We present how Web standards and technologies can implement traceability in business rules. This enhances transparency of business systems with facilitated integration of system components and data. Such traceability provides end-users access to source documents describing rules and facts that apply to users. This helps both users and developers ensure that how systems work aligns with documentation they derive from. Important features of Web standards include, links to document fragments, and links from not just concepts but assertions about them. In addition, a shared identifier infrastructure enables the integration of these functions of the document and Semantic Webs. We investigate how and to what degree conforming tools for existing standards can implement this communication between these layers. Analysis of how these standards and their applied components work here provides insight into what traceable business rule implementation requires in general. Our approach is to implement an illustrative scenario with standards to demonstrate their utility and provide insights into the issues involved. This scenario comes from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which related work often uses in examples of business rule implementation.

In this paper, we evaluate the Lbl2Vec approach for unsupervised text document classification. Lbl2Vec requires only a small number of keywords describing the respective classes to create semantic label representations. For classification, Lbl2Vec uses cosine similarities between label and document representations, but no annotation information. We show that Lbl2Vec significantly outperforms common unsupervised text classification approaches and a widely used zero-shot text classification approach. Furthermore, we show that using more precise keywords can significantly improve the classification results of similarity-based text classification approaches.

Modern businesses are being subjected to an unprecedented variety of change drivers that cannot be predicted such as new regulations, emerging business models, and changing needs of stakeholders. This creates new demands on enterprises to meet stated goals in a dynamic and uncertain environment that translate to demands on the enterprise's software systems. In our earlier work, we proposed an architecture for dynamic adaptation under uncertainty. In this paper, we provide validation of our adaptation architecture through a case study of a wellness ecosystem comprising multiple stakeholders with evolving goals and behavior that need to be continuously learnt and adapted. We present experimentation results from our case study that serve as an initial step towards validating our approach.

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are considered as an important tool in Industry 4.0. They provide companies with advantages and benefits by enabling the interconnection of machines and physical devices to digital systems, allowing a real-time data-driven decision-making process. However, for the CPS to be able to support decision-making within the production process of manufacturing companies, a set of technological components need to be implemented and integrated. This paper aims to identify those components by conducting an academic literature review that also allows to understand the use of intelligent CPS in the industry. From the identification of the components, a model for an CPS architecture is proposed. The aim of the model is helping companies be prepared and informed about the layers and components that need to be considered when adopting and implementing a CPS.

Predictive monitoring techniques increasingly contain explainability aspects to instill trust in the end-users. However, it currently remains difficult to clearly communicate to the end-user how and why a certain outcome is obtained in a knowledge-intensive process. One improvement is the representation of decisions using executable Decision Model and Notation (DMN) models. These allow to automatically construct an intelligent assistant that reasons directly with any DMN model to provide such explanations. This paper examines the added value of a generic intelligent assistant, based on a DMN model of a decision. A preliminary experiment was conducted using two different explanation sources (text and intelligent assistant) to evaluate the explanation facilities of an automated DMN intelligent assistant. The first findings from this ongoing research provide insights into how organizations could easily provide stakeholders with explainable decisions in processes.

As online video has gradually become the main channel for information dissemination and marketing advertising, it is necessary to determine which factors will affect the diffusion of video on the website further. The research goal of this paper is to explore what kind of title can help online videos attract more views. The research takes 49989 videos in bilibili as the research object, analyzes the relationship between the emotional polarity expressed in the title text and the number of views the video gets, and explores the role of personal pronouns play in the relationship. The results show that no matter whether the video titles contain positive or negative emotions, the video titles with higher polarity of these emotions can get more attention. In addition, those video titles that use personal pronouns also get more attention. Simultaneously, the use of personal pronouns moderates the impact of title's sentiment polarity. The conclusion provides guidance for video publishers who produce content and helps them get more attention.

The calculation and analysis of process performance indicators (PPIs) and, in particular, the customized performance measures defined to measure a specific process domain, provide insight into whether a business process's results align with the strategic objectives within an organization. These measures and PPIs can be calculated using process execution data. This data is traditionally structured in such a way that for each process instance (case), there is a case notion (object), for example, the order in a purchasing process. Recently, the object-centric approach introduced the multiple case notion, i.e., the idea that several objects can be associated in the execution of tasks of one or several process instances, which better reflects what happens in reality. However, this approach generates more complex event logs that include data involving interacting instances and complex data dependencies. These changes impact the types of PPIs that can be defined and should therefore be analyzed in detail from a different perspective than the traditional one. In this paper, we focus on the PPI modeling area. In particular, we aim at extending the classical definition of PPIs for an object-centric context. For this purpose, we analyze how different customized performance measures are defined in the traditional context and identify a set of requirements to define those measures in an object-centric context. In addition, we propose to extend the established PPINOT metamodel, focused on the definition of PPIs, to integrate the identified requirements, thus laying the groundwork for the automatic calculation of such PPIs.

Many enterprise architecture (EA) projects face severe challenges and risks and may even fail. Although the problems are well-known and identified in the literature, the projects keep struggling. It is thus reasonable to ask why they cannot exploit earlier experiences. In this paper, we try to find reasons for these issues by conducting a comparative case study of twelve public sector EA projects in Finland. By using the earlier identified obstacles, risks, and critical success factors as a lens, we show, through participatory observations of the cases, that the problems emerge very differently in different projects, contexts, and the moments of time. This contextuality and temporality necessitates different coping mechanisms as each case is unique and make learning and the application of earlier experiences and practices difficult. We argue that the problems with contextuality and temporality and their inadequate consideration are the main reasons for often failing EA projects.

The Influence of Benefit Appeals in CSR Communication on Consumers' Willingness to Co-creation 1

Based on the background of corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication, this study aims to explore the role of different types of CSR interest appeal information (self-benefit vs. others-benefit) in CSR communication of different consumers on social media, and mainly discuss consumers' willingness to participate in CSR co-creation. A total of 288 valid questionnaires were obtained through an online experiment. The moderating effect of consumer values was verified by "floodlight" analysis and the moderated mediating effect of consumer trust was verified by the Process program. Self-enhancement values have a congruent effect with CSR communication benefit appeals. Specifically, benefit appeals characterized by self-benefit generate higher consumer trust and willingness to co-create value among individuals with high self-enhancement values (vs. low self-enhancement values). CSR credibility and brand trust have a continuous mediating effect in the interaction between self-enhancement values and benefits appeals, while the interaction between self-transcendence values and benefits appeals is not significant. Understanding how consumer values influence consumer responses to CSR social media posts with different interest claims can provide marketers with useful guidance on how to creatively segment customers and curate appropriately targeted messages to effectively connect with consumers on CSR campaigns.

The exchange of information is an essential means for being able to conduct negotiations and to derive situational decisions. In electronic negotiations, information is transferred via the communication channel in the form of requests, offers, questions, and clarifications. Taken together, such information makes or breaks the negotiation. Whilst information analysis has traditionally been conducted through human coding, machine learning techniques nowenable automated analyses. One of the grand challenges of e-negotiation research is the generation of future-oriented predictions whether ongoing negotiations will be accepted or rejected at the end of the negotiation process by considering the previous negotiation course. With this goal in mind, the present research paper investigates how predictive machine learning models react to the successive increase of negotiation data. information in different data combinations is used for the evaluation of classification techniques to simulate the progress in negotiation processes and to investigate the impact of utility and communication data. It will be shown that the more information the merrier does not always hold. Instead, data-driven ML model recommendations are presented as to when and based on which data density certain models should or should not use for the analysis of electronic negotiations.
