This paper proposes a combined model based on DPMM (Dirichlet Process Mixture Model) and IForest (Isolation Forest), providing an effective solution to address the challenges of cold start and customer drift in credit risk management. Focusing on the scenario of a large amount of unlabeled data in credit risk management, the approach initially employs DPMM to cluster a small number of labeled normal and default samples. By calculating the Euclidean distance between unlabeled samples and each cluster, the model obtains a default similarity score for the unlabeled samples. Subsequently, considering the imbalance in sample distribution, the IForest algorithm constructs multiple random isolation trees to identify anomalies in the dataset, calculating the anomaly score as a measure of default abnormality. Finally, a weighted combination of the default similarity and anomaly scores from the two models is used for classification of unlabeled samples. Simulation experiments on the German credit risk dataset, with IForest model and self-training model as two control groups, demonstrate that the combined model exhibits superior predictive performance, particularly in scenarios with a low proportion of default samples, effectively mitigating the challenges associated with the cold start problem.

E-commerce poverty alleviation is an effective way to achieve accurate poverty alleviation and has become a research hotspot in recent years. To comprehensively understand the e-commerce poverty alleviation research topics and frontier evolution trends, this paper applied Citespace to visualize and analyze relevant core journal articles in the Web of Science (WOS) and China Knowledge Network (CNKI). Based on the existing research results, this paper constructed an integrated analytical framework to analyze the specific content of the research topics on e-commerce poverty alleviation from research on the effects of e-commerce poverty alleviation policies, research on e-commerce poverty alleviation modes and influencing factors, and research on the effects of e-commerce poverty alleviation. Finally, this paper proposed that future research can be further explored and analyzed in research on the integration of live streaming and e-commerce poverty alleviation, research on corporate social responsibility in e-commerce poverty alleviation, and research on e-commerce poverty alleviation model optimization.

Many contemporary organizations deal with different types of business processes, including less-structured business processes (LSBP). The latter are characterized by more unpredictable situations, ad-hoc tasks, limited process details, and a stronger emphasis on the human aspects as compared to the more structured business processes (SBP). However, existing BPM approaches often encounter challenges when driving innovation within organizations that have LSBP characteristics. To address this issue, organizations still lack a measurement tool to assess their process innovation capability (PIC) that is tailored towards LSBP (as opposed to generic BPM measurement instruments). Our study fills this gap by gradually building and testing a PIC-LSBP measurement instrument. We rely on empirical data from an international Delphi study, followed by a demonstration in two real-life organizations (i.e., one manufacturing organization in Asia and one service organization in Europe). The study aims at showing the practical application of the uncovered measurement instrument, seeking to identify and effectively address process innovation in more dynamic and complex business environments. The resulting instrument consists of six main capability areas, 18 sub-areas, and 55 formative measurement items. The findings highlight the significance of leveraging an instrument as a means to assess an organization's current innovation capability with respect to a specific process type. Based on this insight, our research contributes to a broader understanding of how organizations can assess their existing process situation and derive action plans.

Object-centric processes have become increasingly popular in the last years mainly due to the establishment of object-centric process mining. One of the most popular formalisms for describing lifecycles of objects and capturing relationships between them are object-centric Petri nets. An important feature of such nets is the ability to transfer an arbitrary number of same-typed objects upon transition firing by means of so-called variable arcs. In this work, we generalise the concept of variable arcs by introducing a fairly simple and versatile mechanism of arc weight parameterization via linear combinations of type-dependent weight variables, and incorporating it into the new formalism of typed Petri nets with variable arc weights. Moreover, we demonstrate that such extended variable arcs can be effectively eliminated, making the resulting net model expressively equivalent to a classical P/T-net. This result allows a natural transfer of analytical techniques available for P/T-nets to the formalisms like object-centric Petri nets.

Based on the severe situation of population aging and the requirements for high-quality economic development in China, this paper applies provincial panel data from 2012 to 2021, and uses Lasso and Elastic Net feature selection algorithms to select the variables affecting high-quality economic development. Additionally, this paper measures an indicator of high-quality economic development by entropy method, and empirically tests the impact of population aging on high quality economic development. The results show that, the level of high-quality economic development has declined in time, and the regional heterogeneity has decreased spatially. Through the application of Lasso and Elastic Net regression models for variable selection, the accuracy of measuring an indicator of high-quality economic development is effectively improved, which makes the research results more interpretable. Empirically, this paper finds a significant negative impact of population aging on high-quality economic development, hindering China's progress in this regard. Therefore, China should actively address the issue of population aging to promote high-quality economic development.

