In recent years, remarkable progress has been made in generative models, particularly in the fields of computer vision and natural language processing. The ability of generative models to generate new and diverse samples has resulted in a wide range of applications, such as image and video synthesis, text generation, and music composition. This study investigates generative modeling advances made using Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), Generative Adversarial networks (GANs), and diffusion models. Although VAEs and GANs have been widely used for generative modeling tasks in the past, diffusion models have recently emerged as state-of-the-art models. This study provides a detailed analysis of each model, including its strengths and limitations, as well as its applications in image synthesis and video generation. Furthermore, this paper discusses recent developments in diffusion models such as denoising. Finally, this paper implements these proposed models to generate water crystal images.

In the 21st century, stress is an almost inevitable part of life. Many stressful situations are experienced by today's students. These situations can vary depending on personal, academic, and work situations. It is important to recognise and manage these situations. The ability to manage stress is also a 21st-century skill, one of the soft skills valued by today's employers. We have created a course on stress management in collaboration between the Netherlands, Hungary, and Malta. Our research aimed to understand Generation Z students' views and stress management techniques in engineering, business, and IT. These insights will enable us to develop additional methods to improve these important soft skills. Furthermore, we investigated the influence of certain background factors on the selected stress-coping strategies. It is important to clarify what we mean by stress before determining what tools are available to deal with stressful situations. We should consider what factors may trigger stress, what short- and long-term consequences are likely, and what positive consequences may arise. Various stressful situations can be associated with a variety of negative feelings, so we have analysed these feelings. Awareness of these feelings is useful for their control and management. The study was based on the analysis of texts written by 59 university students in a course on stress management, to draw conclusions about how they perceive stress, what factors influence how they perceive it, how they behave in stressful situations and how well they can identify their feelings in these situations. Various links between gender, academic performance and stress management are explored in the study.

This article explores the dynamic interaction between consumer awareness, ethical consumption, and product labeling in the context of the clean living's trend. The increasing consumer interest in products that are categorized as part of clean lifestyle is a response to society's demand for products that not only offer individual health benefits but also reflect environmental and social responsibility. This study also highlights the important role of individual moral identity in influencing consumer behavior and ethical considerations in purchasing decisions. Product labeling, including organic and gluten-free labels, was identified as an important element in meeting consumer expectations, ensuring transparency and product safety. Businesses that adopt clean living practices will receive benefit by increased in their market growth, product innovation and consumer loyalty. This article suggests future research to explore the relationship between moral identity and consumer choice, as well as the long-term impact of clean living labeling on consumer behavior.

In the current era of digitalization and amidst the challenges posed by the prolonged pandemic and the implementation of martial law, the development of Emotional Intelligence (EI) has increasingly shifted to online platforms. This shift has prompted the exploration of novel methodological approaches in education. One effective approach in developing EI during distance learning is the integration of game technologies, particularly the use of gamification tools and artificial emotional intelligence technology. This study aims to investigate the potential and effectiveness of employing gamification tools and Emotion AI in enhancing students' EI. The methodological foundation for EI trainings with the use of gamification techniques is the 4-component instrumental model for developing EI (4EI Model). Adapted for the entrepreneurial and business context, the 4EI Model comprises four components, namely Self-awareness, Self-management, Social awareness, and Relationship management. Correspondingly, specific tools based on cutting-edge software are proposed for each component. The research employs quantitative methods to collect measurable data from students and conduct objective tests. EI training sessions with the use of gamification tools are being implemented within the curriculum of economics and management programs at Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy (UEPA). The effectiveness of the proposed gamification techniques in fostering the development of EI is corroborated by the survey results obtained from students using the 'Emotional Intelligence in Business' questionnaire. Consequently, the proposed gamification techniques demonstrate relevance and effectiveness, thereby warranting their integration into the educational process for the development of EI.

