Through case analysis of changes in mental health counseling methods both domestically and internationally, a multidimensional quadrant model for the design turn of psychological counseling centers is abstracted from philosophy, and a fusion path for the design turn between different quadrants is proposed. At the same time, it is proposed that the design of psychological counseling centers is shifting from traditional counseling spaces to technology based experiential place, and the role of psychological counselors is shifting from providing counseling services to evaluating experiential effects. The positioning of psychological counseling centers is shifting from a space for relieving psychological stress to a place where stories can occur, which is the academic contribution of this study. Based on the service theater model, it is proposed that psychological counseling services as experience venues can be designed from three aspects of service contacts: common goals, service scenarios, and interactive processes. Then, through the transformation of the Psychological Counseling Center of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, the necessity and feasibility of designing psychological counseling services from consultation spaces to experience venues are verified through the actual design process and effects. This is the practical value of this study.

Marketing researchers have investigated how value is co-created through direct interactions between service providers and customers. Previous studies have focused on service provider behaviors that facilitate customer value creation. It is essential to focus on both the value co-creation behaviors of service providers and the factors that influence them. However, there is currently an insufficient understanding of the factors that influence the value co-creation behavior of service providers. Previous research has focused on the institutions, norms, and practices shared by the actors involved in value co-creation. Furthermore, there has been limited discussion on specific factors based on empirical research. The impact of service providers' logic, which is assumed to drive their behavior, on value co-creation has not yet been discussed. Owing to the foregoing, this study explores how service providers' logic and behavior contribute to value co-creation. We identified four logics in this regard (i.e., frontline service employees, customers, departments, and firms), four service behaviors (i.e., performing, supporting, collaborating, and coordinating), and specific value outcomes for each actor.

The promise of smart contracts (computer programs running on a decentralized virtual computer) lies in the ability to execute agreements without the risk of interference by powerful intermediaries. However, in practice, many smart contracts reintroduce privileged parties on the application layer. They are programmed to enforce that certain functions can only be executed by the owners of defined accounts. We propose and validate a method to detect such privileged parties from binary smart contract code on the Ethereum platform. Our open-source implementation, Ethpector, can be used to verify claims about "zero-trust," reveal ownership structures, forensically analyze networks of virtual shell organizations, and may support auditors when testifying ownership of intangible assets on Ethereum held by conventional legal entities.

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect in May 2018. It requires organizations to give European users access to their data. Although several requirements are contained in the GDPR, such as machine-readable format and easily understandable information, these kinds of regulations leave flexibility on how to achieve them. In order to understand the past and the current practices emerging from the GDPR, we evaluate data exports from 2018 and 2023 of one reference account from the social media platform Twitter. We analyze the service's compliance with the requirements of the GDPR, the changes within the time span, and the differences between accounts. To compare and verify the results, we incorporate the findings of data exports of four verification accounts. The results show that the information presented to the users is easier to understand with the present version. However, the data is not provided in a machine-readable format and additional files, such as more than 3,000 emoticons, are incorporated. In addition, not all practices are according to GDPR. Based on the results, the study suggests future research topics and practical improvements.

Public organizations are increasingly using automated decision-making (ADM) as a means for improving efficiency. The automation, however, risk undermining their legitimacy if not carefully constructed to preserve public values. This paper aims to provide a synthesis and analysis of literature on ADM in the public sector from various disciplines. We illustrate dominant themes in the public sector ADM literature and unveil areas that require further research. We call for (1) fine-grained conceptualizations of ADM, that accommodate differences in e.g., types of decisions and levels of government;(2) further attention to decision-making hybrids, where both humans and algorithms have agency, and how such hybrids should be developed to avoid biases;and (3) preventive safeguards that protect individual rights while ensuring the public interest in transparency. We thus contribute with an overview of the dominant themes in the public sector ADM literature, and directions for future research on this topic.

Effective Machine Learning algorithms require meticulous data preparation. In contemporary microprocessors, ensuring predictable and efficient memory access is crucial to mitigate cache misses. Therefore, compact data structures with high information density are crucial for optimal computation. This paper discusses the interplay of musical meter and microtiming, as long-term expectation of pattern repetition and short-term deviations. A review of musicological, cognitive and computational models is presented. The literature regards meter perception of rhythmic patterns as a manifestation of human attentive behavior, which is also culturally dependent. Additionally, the paper discusses dissimilarity measures of rhythmic patters. The author introduces two algorithms featuring normalized binary representations of rhythmic patterns of inter-onset intervals, activation functions for computing linear, and logarithmic time differences. Bitwise operations are implemented for the bit-sequences of rhythmic patterns. The author offers an implementation of mutual information calculation as bitwise operations.

This paper shows howa tool that explore future possibilities, ReadySetFuture_, helped a major automotive maker understand how shifts in consumer values may impact the features and use cases that surprise and delight future vehicle consumers in the year 2033. It contrasts two common mindsets when thinking about the future: a there is no alternative (TINA) mindset and a there are many alternatives (TAMA) mindset. The future contains numerous alternatives and possibilities, ripe for exploration and proactive planning. ReadySetFuture_ was included in a series of workshops to cultivate a heightened sense of curiosity about future possibilities. The paper examines the planning and development stages of ReadySetFuture_ and highlights key findings that demonstrates how the tool enhances users' curiosity. The paper details the design, development, and testing processes, emphasizing its approaches to evoke curiosity. Additionally, it discusses the strategic integration of various curiosity-invoking techniques, which contributes to a more extensive approach to futures thinking. The game's success in generating over 100 scenarios across workshops highlights its effectiveness in encouraging participants to explore diverse perspectives on potential futures.

The rapid development of digital technology has gradually expanded its application in the field of children's education, providing new perspectives for the deep integration of technology and aesthetic education. This research aims to explore the application of digital technology in museum-based aesthetic education for children, intending to leverage advanced technology to offer children a more enriching, interactive, and inspirational learning experience. Firstly, the paper delineates the current application status of digital technology in the Chinese educational landscape and analyzes the challenges faced by museum-based aesthetic education for children. In conclusion, this paper summarizes the instructional effects of digital technology in museum-based aesthetic education for children, discussing its feasibility as a beneficial supplement to traditional aesthetic education-methods. The application of digital technology not only encompasses artistic creation, technological experiences, and scientific knowledge, but also integrates the essence of Chinese culture and world civilization. This holds profound significance and guiding influence in enhancing children's understanding of concepts such as sustainable development, environmental protection, cultural transmission, and the shared destiny of humanity.

Data science has emerged as a critical field for organizations seeking to harness the power of big data to inform strategic decisions and gain a competitive edge. However, the demand for data scientists far exceeds the currently available pool of qualified candidates, making it a significant challenge for organizations to hire and train the right talent. As a visual expression tool for service concept models, Service Blueprint directly affect the efficiency and sharing level of multi-party cooperation in service design, service management, and service deliver. Based on the research and analysis of multiple cases, this article provides an optimized service design innovation framework: 1) Using digital transformation to standardize Service Blueprint tools;2) In the digital Service Blueprint, a universal component library and business middle platform (which calledMiddle-stage) are constructed based on atomic design theory to achieve the reuse of service components, thereby improving the collaborative efficiency and resource utilization of service design, achieving consistency in service experience, and improving service quality.
