving resource allocation is an important method to improve PCEE.

The proposed research aims to address the critical need for robust disease detection in tomato crops in the Middle East, given the essential role of tomatoes in the region's food security. Recognizing the significance of plant disease detection becomes important for securing a stable supply of this essential crop. This research aims to employ transfer learning and A modified InceptionResNetV2 architecture for the purpose of disease detection. The study evaluates the efficiency of this model with two datasets: Plant Village and Noulam. The Proposed Model Surpasses Prior Works: Achieving 99.8% and 99.7% Accuracies on Respective Datasets for Tomato Disease Detection. The primary objective of this research is to enhance the early detection of tomato diseases, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of tomato cultivation.

Telemarketing is currently the most effective method for banks to sell long-term deposits and enhance profitability. Leveraging machine learning techniques can optimize profits by accurately targeting the most promising potential customers, particularly addressing the challenge of imbalanced classification inherent in this domain. This paper proposes an algorithm to address the imbalance problem by using the minority instance's contribution to the variance explained by principal components to train a weighted random forest after clustering the minority class with K-means. Using the UCI bank marketing dataset with an 80:20 training-evaluation split, the proposed algorithm achieves the best compromise between sensitivity and precision without altering the data distribution. This performance is benchmarked against three classifiers-Random Forest (RF), Logistic Regression (LR), and Support Vector Machine (SVM)-and oversampling techniques: SMOTE, K-means SMOTE, and ADASYN.

JavaScript is one of the most preferred programming languages for web development and many novice programmers use it for learning programming through web development. JavaScript programmers often rely on browser devTools to debug their programs. The error messages in web browsers get logged into the web console, which is a part of the devTools. However, novice programmers often find it difficult to understand and interpret the error messages. Therefore, we propose JestViz, a tool aimed at helping novice web developers through the modification of the error reporting mechanism and visualization of the stack trace from error messages as a function call graph. We conjecture that these improvements provide novice programmers with a better interpretation of program errors, leading to faster debugging. Our evaluation of JestViz with 20 novice programmers involving the task of comprehending and debugging an erroneous JavaScript program showed that those who used JestViz took 46% lesser time to debug the program and gained an improved understanding of the inputs and nested function calls that produced the errors.

The work presents the results of a life cycle analysis study for the case of organic wine production at a local winery in Pieria. The aim of this study is to determine the impacts associated with the entire process of wine production at "Ktima Kourtis" winery. The boundaries of the system incorporate the annual cultivation of the vineyard and includes all phases of the product's life cycle until its disposal after consumption. Comprehensive calculations of inputs and outputs for a 750 ml bottle (the operational unit in the LCA study) are performed. In order to quantify the impacts, the LCArt Simulations Engine is used. The LCArt Simulations Engine is employed for impact quantification, functioning as a web application developed under the KYKLOS 4.0 project that was funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Programme. The analysis utilizes both real data from the winery and information available in the Ecoinvent database.
