The paper suggests a framework for investing advice based on the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) that is specifically designed for buyers of government bonds. The financial situation and investment goals of Hungarian clients are considered when customizing recommendations using this system. Based on their choices, it classifies consumers with comparable financial profiles and gives them advice on whether to invest in government bonds. 1542 possible investors' data were used to test the suggested system. Of these investors, about 52% expressed interest in government bonds, and the remainder of investors had no interest at all. The system's capacity to determine which client segments are appropriate for investing in government bonds by utilizing financial status criteria, like investment objectives, was demonstrated by the results. The report also identifies the shortcomings of the suggested system and makes recommendations for further research directions. Despite these limitations, the proposed framework presents a promising method for offering investment recommendations to government clients. It underscores the potential of employing ANFIS in this domain, paving the way for more sophisticated investment advisory systems.

Crime data visualization plays a key role in understanding and dealing with criminal activities. This paper focuses on the integration of mixed reality (MR) and crime data analysis. There aremany barriers and challengeswhen developing MR three-dimensional (3D) environments for visualization and inspection. The main problem is the lack of commonly shared data structures and interfaces between them. The rise in crime rates over the past few years is a huge source of issue for police departments and law enforcement organizations. As the crime rates significantly changed throughout time, both upward and downward, these changes are then compared to external factors, such as population, unemployment, and poverty. There is a need for visualizing the multiple crime datasets in multiple states with external factors. This work proposes a novel interactive approach for loading crime datasets into the HoloLens 2 device and displaying them in a mixed-reality setting for data analysis. By allowing people to engage and analyze datasets in a 3D space, the suggested system seeks to close the gap between data analysis and machine learning. Users can import many datasets, such as spatial, category, and numerical data, into the HoloLens 2 device and interactively visualize crime data for different states simultaneously. The system offers user-friendly capabilities for interactive data visualization in mixed reality once the data has been imported. The dataset is manipulated and transformed by users, who can also rotate, scale, and position it in 3D. To depict various characteristics and dimensions of the data, the system also supports a variety of visual encoding techniques, such as color mapping, size scaling, and spatial layout with the use of the imported datasets and the HoloLens 2's visualization capabilities, users can discover new insights and intricate linkages within the data. Personality traits are essential parts of human behavior analysis and may be applied in scientific domains like job screening. Nowadays, organizations utilize self-assessment methodologies to evaluate people or groups to establish productive teams. Even though study has been done on questionnaires and other self-assessment techniques to profile a candidate or an employee, they are frequently mundane and repetitive. In this study, we present a serious 3D Escape Room game with the goal of analyzing behaviors based on the OCEAN Five Personality Traits model. This model encompasses an individual's behavior on five dimensions: openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. We created corresponding rooms to monitor the player's gameplay style to develop customized models that assess personalities. These models use gameplay data generated by deep reinforcement learning agents that emulate human behavior, as a ground truth for each trait. Undergraduate and postgraduate students from Greece and Italy took part in our preliminary study and the game results are correlated with the baseline established by weighted questionnaires. The results show that there is indeed a correlation between the profiles from the questionnaires and the game.

Video games are complex and interdisciplinary objects. For a comprehensive analysis it is essential to have a classification that describes and includes all the game aspects and their interactions with the player. This paper provides a holistic approach with focus on general functional entities, the elements of video games and their relations and associations. The basic idea is a subdivision of video games into meaningful individual game aspects, into elements which belong to one or more classes on the basis of terms and definitions. Based on these element associations, the game itself can be classified as a whole, analyzed and compared on an abstract level.

In this work, we investigate if two essential properties in electronic voting, coercion-resistance and cast-as-intended verifiability, can be jointly achieved in settings where voters are (very) limited from a computational point of view. This may be the case in elections where voters use a voting station or webpage to cast their votes but do not have specialized software or devices to perform complicated cryptographic operations (for instance, to verify zero-knowledge proofs or to generate one-way trapdoors). We provide a solution where the only things voters have to do are: remember and compare strings of numbers, on the one hand, and press a button at the appropriate moment, on the other hand. This button activates the participation of an online entity, which is trusted to choose a random nonce for each voter and to publish it only when that voter presses the button (and not before). The most expensive part of the verification is an OR proof of knowledge, which can be done by any (powerful enough) external verifier.

