The article discusses controlling the power of moving heat sources to heat a rod as per given rules and trajectories. The heat source control values are determined based on temperature measurements taken at nearby measuring points. An optimization approach is suggested for feedback coefficients of heat sources and measurement points in a rod's state. Current values of the powers of moving lumped sources are distributed along the rod in a certain neighbourhood of their current location. The problem of control synthesis is reduced into the parametric optimal control problem for a system with distributed parameters. To solve the problem using numerical methods, first-order optimization methods are proposed. Formulas were derived for the gradient of the objective functional, considering feedback parameters and the coordinates of measurement points. The test problem can be solved numerically using first-order optimization methods with the help of these formulas. The report will present the results of numerical experiments.

The film blowing machine is a piece of equipment utilized for manufacturing plastic film through the extrusion of melted plastic particles to form continuous film. To meet the requirements for automating the film blowing machine, the focus is on the analysis of the rotating servo motor within the machine. Discussions involve the servo motor's relevant structure, and a mathematical simulation model using Simulink is developed to simulate the servo motor's control system in the Matlab environment. The system employs a combination of PID control and fuzzy logic control to enhance performance. Transfer functions and fuzzy rules are established based on the servo motor's characteristics and parameters. Through simulations, the effectiveness of the fuzzy PID control method is compared to that of PID control or fuzzy logic control independently. Step response curves for the different controllers are created in Matlab, and the various control methods are assessed by comparing their response curve differences. The results show that the adaptive fuzzy PID control method is superior to the traditional PID control method in terms of dynamic performance and robustness, and realizes the precise control of the blown film thickness.

The VIKOR method is a ranking method based on compromise solution, which finally reaches the scheme that is closest to the positive ideal solution and the farthest away from the negative ideal solution. In the VIKOR method, its weight affects the accuracy of the ranking. Firstly, an objective weight method for determining indicators by granular importance is given, which accurately reflects the role of each granularity in the granularity space, and then the objective weight determination method of granularity is combined with the subjective empowerment method. Secondly, the comprehensive method of particle weight is combined with the VIKOR method, and a decision-making method combining multi-granularity rough set and VIKOR method is proposed. Finally, through case analysis and comparison with other methods, the objectivity and accuracy of the method are verified.

In this paper, a heuristic function-improved deep reinforcement learning TD3-based robot navigation method is proposed for local navigation in a simulated substation environment. First, a 3D map of the nonstatic simulated substation environment is constructed. Second, 2D OU noise is added to the output action space to improve exploration efficiency. Then, a heuristic function based on state information is designed to adaptively adjust the hyperparameters of the OU noise action space. Finally, migration learning is used to train the robot for obstacle avoidance navigation in a simulated substation environment with dynamic obstacles added. The experimental results obtained by comparing the H-OU, H-Gauss and original Gaussian noise methods reveal that our proposed method achieves the highest average reward function among the three methods, with a 16.46% increase in the average reward value compared with that of the original method and a navigation success rate of 92%.

Tourism is considered the sector that has benefited most from technological innovation. In the last decade, a good example of this innovation is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has emerged as a fundamental tool, capable of significantly transforming visitors' experience. From chatbots that offer 24/7 customer service to personalized recommendation systems that suggest destinations, activities to do, and places to visit, AI is redefining how tourists plan, book and experience their trips. AI is equally present before, during and after the trip. This paper aims to explore the impact of AI on personalizing the traveler experience, investigating current technologies, their benefits and challenges, and the results of their implementation in the tourism industry. These results are achieved not only by the state of the art, but also by carrying out a questionnaire to travelers, thus obtaining a concrete quantitative answer. In addition, limitations of the present study are mentioned, as well as future work proposed.

