Compliance checking is the operation that consists of assessing whether every execution trace of a business process satisfies a given correctness condition. The paper introduces the notion of hyperquery, which is a calculation that involves multiple traces from a log at the same time. A particular case of hyperquery is a hypercompliance condition, which is a correctness requirement that involves the whole log instead of individual process instances. A formalization of hyperqueries is presented, along with a number of elementary operations to express hyperqueries on arbitrary logs. An implementation of these concepts in an event stream processing engine allows users to concretely evaluate hyperqueries in real time.

This article proposes a software architecture for object detection in video materials, integrating advanced object recognition through the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and the capabilities of an object detection algorithm employing color characteristics. The proposed algorithm significantly enhances the accuracy and efficiency of detection, enabling better adaptation to varying lighting conditions and a diversity of objects. The article highlights how the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning can enrich the analysis of video data, offering new possibilities for application in various domains.

Leveraging insights from Adaptive Structuration Theory and Structural Hole Theory, this study elaborates on the relationship between task diversity and system complexity, and new user behavior across different implementation phases of digital transformation in manufacturing enterprises. This study elaborates on the relationship between task diversity and system complexity, and new user behavior across different implementation phases of digital transformation in manufacturing enterprises. It particularly examines the moderating effect of structural holes in various stages on the relationship between task diversity, system complexity, and new user behavior. The analysis is based on 1,370,389 usage log data collected over six years from a typical domestic manufacturing enterprise undergoing digital transformation. The findings indicate that in the initial rapid response phase, high task diversity and system complexity inhibit new user behavior, with task network structural holes intensifying this negative impact. In the early stable adjustment phase, increased task diversity shifts to facilitate new user behavior, while high system complexity continues to restrain user usage. In the later stages, high task diversity positively affects new user behavior, with task network structural holes playing a positive moderating role, and the adverse effect of high system complexity on new user usage diminishes.

With the steadily increasing amount of software in modern cars, traditional electric/electronic (E/E) architectures reach their limit when it comes to deploying complex applications, which often require the integration of various sensors, processing units, and software components, as well as higher bandwidth and processing power. To cope with this issue, more powerful computing platforms are being employed. One of the many new software projects that try to solve the challenges associated with these new platforms is Chariott, which provides a metadatadriven communication middleware that fosters the communication of distributed in-car applications through a common interface. Software components can register with Chariott to advertise their functionality. Software components that are registered with Chariott, referred to as providers, can then be found via service discovery. Alternatively, Chariott offers an intent-based approach where a broker maintains a mapping of intents and providers that can fulfill requests for these intents. Contrary to interfaces that define required implementation details, intents capture only the high-level purpose of a request as well as the required data. In this demo paper, we present our massage seat use case that was specifically designed to evaluate the suitability of Chariott for distributed in-car applications as well as our evaluation results.

The article deals with the problem of geolocation concerning the logistics that have changed the way in which deliveries are made. The core idea is to reveal the current challenges in the field of delivery logistics. The present study is focused on the analysis of the accuracy of the Google Maps Directions API in Bulgaria and the challenges faced by logistics operators due to the insufficient accuracy of geolocation data. As the logistics infrastructure plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of companies, the accuracy of geolocation data plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of deliveries. By analyzing real cases and data, system performance is investigated and challenges arising in real delivery scenarios are identified. The results of the study highlight the importance of geolocation data accuracy to improve operational efficiency and optimize logistics processes in Bulgaria. To cope with such challenges, a generalized approach to improve the accuracy and efficiency of geolocation delivery systems is proposed. This approach is composed of 4 modules where the machine learning module is used to improve the accuracy. The proposed approach is preliminarily tested and the results demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach.

