In the face of the severe threat posed by phishing to information security, the role of security warnings has received a lot of attention. Existing studies on the effects of security warnings on users' ability to identify phishing have yet to reached a unified conclusion, while the cognitive neural changes behind the phenomenon need to be further explored. In this study, we utilized functional near-infrared technology to investigate the effects of security warnings on users' functional brain connectivity for identifying phishing. It was found that the security warning did not significantly affect users' functional connectivity in the prefrontal lobe but significantly reduced the functional connectivity of the right temporoparietal lobe and between the right middle temporal gyrus and the left superior frontal gyrus in women. The possible explanation is that although the security warning reduced users' trust in phishing emails, it is difficult to affect users' cognitive abilities because trust and cognition do not constantly interact, resulting in a lack of improvement in users' ability to recognize phishing. Expanding the research on the functional brain connectivity mechanisms by which security warnings affect users' recognition of phishing from the cognitive neuroscience perspective can help improve phishing security intervention strategies.

Organisational rules, both created internally and externally mandated, are vital to an enterprise. Yet, understanding and managing these rules is problematic, as they are a part of a complex system. Thus, there is a need to view them in a complex setting of organisational actors and interactions. It has been suggested that enterprises, particularly in situations like collaboration in healthcare, should be analysed as complex adaptive systems (CAS). However, only some enterprise modelling contributions can represent perspectives of CAS theory. In this paper, we set out to examine how organisational rules in complex adaptive systems has been modelled. A systematic mapping study was conducted on modelling languages of organisational rules in collaborations, resulting in 22 identified languages. The constructs and modelling patterns of the identified languages were mapped against an analytical framework that included 15 concepts from CAS theory. Overall, even though most CAS concepts had yet to be addressed by the identified languages, potentially useful approaches were found, related to: abstraction of large organisational rule systems through power relations;interpretation and implementation of rules;feedback loops to rule-makers, including delays.

Manual business Process Modeling can be a time-consuming and error-prone process, resulting in low-quality models. Therefore, various approaches have been proposed in research and practice to partially or fully automate the creation of business process models. We conducted a systematic literature review (LR) on automatic generation of business process models. The LR demonstrates that there exist various approaches for automated generation of business process models, which differ in terms of the input data, generation methods, and modeling languages utilized. Despite active research into automatic model generation, there is still considerable scope for improvement. New technologies are continually being developed to support automatic model generation. Additionally, the increasing digitalization of processes and organizations generates vast amounts of data that can be harnessed for modeling.

Large Language Models (LLMs) are capable of answering questions in natural language for various purposes. With recent advancements (such as GPT-4), LLMs perform at a level comparable to humans for many proficient tasks. The analysis of business processes could benefit from a natural process querying language and using the domain knowledge on which LLMs have been trained. However, it is impossible to provide a complete database or event log as an input prompt due to size constraints. In this paper, we apply LLMs in the context of process mining by i) abstracting the information of standard process mining artifacts and ii) describing the prompting strategies. We implement the proposed abstraction techniques into pm4py, an open-source process mining library. We present a case study using available event logs. Starting from different abstractions and analysis questions, we formulate prompts and evaluate the quality of the answers.

Innovation with emerging technologies is often challenging. They are still evolving and many are surrounded by unbalanced claims and hyperbole, which give rise to ambiguity and complicate adoption. These difficulties become even more pronounced when organizations attempt to introduce two loosely coupled emerging technologies. Building on a six-year case-study of the European Blockchain Partnership that attempted to simultaneously introduce blockchain and digital identity wallets, we flesh out the evolution their relationship. Our analysis surfaces a complex material-discursive process that first only discursively and later also materially de-coupled the two technologies along three population ecology principles for species interaction: technological mutualism, technological commensalism, and technological amensalism. Our study contributes an information systems perspective on the enactment and evolution of loosely coupled emerging technologies. Moreover, we use insights from population ecology to better explain and understand the underlying mechanisms.

The concept of Digital Twin (DT) has gained popularity as a digital representation of physical entities that interact with their realworld counterparts in (near) real-time through sensors and actuators. DTs can be applied across different sectors, offering benefits like simulation, remote monitoring, and predictive maintenance, which are relevant capabilities of smart systems. However, achieving the full potential of DTs requires addressing interoperability challenges posed by the complex networks of devices and systems that play different roles in DTs. This paper presents a research agenda aimed at enhancing DT interoperability grounded in four perspectives, which reflect knowledge fields in computer/information science, i.e., architecture of distributed systems, model-based system engineering, ontology-driven conceptual modeling, and linked data with semantic web. This paper highlights how leveraging on existing standards, such as modelling languages and ontologies, is important for improved DT interoperability. This becomes increasingly relevant for driving research directions related to ongoing initiatives such as the International Data Spaces and the Digital Product Passport.

In recent years, the phenomenon of mystery boxes has emerged as a notable consumption trend, demonstrating substantial market potential and cultivating a base of highly engaged enthusiasts. However, the repurchase rate of mystery boxes is declining year by year, making it important to identify factors that influence customers repurchase intention. Based on survey data from 230 questionnaires, this paper conducts an empirical study using a structural equation model to explore the impact of the four dimensions of customer experience: aesthetic experience, symbolic experience, emotional experience and social experience as well as the promotion focus in customer personality through the mediating role of customer perceived value and customer satisfaction on repurchase intention. The results show that the symbolic experience, emotional experience, social experience and promotion focus all have significant positive impact on consumer repurchase intention through the mediation of perceived value and customer satisfaction, while the aesthetic experience does not have a significant impact on repurchase intention. The conclusion of the study is of great theoretical and practical significance for mystery boxes enterprises to carry out accurate marketing strategies according to the characteristics of young consumers and improve the repurchase rate of loyal consumers.

In the dynamic Industry 4.0 landscape, organizations aim to enhance economic performance and sustainability. businessModel Innovation (BMI) plays a vital role, enabling firms to integrate disruptive technologies and maintain competitiveness. However, current BMI research mostly focuses on static business Models (BMs), neglecting the dynamic interactions between BMs components. However, dynamic BM analysis is critical in the era of Industry 4.0 as it is a valuable decision-making tool supporting strategic planning in complex BMs. In this work, we propose a novel approach to conceptualize dynamic BM scenarios through ametamodel. Then, we present a model to demonstrate the use of our approach in the context of Industry 4.0. Finally, we discuss the practical implications that our proposal has on equipping firms with mechanisms to foster innovation and adaptability and respond to market volatility and competition.

In-house procurement is a controversial issue in the field of public procurement. Simply put, such procurement allows overlooking certain aspects of fair and equal treatment of vendors. This paper presents qualitative research on in-house ICT procurement within Finnish municipalities. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to gather insights from municipal stakeholders. Using grounded theory approach, data analysis shows intricate dynamics between Finnish municipalities and in-house entities associated with them. Still, it is clear that the legal framework governing in-house procurement remains intricate and debated.