In modern digital world, the amount of information is increasing dramatically. All this information requires immediate processing which can be done by automated systems. To accelerate processing in automated systems, new models, methods and efficient algorithms for their implementation are needed. The article considers the problem of distributing incoming messages to handlers in an automated system of an organization. The classical assignment problem and known methods of its solution are the mathematical basis for solving the problem. A generalization of the assignment problem with invalid combinations of assignments is considered as a model. A solution algorithm is developed and a software product for solving the described problem in the Python language is implemented. Moreover, numerical experiments are carried out to verify the quality of the developed algorithm and check its feasibility. The applied problem posed in this paper is relevant as in terms of its practical application and as the study of the mathematical model of the assignment problem and methods of its solution. The developed algorithm allows us to calculate the system load and regulate the number of handlers in operation. The obtained results can serve as input parameters for the simulation model of the incoming message processing system which will allow experimenting with the load of such a system.

The rise of QR code menus has changed the food and beverage industry, especially in the post-COVID-19 context. While much research has focused on generational differences in technological adoption, examining the effectiveness of QR code menu ordering relative to perceived usefulness (PU), ease of use (PE), social influence (SI), technological anxiety (TA), and technological knowledge (TK) has been overlooked. This quantitative study employs a three-phase quasi-experimental study to examine QR code effectiveness across 153 Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z respondents. The results of this study provide evidence of how customers across the generations increasingly supported utilising the QR code menu when ordering at quick-service restaurants. However, Gen Zs have higher preferences than Gen Xs, while Gen Ys are fence-sitting over traditional and digital ordering. Significantly, this study's novelty lies in the multiple regression analysis results, which show that PE and SI had the strongest positive impact on QR code effectiveness, while TA provided a negative influence. As such, this study recommends that quick-service restaurants enhance the QR ordering system's interface to make it easier to use while mitigating customers' anxiety about QR code adoption through positive social interactions.

The primary cause of security breaches in private and public organizations is employee non-adherence to information security policies. This research aims to develop a framework for end-user compliance with information security policies in government departments. A consolidated framework that integrates all the factors that influence end-user compliance with information security policies will help organizations and security managers realize all the elements that affect information security compliance. The study applied a systematic literature review using the PRISMA protocol to identify the factors and the components that will contribute to the development of the framework. Subsequently, this enables organizations to tailor their strategies and interventions to address specific challenges, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful end-user compliance with information security policies.

In today's world, the issues associated with network security have increased by a tremendous amount. For instance, cyber-attacks during different types of network transmissions are one of the major problems associated with security. A Firewall can be used to provide protection against unauthorized traffic during these transmissions. Our proposed solution uses several different machine learning techniques to predict the TCP firewall action on the basis of the transmission characterisitics of the TCP model. The main idea is to study different features of a TCP transmission like Source Port, Destination Port, Elapsed Time (in seconds), NAT Source Port, NAT Destination Port. Based on the analysis performed on these features, the TCP firewall action will be classified into one of the four categories. These categories are: Allow, Deny, Drop, Reset-Both. In this project, nine different machine learning models have been trained using an available dataset. The dataset used has over 65000 rows, where each row represents a TCP transmission. Each TCP transmission has been described by around 11 different features. A few examples of machine learning models that have been used include: Decision Tree Classifier, Random Forest Classifier, XGBoost Model, and Gradient Boosting Model.

Medicinal plants have been a key component in producing traditional and modern medicines, especially in the field of Ayurveda, an ancient Indian medical system. Producing these medicines and collecting and extracting the right plant is a crucial step due to the visually similar nature of some plants. The extraction of these plants from non-medicinal plants requires human expert intervention. To solve the issue of accurate plant identification and reduce the need for a human expert in the collection process;employing computer vision methods will be efficient and beneficial. In this paper, we have proposed a model that solves such issues. The proposed model is a custom convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture with 6 convolution layers, max-pooling layers, and dense layers. The model was tested on three different datasets named Indian Medicinal Leaves Image Dataset, MED117 Medicinal Plant Leaf Dataset, and the self-curated dataset by the authors. The proposed model achieved respective accuracies of 99.5%, 98.4%, and 99.7% using various optimizers including Adam, RMSprop, and SGD with momentum.