Knowledge tracing (KT) is a research area of predicting students' knowledge states using their interaction data, such as concepts, questions, and responses. Most deep learning-based KT models have suffered from attributions of KT datasets such as the data sparsity, changeability of the knowledge state, and educational domain. Recently, most KT models use attention mechanisms to solve these problems. However, few studies tried to redesign the attention mechanism to restrict coverage of the local receptive field, for which the model can optimize to find the latent representation locally and globally in the students' interaction. In this study, we propose MonaCoBERT, with a redesigned attention mechanism by combining monotonic attention (MA) and spanbased dynamic convolution (SDC), in order to represent global and local features together and to apply students' forgetting. As a result, MonaCoBERT achieves remarkable performance on most benchmark datasets. In addition, we used a classical test-theory-based embedding strategy to reflect the difficulty degree of knowledge concepts. We conducted ablation studies and further analysis to explain the remarkable performance of our model quantitatively. The analysis results demonstrate that SDC and MA complement one another. We also demonstrate that our model represents the relationship between concepts.

Globalization of digital communication, made available by the internet, has highlighted elements that are still very different in different markets, among them, those dimensions related to different languages and cultures. Digital communication has tackled such differences, and the need to address different target locales in different ways, through so-called "Localization", which can be considered as a cultural translation. Localization includes also changes related to different legal systems, or time/season zones, as well as currencies, payment systems, social media used in given areas. However, while a company is requested to ensure high quality contents and functionalities for specific markets, it has also to ensure identity and consistency across different regions. Striking the right equilibrium between consistency and identity on one side, and localization on the other, is particularly relevant for luxury brands, which leverage their (cultural) identity as a major dimension of their (perceived) value. This study analyzes how five European Luxury brands - Bulgari, Cartier, Gucci, La Prairie, and Rolex - adapt their websites for the Chinese market;such analysis is done through a comparison between their websites for the French, Italian, and Swiss markets and the Chinese one, how and how much they localize.

The content of an appositive relative clause is a type of conventional implicature, that is, secondary or supplementary information of a sentence. Focusing on discourse behaviors and scopal properties, we present an analysis of appositive relative clauses based on Dependent Type Semantics, a type-theoretical semantic framework. Our central idea is that appositive content implicitly extends the typing context during the process of type checking, reflecting a property of conventional implicatures, namely, that they directly update the common ground.

This research concentrates on the elderly user group, proposing an innovative dynamic adaptive visualization mechanism within the realm of invehicle human-machine interface (HMI). The essence of this mechanism is the real-time analysis of users' cognitive states, utilizing advanced adaptive algorithms for the intelligent encoding and dynamic adjustment of interface information. This design allows for the flexible variation of interface elements based on the users' cognitive load and specific task requirements, while also providing real-time feedback on user operations, effectively enhancing the situational awareness (SA) of elderly users. The study not only delves into the technical aspects of this adaptive interface design but also empirically examines its effectiveness in enhancing the situational awareness of the elderly user demographic. The findings indicate that this mechanism significantly improves attention distribution, information processing, and decision-making response capabilities among elderly users during in-vehicle HMI interactions, thereby enhancing their overall driving safety.

The use of translucent input letters is a variant of a discontinuous input processing in automata. In detail, the automaton performs several sweeps from left to right on the input. Depending on the current state of the automaton, some symbols are visible and can be processed, whereas some other symbols are invisible, and may be processed in another sweep. We also distinguish between the returning and non-returning mode, which differ from the fact that a new sweep starts or not, respectively, immediately after processing a visible input symbol. Here, we investigate deterministic pushdown automata with translucent letters both in the returning and non-returning mode. It turns out that the families of the languages accepted by these two types of devices can properly be ranked between the deterministic context-free languages and the deterministic context-sensitive languages. Moreover, both families are incomparable with the families of Church-Rosser languages, context-free languages, and growing context-sensitive languages. Finally, we study the closure of both language families under the Boolean operations and we obtain for both families the closure under complementation, and the non-closure under union and intersection.
