This article explores the consequences of AI-based service failures on consumers' negative word-of-mouth (NWOM) communication. Utilizing attribution theory, the study investigates how consumers' attributions of failure, including locus, stability, and controllability, influence their NWOM intentions, taking into account their trust in AI-based services. Through eight scenario experiments and questionnaires, the research unveils that internal attributions or attributions to high stability and controllability increase NWOM intention, with controllability having a stronger negative impact. Interactive effects between locus and stability/controllability are observed, mediated by trust in AI-based services. This study contributes to understanding consumer behavior in AI-based service environments, providing theoretical and practical insights for service providers to navigate the impact of AI-based service failures.

For a dual-channel supply chain constructed by a manufacturer and a retailer, the upstream and downstream members of the supply chain are in the condition of cost information asymmetry. In this paper, we explore whether investing in consortium blockchain technology can mitigate the effects of information asymmetry on the supply chain's overall performance. Three stackelberg game models are constructed to discuss the pricing strategies of supply chain members to deal with information asymmetry. The study's findings indicate that supply chain members deal with the impact of information asymmetry on sales volume by reducing prices. Consortium blockchain technology's input is advantageous to the supply chain's overall profit. When the level of consortium blockchain technology's input is low, the retailer should bear the entire cost of the consortium blockchain, conversely, the manufacturer and retailer should share the cost of the consortium blockchain technology. It is beneficial to consumers when input costs and input level of consortium blockchain are controlled within a certain range. For the strategy that the input costs of the consortium blockchain are split by the manufacturer and the retailer, the smaller the proportion of the manufacturer's share is, the more favorable it is to the total profit of the supply chain.

In e-commerce transactions, agent-based automated negotiation systems combine the advantages of artificial intelligence and bring great convenience to enterprises. However, few studies in agent-based model have considered the social characteristics of human interactions. In this paper, we propose a model with opponent's emotion and familiarity. Also use a capsule network to predict the type of an opponent based on bidding. We use opponent type, emotion, and familiarity as inputs to the improved TD3 to predict opponent' next round bidding. Through comparative experiments, our proposed model achieves better results in the transaction price, seller's utility, satisfaction, negotiation process and the negotiation rounds.

With the widespread use of information technology, such as big data and the Internet of Things, traditional companies generally show the strategic direction of platform transformation to create value. However, few studies have explored the challenging issue of how to achieve value co-creation in platform companies. This dual-case study constructs a framework that explores the value co-creation mechanism of platform companies based on the resource orchestration perspective. By dividing platform companies into two categories (organizational-oriented and individual-oriented), this study clarified the resource bases, resource orchestration actions, and advantage results of value co-creation in each type of platform companies. At the same time, we followed the logic of "elements-actions-results". Then two primary paths were advanced respectively trying to outline the realization mechanism of value co-creation in platform companies. This research contributes to revealing the "black box" of how to achieve value co-creation in platform companies theoretically and enriching the interpretation boundary of resource orchestration practically.

Blockchain traceability system can address the problem of information asymmetry, thereby influencing consumer purchasing decisions. However, its efficacy within the context of e-commerce platforms remains unclear. To address this issue, we analyzed the impact of blockchain traceability on product sales based on cue utilization theory and using a quasi-natural experiment on the JD Mall e-commerce platform. Empirical analyses show that blockchain traceability information not only promotes product sales growth, but also alleviates consumers' reliance on electronic word-of-mouth. In addition, products with lower brand reputation benefit more from implementing blockchain traceability information. The findings of this study help retailers recognise the potential and application conditions of blockchain traceability information, and provide management insights for e-commerce platforms to adopt blockchain traceability systems.

While social networking sites (SNSs) provide university students with more diverse channels for information transfer, they also pose certain risks to their personal information security. Previous studies suggested that users' information security behavior is an effective way to prevent information security risks. Based on Technology Threat Avoidance Theory (TTAT), this study constructs a model to explore the influencing factors of information security behaviors of university students in SNSs. Specifically, this study focuses on the moderating effect of disciplinary background in the proposed model. An empirical study was conducted to verify the model. Consistent to the previous literature, the results show that self-efficacy and response efficacy have positive effects on perceived avoidability;perceived threat and perceived avoidability have positive effect on information security behavior. Further, disciplinary backgrounds moderate the relationship between perceived threat and perceived avoidability on information security behavior. Specifically, perceived threat motivates students in soft disciplines to take information security behaviors more than it motivates students in hard disciplines, while perceived avoidability motivates students in hard disciplines to take information security behaviors more than it motivates students in soft disciplines. Based on this, we put forward the information security protection countermeasures.