Process mining utilizes process execution data to discover and analyse business processes. Event logs represent process execution data, providing information about activities executed in a process instance. In addition to generic event attributes like activity and timestamp, events might contain domain-specific attributes, such as a blood sugar measurement in a healthcare environment. Many of these values change during a typical process quite frequently. Hence, we refer to those as dynamic event attributes. Change patterns can be derived from dynamic event attributes, describing if the attribute values change from one activity to another. However, change patterns can only be identified in an isolated manner, neglecting the chance of finding co-occuring change patterns. This paper provides an approach to identify relationships between change patterns. We applied the proposed technique on the MIMIC-IV real-world dataset on hospitalizations in the US and evaluated the results with a medical expert. The approach is implemented in Python using the PM4Py framework.

The business capability map has gained close attention from organizations as an essential tool for communication between business and IT. However, its integration with the enterprise data model is hampered by semantic issues that complicate stakeholder communication. This study, based on an analysis of TOGAF, presents a refined metamodel to resolve these issues and ensure alignment between the business capability map and the enterprise data model. The utility of the metamodel was demonstrated through a case study of Dutch energy system operators. The findings not only enhance model consistency and stakeholder communication but also provide a foundation for future research, suggesting the integration of additional elements into the metamodel to broaden its scope and utility.

Livestreaming e-commerce has emerged as an effective way of facilitating consumer purchase decisions. Moreover, streamers play a crucial role in promoting product sales through live speech. Existing research has focused primarily on the effects of streamers' competencies, linguistic characteristics, and social interaction-oriented content on purchase decisions by analyzing streamers' conversation content, ignoring the differential impact of multidimensional content. Therefore, this study identifies and examines how the multidimensional content of streamers' live speech influences consumer purchase behavior in livestreaming e-commerce, with a particular focus on the moderating role of streamer influence. By analyzing a fine-grained dataset comprising 1,030 livestreaming events of 582 streamers from TikTok and matching them with actual sales transactions, a negative binominal regression model is used to estimate the research model, and the results show that product and social information contained in streamer conversation content has an inverted U-shaped relationship with consumer purchase behavior, while emotional information has a negative linear relationship with consumer purchase behavior. Furthermore, streamer influence significantly and positively moderates the effects of streamers' conversation content (product, social and emotional information) on consumer purchase behavior. This research establishes the paramount role of streamers' multidimensional conversation content in customer purchase behavior, lending credence to the epistemological applicability of persuasion theory in the context of livestreaming e-commerce. The study's findings offer some practical implications for developing conversation content in the context of livestreaming e-commerce.

The rapid dissemination of short video platforms has prompted enterprises to explore their potential applications in the e-commerce domain, leading to the emergence of a novel paradigm termed short video e-commerce. As an increasing number of consumers turn to short video e-commerce for their shopping endeavors, both academia and industry have shown a growing interest in this phenomenon. However, current research primarily focuses on qualitative investigations and analyses of user adoption behavior, with limited quantitative exploration into the factors influencing consumer switching behavior. To address this research gap, the present study, rooted in the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) model, examines the impact of platform attributes and consumer comparative perception on consumer conversion intention. Subsequently, it employs structural equation modeling to elucidate the causal mechanisms underlying these influencing factors. By uncovering consumers' shopping needs on short video platforms, this paper contributes to the theoretical advancement of e-commerce research. Furthermore, it assists industry professionals in formulating appropriate strategies to retain existing consumers and attract new ones.

Data Petri nets (DPNs) with arithmetic have gained popularity as a model for data-aware processes, thanks to their ability to balance simplicity with expressiveness and because they can be automatically discovered from event logs. While model checking techniques for DPNs have been studied, there are analysis tasks highly relevant for BPM that are beyond these methods. We focus here on process equivalence and process refinement with respect to language and configuration spaces;such comparisons are important in the context of process repair and discovery. To solve these tasks, we propose an approach for bounded DPNs based on constraint graphs, which are faithful abstractions of the reachable state space. Though the considered verification tasks are undecidable in general, we show that our method is a decision procedure for large classes of DPNs relevant in practice.
