Above and beyond Amazon's Alexa and Apple's Siri, which are prevalent in the home, in offices gen AI apps are gaining traction. Compared to keyboard, mouse, or touch, we argue that especially managers would benefit from voice-first assistants as they provide information faster than click-by-click navigation and minimize cognitive effort. This article presents a voice-first assistant that supports managers in navigating as naturally as possible in management reports. We opted for Design Science Research in information Systems as our research approach and chose an energy utility as our reference company. Combining findings from the human-computer interaction (HCI) literature with lessons learned from a design cycle in practice, we provide an IS architecture and five takeaways to drive future discussions. (1) Our research is grounded in theory by extending the knowledge about task-technology fit (TTF) theory from HCI literature with the topical use case of management reports. (2) We use a rigorous method mix that entails a case study and interviews within and beyond the reference company so that they are balanced and more widely applicable. (3) For practice, our artifact should assist companies in assessing voice-first use cases for managers more balanced - outweighing human, task, and IT criteria.

This study systematically examines the content and impact of digital government policies for supporting startups and entrepreneurs, addressing how these policies support and spur the growth of entrepreneurial organizations and innovations. Our analysis draws on one hand from published academic articles, topical reports, and on the other hand from case studies. Key findings indicate that digital government policies in this area constitute basic elements of wider policies that provide essential infrastructure, regulatory support, and financial incentives. For instance, Saudi Arabian startups raised $987 million in 2023, illustrating a robust investment climate facilitated by smart government policies. Similarly, Indian startups created over 269,000 jobs, highlighting the value of favorable policies. The study also analyzes the Greek government's Startup Greece Action Plan and EquiFund, which offer tax relief, grants, and digital skills development. However, our analysis has revealed challenges, such as resistance to change, cost issues, and digital inequalities. This study emphasizes the need for capacity building, public-private partnerships, and significant infrastructure investments to address these challenges. Future research should focus on the long-term effects of these policies and the role of new technologies like AI and Blockchain in enhancing digital government strategies.

In today's data-driven landscape, businesses increasingly rely on both data science and process science to enhance operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. However, a significant gap exists between these two disciplines, hindering the realization of their full potential synergy. This paper proposes a novel approach to bridge this gap through the integration of business analytics and process analytics within a Data Warehouse (DW) system. We present a metamodel, the business and Process Analytics Data Warehouse Meta-Model (B&PADWM), designed to optimize DWs for business and process analysis. This meta-model enables organizations to gain insights into both business performance and process efficiency simultaneously. By leveraging Object-Centric Event Logs (OCEL) derived from Process Mining, our approach facilitates a detailed understanding of business processes, allowing for the identification of bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Drawing from previous research in business process management and data analysis, we demonstrate the efficacy of our approach through a demonstration case study focused on order management processes.

This paper reviews the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in addressing the growing sophistication of cybersecurity threats. By evaluating numerous studies, we delineate the role of LLMs in improving the detection, analysis, and response to cyber threats in real-time. Our findings demonstrate that LLMs significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cybersecurity measures compared to traditional models. However, their deployment in cybersecurity frameworks involves critical considerations around ethics, privacy, and security. This review provides a succinct overview of LLMs' current capabilities and practical implementations within the cybersecurity landscape, identifies research gaps, and suggests future research directions. The insights presented here highlight the vital contribution of LLMs to the advancement of cybersecurity solutions and adapting to evolving threat environments.

As cybersecurity threats evolve daily, there is a pressing need for ongoing enhancements in the cybersecurity strategies of the organizations in order to keep up with these threats. Cybersecurity maturity models and frameworks are crucial tools used by organizations to assess their security readiness. Developed by various international entities, consultants, and researchers, these tools provide a strategic approach to managing information security risks and addressing potential breaches that threaten data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The NCSC's latest 2023 statistical review [1] reported a 64% increase in security incidents, totaling 2005 cases, indicating that current cybersecurity implementations are still lacking. This article aims to perform an in-depth comparative analysis of prevalent cybersecurity maturity models and frameworks to identify gaps, facilitate new academic research, and determine which aspects require further development or are already well-established.

