The Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) paradigm has received considerable attention in the research and business community over the past fewyears. MaaS provides manufacturing resources and capabilities as service, available for utilization by organizations via a digital thread, allowing them to concentrate in their significant competencies. This literature review enriched with bibliometrics, aims to examine the current state of MaaS by analyzing selected and contemporary references from Scopus database. The analysis was conducted with the help of specialized bibliometrics software, and the quantitative results include annual trends, leading publications, journals and organizations, citation distributions, co-occurrence of keywords, and journal co-citations. In addition, the publications have been classified according to the methodologies implemented for the data collection and analysis, their objectives, the results obtained, as well as their contribution to the field of manufacturing. This study sheds light on the status and trends in the field ofMaaS and has the potential to aid researchers in forming their research agenda and advancing their work on this topic.

Code-mixed text is often used in multi-lingual countries, where people mix more than one language in a single statement to express their thoughts freely on online media platforms. However, the existing code-mixed datasets that are available are small in size and highly skewed towards the non-sarcastic class. The imbalanced data leads to poor predictive performance such as low F1 score when they are trained on machine-learning models. Thus, in this research, we make an attempt to correctly handle imbalanced Hindi-English (Hi-Eng) code-mixed data to detect sarcasm. The proposed approach uses hybrid oversampling technique (SMOTE-ENN) during 10 fold stratified cross validation. We experimented and performed comparative analysis on our proposed approach with five machine-learning models say Multinomial Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machine, Logistic Regression, Random Forest Tree and Extreme Gradient Boosting. The F1-score of the proposed approach was compared with the baseline approach. We observed that our proposed approach shows new insight into handling the imbalanced data.

This research analyzes the textual content of emergency calls that arrive at command and control centers to classify them according to their priority. The aim is to respond promptly and make appropriate decisions in situations that require immediate attention. Text mining techniques construct a computational model with preprocessing techniques such as tokenization, case folding, and stop words removal. The calls are then represented using Word Embeddings with the Skip-Gram architecture to obtain word vectorization, and the Clustering algorithm is applied for classification. The results show an improvement in classification accuracy, achieving 95% precision in classification tests using high and low-priority categories and 81% in classification tests using four alert categories. These techniques enhance the syntactic and semantic understanding of emergency calls and reduce the risk of loss of human life.

The limitations of real quantum devices and the growing interest in Quantum Computing have caused many organizations to focus on developing software quantum simulators that run on classical computers. These simulators are a popular tool suitable for testing quantum computing concepts on ideal conditions, avoiding dealing with hardware challenges like the limited number and quality of physical qubits and quantum error correction, among others. Nevertheless, expressing the fundamental principles of quantum computing using conventional data structures for simulations on classical computers requires substantial memory. This work proposes several strategies to save memory to increase the number of qubits in the simulations. Among these strategies, we propose proper data structure selection and data compression.

This research explores the transformative role of virtual brand ambassadors in influencer marketing, driven by AI and CGI technologies. The Internet of Things has sparked a profound revolution in networking by enabling the collection of vast sensor data, serving as the foundation for smart applications such as homes, cities, and industries. However, achieving such solutions is challenging due to resource constraints such as limited computational power, storage, and memory in IoT devices. The routing protocol (RPL), the most commonly utilized routing algorithm, employs objective functions (OFs) to determine path selection based on diverse metrics. The accurate evaluation and testing of these OFs are paramount in developing effective routing solutions. This paper thoroughly analyses the results of testing standard objective functions, focusing on addressing load imbalance and congestion issues. The analysis aims to ascertain the suitability of existing standardized objective functions as optimal routing solutions for IoT networks, given the results of the challenges posed by load balancing. This paper evaluates the efficacy of various objective functions used in RPL, providing insights to improve the routing performance and evaluate IoT devices' reliability, energy efficiency, load balancing, and overall network performance. The results of testing standard objective functions using the Contiki OS tool are meticulously compared. The analysis seeks to assess the suitability of the existing standardized objective functions as the most optimal routing solution for IoT networks.

Wireless sensor and actuator networks (WSANs) are of great significance in the realm of industrial automation systems. However, the aspect of security in WSANs has been somewhat overlooked. One particular security concern is the rank attack, where malicious actors actively manipulate the transmission of messages from neighboring nodes. This undermines the entire network's data collection and routing operations, resulting in a significant degradation of network performance. This attack adversely affects crucial metrics such as packet delivery ratio (PDR), latency, and power consumption, ultimately reducing the network's overall lifespan. In order to foster trust among nodes, ensure accurate delivery of data to end users, safeguard shared data in the cloud from security breaches, and prevent rank attacks within the network, it is crucial to protect the network against such malicious activities. This research paper aims to introduce an enhanced version of the Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks (RPL) protocol, specifically tailored to identify and eliminate rank attacks within existing WSANs. The effectiveness of the new protocol will be assessed through experimentation using Zolertia (Z1) sensors in the Cooja network simulator. To minimize network overhead on the sensors' side, the proposed scheme limits cryptographic operations to symmetric key-based mechanisms such as XORing, hash functions, and encryption. These operations will be implemented using a C-compiler and verified through the ModelSIM Altera SE edition 11.0 simulator.

The test-case-based approach is widely used for automated evaluation of students lab submissions in Data Structures and Algorithms (e.g., HackerRank, CodeChef). However, this method has key limitations: distinguishing between O(log n) and O(n) time solutions requires large test cases, and even optimal solutions fail sometimes under high server load conditions. As a result, an alternative method for evaluating time complexity is necessary. This study explores the potential of using a Large Language Model (LLM), specifically ChatGPT-3.5, for determining the time complexity of student programs. Using a dataset from four DSA lab problems with 259 student submissions, we compared ChatGPT-3.5s predictions with the manually calculated ground truth. Our findings demonstrate that the ChatGPT-3.5-based approach achieves an average accuracy of 99.6% in correctly identifying time complexity. This suggests that an LLM-based method can effectively replace the large test cases typically required to determine the time complexity of submitted solutions.

The video game industry has a fast-growing multi-billiondollar market. Due to the fast evolution of game technologies and industry, there is a pressing need to survey and analyze the current game development processes so that students who have an interest in game development can have better knowledge and skills for their projects in game software engineering education. In this paper, we present our survey and analysis of multiple aspects of modern game development and provide useful insights for students who want to work on game development. We also present a model of the common components of the game development process as well as the amount of the workload involved. This can help students, who are interested in developing their own games, craft a realistic plan for such projects.

A focus on sustainability, resilience, and human-centricity is necessary to implement the global vision of Industry 5.0. However, assessing the readiness of these pillars within the business processes of an organization remains a significant challenge. This paper addresses this gap by providing a comprehensive and process-based maturity model in Industry 5.0 context. The model adopts a top-down approach assessing the maturity of business processes at different layers and focusing on the formalization of practices and their correlation with maturity levels. The applicability of the model is demonstrated through its instantiation to the supply chain process category, with a focus on the schedule production process. Furthermore, the paper explores the integration of AI-based techniques to automate the creation of maturity grids and streamline the assessment process. Overall, the results of this paper highlight the prescriptive characteristic of the proposed maturity model, providing a robust framework to guide organizations towards a step-by-step transition through the Industry 5.0 vision.