With the steadily increasing amount of software in modern cars, traditional electric/electronic (E/E) architectures reach their limit when it comes to deploying complex applications, which often require the integration of various sensors, processing units, and software components, as well as higher bandwidth and processing power. To cope with this issue, more powerful computing platforms are being employed. One of the many new software projects that try to solve the challenges associated with these new platforms is Chariott, which provides a metadatadriven communication middleware that fosters the communication of distributed in-car applications through a common interface. Software components can register with Chariott to advertise their functionality. Software components that are registered with Chariott, referred to as providers, can then be found via service discovery. Alternatively, Chariott offers an intent-based approach where a broker maintains a mapping of intents and providers that can fulfill requests for these intents. Contrary to interfaces that define required implementation details, intents capture only the high-level purpose of a request as well as the required data. In this demo paper, we present our massage seat use case that was specifically designed to evaluate the suitability of Chariott for distributed in-car applications as well as our evaluation results.

Leveraging insights from Adaptive Structuration Theory and Structural Hole Theory, this study elaborates on the relationship between task diversity and system complexity, and new user behavior across different implementation phases of digital transformation in manufacturing enterprises. This study elaborates on the relationship between task diversity and system complexity, and new user behavior across different implementation phases of digital transformation in manufacturing enterprises. It particularly examines the moderating effect of structural holes in various stages on the relationship between task diversity, system complexity, and new user behavior. The analysis is based on 1,370,389 usage log data collected over six years from a typical domestic manufacturing enterprise undergoing digital transformation. The findings indicate that in the initial rapid response phase, high task diversity and system complexity inhibit new user behavior, with task network structural holes intensifying this negative impact. In the early stable adjustment phase, increased task diversity shifts to facilitate new user behavior, while high system complexity continues to restrain user usage. In the later stages, high task diversity positively affects new user behavior, with task network structural holes playing a positive moderating role, and the adverse effect of high system complexity on new user usage diminishes.

Process mining utilizes process execution data to discover and analyse business processes. Event logs represent process execution data, providing information about activities executed in a process instance. In addition to generic event attributes like activity and timestamp, events might contain domain-specific attributes, such as a blood sugar measurement in a healthcare environment. Many of these values change during a typical process quite frequently. Hence, we refer to those as dynamic event attributes. Change patterns can be derived from dynamic event attributes, describing if the attribute values change from one activity to another. However, change patterns can only be identified in an isolated manner, neglecting the chance of finding co-occuring change patterns. This paper provides an approach to identify relationships between change patterns. We applied the proposed technique on the MIMIC-IV real-world dataset on hospitalizations in the US and evaluated the results with a medical expert. The approach is implemented in Python using the PM4Py framework.

Building permits (BP) are authorizations required to start the construction of building projects and granted by public authorities. BPs are still mostly processed manually, which presents drawbacks (e.g. subjective interpretation of regulations, long processing times). The digitalization of the BP process is promising towards the digital transformation of public administration and the sector of Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC). However, current Digital Building Permit (DBP) solutions aiming to automate this process are usually partial, tailored-made or tool-specific, which hinders their applicability, extensibility, interoperability and portability. This paper presents an open and standards-based approach for the DBP in Montevideo, which comprises a compliance life cycle and a DBP platform. The approach leverages Building information Modeling (BIM), is based on open standards and technologies, and aims to be extensible regarding regulations, types of buildings, and geographic locations. The approach also encompasses interdisciplinary work between teams with DBP-related skills (e.g. AEC, BIM, software engineering) and coming from different sectors (i.e. public administration, academia, software and AEC industries). The proposal was assessed by a prototype, functional/non-functional assessments, and validation activities with end-users. Results confirmed the feasibility and suitability of our approach, and let foresee its benefits and challenges.

In this paper we propose a novel approach to process alignment which leverages on contextual information captured by way of responsibilities. On the one hand, responsibilities may justify deviations. In these cases, we consider deviations as correct behaviors rather than errors. On the other hand, responsibilities can either be met or neglected in the execution trace. Thus, we prefer alignments where neglected responsibilities are minimized. The paper proposes a formal framework for responsibilities in a process model, including the definition of cost functions to determine optimal alignments. It also outlines a branch-and-bound algorithm for their computation.