Public policies use constructive ambiguity as a linguistic and diplomatic tool to manage the conflicting views of stakeholders and facilitate policy implementation in the presence of tensions. However, the ambiguity of policy content is a knowledge problem. It can lead to misunderstandings of its ends and means and may result in failed mitigation measures for societal crises. The business Motivation Model (BMM) combined with the UML attribute elements can solve this problem by structurally decomposing the policy content into a BMM representation. This representation is an epistemic artefact that generates metaknowledge about the policy by clarifying its intentions and conceptual structure, thus decreasing the likelihood of it being misunderstood. We present the case of the Aviation Chapter of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), where we clarify its prescriptions for the European Commission (EC), Member States, and aircraft operators using BMM concepts and relationships as deductive coding patterns. The artefact has undergone artificial empirical evaluation by expert opinion (n = 15). Possible use scenarios were discussed with enterprise modellers, climate policy researchers, and aircraft industry experts concerned with EU ETS enforcement, implementation, and auditing. The BMM representation presented advantages over the policy's textual form and improved the aviation industry experts' understanding of the Chapter. Future research could look into increasing the analytical capabilities of the notation to address the needs of policy researchers working with gap analyses and co-development of policy revisions with stakeholders. Other modelling and diagramming tools should be examined to enable model durability and robustness.

Nowadays, user review texts are the main source of product innovation demand for enterprises, but in the face of massive and unstructured user review texts, how to efficiently identify and visually express product innovation demand has become an urgent problem for enterprises. Although a series of studies have explored this issue, there is a lack of studies that cover the complete path of identifying, classifying, and visualising product innovation demand, and few studies have introduced reviews of competitive products for comparative analysis. Therefore, under the guidance of cognitive flexibility theory, this study firstly crawls the text data of user reviews of Huawei mate50 and Xiaomi 13, and then identifies the product innovation needs using BERT Fine-Tuning after data preprocessing;then the product innovation needs are clustered by themes using BERTopic, which classifies the themes into common and specific themes;finally, based on the theme clustering results, we use dependency parsing and association rules to construct a product innovation demand (comparison) graph under unique (shared) themes. The results of this research not only provide a new way of organising knowledge in the field of ill-structured knowledge, which is suitable for the development of cognitive flexibility theory in the era of big data, but also helps to guide enterprises to produce innovative products that really meet the needs of end-users, and promotes the transmutation of innovation from the production paradigm to the service paradigm in the era of knowledge economy.

Secure and agile development of operational technology (OT) and related software in industry is a crucial but challenging issue. Generally recognized standards such as IEC 62443-4-1 set up the requirements for cybersecurity processes for OT and software development. The main challenge of IEC 62443-4-1 resides in its adoption and implementation in practice, which originates from the standard's complexity. We propose three novel design principles and two subsequent design objectives to be prioritized for future design-research oriented work on standard-compliant DevSecOps. The design principles have been formed after six years of experience and observations in cybersecurity consulting in industry, documented here as a piece of action design research (ADR). As a case study, we describe instantiation of the design principles at Valmet Automation Systems, one of the earliest IEC 62443-4-1 -certified companies. The proposed design principles altogether suggest for the information-centric viewon the contextual adoption and use of the IEC 62443-4-1 standard in DevSecOps practices for OT.

Given the significant distribution disparity between normal and fraudulent transaction data in cryptocurrency samples, as well as the complex high-dimensional nature of transaction data with non-linear relationships, this study introduces an interpretable imbalanced data classification method for detecting cryptocurrency transaction fraud. We address data imbalance using SMOTE over-sampling and data augmentation through contrastive learning. Next, we introduce a Transformer-based deep learning model that learns sample relevance. The model undergoes pre-training with a contrastive loss and fine-tuning through Bayesian optimization to effectively extract high-dimensional, higher-order, and fraud-related features. We employ a SHAP-based interpreter along with attention scores to elucidate the role of various transaction features in fraud detection. Comparative results demonstrate the model's remarkable recall performance in identifying cryptocurrency transaction fraud. Furthermore, it achieves an excellent F1 value, striking a balance between accuracy and recall. Ablation experiments affirm the necessity of the proposed data balancing and pre-training-fine-tuning strategies, highlighting their effectiveness in addressing imbalanced data classification issues. This research not only enriches financial fraud detection but also enhances cryptocurrency transaction security, promotes market development, and contributes to economic stability and social security.
