Distance learning is an area in progress that continues to evolve with further research. In this context, a big attention is given by researchers, developers and educators to the collaborative learning through Learning Management Systems (LMS), especially through learning environments and social networking. However, since collaboration and interaction is mostly based on text and photos, the form and effect of collaboration and interaction is relatively simple and limited. In this paper, we propose a general model for collaborative learning processes. And we focus on a part of our process, namely sub-process "produce", to show the aspect of asynchronous but also synchronous collaboration that it enables. The proposed process is modeled with the BPMN notation and implemented through Bonita's BPMS for future management of this process.

As with ICTs today, firms are increasingly recognizing the importance of e-learning technology to train their staff and develop the necessary skills. It is therefore appropriate to consider the conditions for the success of e-learning in the organizational context, particularly from a knowledge transfer perspective. Drawing on knowledge transfer and organizational learning theories, and building on the results of an exploratory study, we propose a conceptual model that describes the determinants and consequences of e-learner satisfaction in terms of tacit knowledge transfer. An empirical investigation using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method was conducted to assess the theoretical model built.

FinTech, the phenomenon which spans over the areas of information technologies and financial innovation, is currently on the rise and is gaining more and more attention from practitioners, investors and researchers. FinTech is broadly discussed by the media, which constitutes its understanding and represents social opinion, however, this perception of FinTech should be supported by empirical evidences. Therefore, we examine five Swiss FinTech companies through the lens of the conceptual framework of understanding of FinTech and its dimensions and, by doing so, analyze the nature of FinTech innovations. Thereby, we extend the understanding of FinTech and provide a fruitful soil for further research in this area.

An innovation that is substantial enough to change the enterprise architecture poses a problem for a system architect. Enterprise architecture modeling methods and tools do not support the distinction between the As-Is architecture and the To-Be architecture in one view model. Recognizing the changes becomes similar to a game of "finding changes in two drawings". As the size of architectures and number of architectural view pairs grows, the changes can be overlooked. In order to support the recognizing of changes by the implementation teams, the changes need specific visualization means. In this paper, we use the modern cases of transformation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems to the Best of Breed solutions and an architecture modeling language ArchiMate to propose a framework for visualization of changes. The framework includes a new abstraction called "Gap of Changes", artifacts, principles and means for visualization. The new abstraction is defined on a metamodel that makes it reusable in different enterprise and software architecture description languages. The framework is tested with real cases of changes of ERP using the Best of Breed strategy.

business processes can be assessed by checking transaction documents for inconsistency risks and can be classified into two categories. Inconsistency refers to a mismatch between items (product name, quantity, unit price, amount price, etc.) among transaction documents. For any process in the first category, the consistency of any pair of transaction documents in the process is checked, and there is no risk of inconsistency. For any process in the second category, the consistency of some pairs of transaction documents in the process cannot be checked, and there is a risk of inconsistency. This paper proposes a method and a tool for the assessment of risk inconsistencies. The assessment can be used to design and evaluate business processes for a company's internal control over financial reporting. A business process diagram and inconsistency risk detection algorithm for classifying business processes is provided. A BPA-tool (business Process Assessment tool) is also presented.

information and communication technologies (ICTs) can enhance the knowledge sharing by lowering temporal and spatial barriers between prosumers and enterprises, and improving access to prosumers' knowledge for enterprises. A major challenge for enterprises involves investing in the appropriate ICTs that help facilitate prosumers' knowledge engagement and knowledge transfer. The purpose of the paper is to indicate which ICTs are currently used and expected to be used to enable knowledge sharing by Polish and UK-based prosumers. The reported outcomes are the result of a questionnaire survey that yielded responses from 783 Polish and 171 UK-based prosumers. The results indicate the primary ICTs choices for use and expected use by Poland and UK-based prosumers and reveals important differences between these countries. The mobile applications being favored amongst the UK respondents whereas the dedicated enterprise website is the favored ICT amongst Polish respondents. The results explore the choice and variety of ICTs available for prosumers that may be overlooked by enterprises as trends change. The variety of ICTs provided by enterprises may be too limiting to promote the type of knowledge sharing and communications expected to reassure the prosumers, and the ICT trends and customer culture have an affect the choice of ICT uptake for knowledge sharing with enterprises.

This paper proposes an approach for modeling and analyzing strategic complementarity in software businesses. The primary research objective is to develop an approach for representing and reasoning about synergistic value creation in software enterprises and ecosystems. This agenda is based on the increasing importance of complementarity as a concern within software organizations and their networks. It recognizes the prevalence of coopetition, as a common practice, in the software industry where businesses cooperate and compete simultaneously in open source communities, standards-setting bodies, and software ecosystems. It focuses on complementarity since it is a critical motivator for coopetition among software businesses. This study offers an approach for comparing alternate combinations of software products for assessing their abilities for synergy creation with reference to the concept of added value. It evaluates the sufficiency of this approach by applying it to an industrial case study from management literature. It also identifies a direction for future research for this line of inquiry.

One of the challenges envisioned for eGovernment is how to actively involve citizens in the improvement of public services, allowing governments to offer better services. However, citizen involvement in public service design through ICT is not an easy goal. Services have been deployed internally in public organizations, making it difficult to be leveraged by citizens, specifically those without an IT background. This research moves towards decreasing the gap between public services process opacity and complexity and citizens' lack of interest or competencies to understand them. The paper discusses game design as an approach to motivate, engage and change citizens' behavior with respect to public services improvement. The design of a sample serious game is proposed;benefits and challenges are discussed using a public service delivery scenario from Brazil.

Considerable progress regarding impact factors of process model understandability has been achieved. For example, it has been shown that layout features of process models have an effect on model understandability. Even so, it appears that our knowledge about the modeler's behavior regarding the layout of a model is very limited. In particular, research focuses on the end product or the outcome of the process modeling act rather than the act itself. This paper extends existing research by opening this black box and introducing an enhanced technique enabling the visual analysis of the modeler's behavior towards layout. We demonstrate examples showing that our approach provides valuable insights to better understand and support the creation of process models. Additionally, we sketch challenges impeding this support for future research.

Collective decision processes remain a common management approach in most organizations. In such processes, it seems important to offer participants the opportunity to confront the differences in their points of view. To this end, cognitive and technical tools are required that facilitate the sharing of individuals' reasoning and preferences, but at the same time allow them to keep some information and attitudes to themselves. The aim of our study is to assess whether, in the multi-criteria approach to problem structuring, decision-makers can be comfortable using shared criteria in addition to private criteria. For this purpose, an exploratory experiment with student subjects was conducted using the Group Decision Support System, GRUS.