Object positioning is an essential issue in the context of autonomous vehicles and AGVs in Industry 4.0 and smart cities. Based on the position, it is possible not only to track objects, but with appropriate positions' accuracy and frequency, it is possible to prevent dangerous situations. The information about the possibility of a dangerous situation must be available in advance so that the superior system, driver, or operator can take the appropriate action. A UWB is a promising technology for object positioning, even though UWB systems are used for positioning objects in a limited area, mostly indoors. Nothing stands in the way of creating many small areas in high-risk areas, e.g. intersections and manoeuvring yards. This ultra-wideband technology allows to objects positioning with high accuracy of a few centimeters. However, the accuracy of this system depends on the speed of movement of the positioned objects and the ranging frequency to individual stationary reference nodes - anchors. Therefore, it is important to exchange messages in the network of UWB nodes during ranging runs as quickly as possible. This article analyses the modified UWB positioning system, which maximizes the frequency of acquiring the distance between nodes and, thus the frequency of determining the object's positions.

In this study, we propose a novel framework for time series forecasting that combines the principles of diffusion models with traditional neural architectures to enhance predictive accuracy. Our method begins by introducing controlled Gaussian noise to an input time series, which is subsequently denoised through an iterative reverse diffusion process. This process yields a denoised version of the input sequence, which is then combined with the original sequence. The combined sequence is fed into different traditional architectures to predict future values. We argue that this hybrid approach offers more accurate forecasts compared to using the corresponding traditional neural architecture alone.

The paper presents a preliminary study on behavioral aspects of information security. Basing on the relevant literature it proposes a causal path model with information Security Success Perception as a focal dependent variable. It introduces modifications to the model presented within the literature, introducing the Uncertainty Avoidance - an additional predictor expressing the degree to which individuals avoid ambiguity and uncertainty as well as the Response Cost - an additional mediator expressing negative aspects of information security compliance. The model is validated (using PLS path modeling) on the chain-referral sample of 35 respondents and expresses sufficient validity and reliability. The study results indicate the need for a more insightful investigation of the factors that determine the role of Response Cost in information Security Success Perception. The study is a starting point for an extended research based on significantly bigger data samples.

The need for professional development via MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) has been increasing lately, especially during the pandemic crisis. This paper is a case study on MOOC adoption by professionals and seeks to understand the predictive power of a specific technology acceptance model. The proposed model was developed by extending the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). UTAUT was extended by specifying two facilitating conditions related to the nature of online learning and adding two extra moderation mechanisms. A survey that was using the ensuing framework was answered by 253 participants who were professionals attending a MOOC. The research findings show that users' behavioral intention to attend MOOC is influenced mainly by Effort Expectancy and Facilitating conditions, where the emphasis is on Time Flexibility and Continuous Availability (i.e. the two newly introduced parameters related to the nature of online learning). Performance Expectancy and Social Influence were found to have less significant influence on MOOC usage intention. The effect of Social Perceptiveness and Group Work Effectiveness (i.e. the two newly introduced parameters) were also analyzed. Results show that Social Perceptiveness has a moderating effect on the relationship between Social Influence and Behavioral Intention to attend the MOOC, while Group Work Effectiveness has an effect on the relationship between Effort Expectancy and Behavioral Intention. The paper concludes with theoretical and practical implications touching the proposed extended technology acceptance model as well as guidelines targeting the acceptance of MOOCs for professional learning, respectively.

Sustainability became imperative in education, where the United Nations proposed several goals towards sustainability in education and beyond. Transformative change in education is required to overcome the challenges due to the global changes and crises. This transformative trajectory creates opportunities for innovation to fulfil sustainability goals. In this context, AI agents emerge as a significant tool. However, a gap exists in understanding the impact of AI agents' usage for sustainability in education. The aim of this paper is to solicit Higher Education Institutions' stakeholders' behavioral intention towards the use of AI agents at the Lebanese universities. Our research identified several factors affecting behavioral intention including concerns about security and privacy issues, (mis)trust in technology, individualized education, perception of equality and fairness, fear of technological advancements, collaborative learning, and learning motivation. We conclude our study by proposing an extension of the UTAUT model, along with implications, limitations, and future research.