Mental disorders are a significant concern that continues to increase around the world, affecting millions of people. Though mental health is an important part of overall well-being, it remains stigmatised and often overlooked in society. According to WHO, by the end of 2023, almost 20% of Indians will suffer from mental disorders. Despite the increased focus on mental health, individuals continue to experience significant problems and challenges in accessing and receiving effective, trustworthy treatment. This paper explores the state of mental health and mental disorders in India while also addressing the challenges associated with accessing appropriate treatments. Additionally, it also explores the impact of stigma on individuals with mental disorders, examining its effect on patient experiences and their symptoms. As a result, this study led to the development of a framework, mHEAL, which emphasises prevention, promotion and awareness around mental disorders, symptoms, treatments, and social stigma. It is implemented through a smartphone application and chatbot designed for individuals with mental disorders. Essentially, the objective is to improve the overall mental health scenario in society, promote its acceptance among patients and improve the overall mental well-being of these individuals.

In the article, the authors considered the role of the financial system in socio-economic development in the conditions of war. The influence of financial mechanisms on social development, support of entrepreneurship, reduction of social inequality and creation of a stable economic environment is analyzed. Direct losses from the destruction of infrastructure as a result of Russia's military aggression are estimated. The dynamics of the inflation rate in Ukraine, indicators of the budget deficit of Ukraine and public debt during 2020-2023 are analyzed. The problems of effective development of the financial system of Ukraine are identified and measures to adapt the financial system of Ukraine to military conditions are proposed. Within the framework of the Strategy, it is proposed to implement European legislation and best world practices in such areas as regulation of the financial sector, resolution of bankruptcy cases and exit of financial institutions from the market. Proposals were made regarding the creation of a stable and efficient financial system and the introduction of a number of strategies aimed at ensuring stability, liquidity and social justice in the period of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the post-war period. The results of the study can be used to formulate recommendations for optimizing financial policy in conditions of unrest and military conflict.

This article describes a new Strategic Design teaching process for students in the Bachelor of Design program at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey. We developed the process to have three stages: Situational Analysis, Foresight, and Generation (SAFG), and an application sequence in which students developed a project for a real client, which in this case was a product or services company. As part of the methodology, we proposed the process to three professors who teach the subject of Strategic Design and two experts in the subject to adapt and validate the stages. Next, we implemented the proposal during a semester to a group of 25 students, divided into 8 teams. At the end of the course, the students answered a survey instrument. To complete the investigation, student teams interviewed a representative of the company involved in their projects. A correlational analysis of the student survey was compared with the company representatives' opinions to corroborate the process's value. Also, the results were contrasted with the information obtained from the experts to corroborate that the process did have the expected impact. The conclusion was that the students and companies found significant value in the process. The students identified the Foresight stage as the most difficult and the one they appreciated as the most valuable in the process. However, company representatives found greater value in the Generation stage.

We present both design and a mixed method evaluation scheme of a semester-long course for scientific literature work. Focus of this contribution lies on the implementation for an e-learning environment with a clearly structured overview as key requirement, reflecting teaching concepts used, that is designed to reduce complexity of usage. Teaching concepts are derived from Self-Determination Theory and are assumed to provide learning conditions to support an optimal motivation profile by focusing on autonomy support, involvement, and structure. Demand-driven student-teacher communication is possible through hybrid communication structures. Approaches to flexibility are reflected by students' own choice of research focus. Situated in 5th semester within a bachelor curriculum, Artificial Neural networks are used as a thematical framework which easily can be adapted to other subjects. Teaching analysis poll is conducted to obtain timely feedback by students to identify helping and hindering factors for learning, followed by a questionnaire reflecting the acquisition of competences.

Researchers have been applying many statistical methods to handle complex financial data, but since DL techniques have emerged, Artificial neural networks have been successfully utilized for automatic feature extraction and prediction. Among many ANN tools, convolutional neural networks (CNN) prove to produce better learning capabilities and therefore manage big data in capital markets, enabling stock market prediction. Therefore, with this work authors seek to explore the possibility of using CNN to process graphics containing stock charts and demonstrate the potential of predicting volume changes. The aim of the study is to develop a CNN's based model that supports prediction of stock volume changes in the capital markets. Moreover, the authors intend to compare the quality measures of the generated predictive model for different types of stock charts. In relation to the aforementioned, a noteworthy contribution to the existing body of knowledge involves comparing the utility of two types of charts for analyzing volume values.

The paper dealswith the importance of education and awareness raising in the context of sustainability, especially in relation to the role of engineering in solving current problems such as population growth, global inequality and climate change. Education for sustainable development plays a key role in promoting sustainable thinking in society and that universities and higher education institutions are fundamental institutions to achieve the SDGs. Therefore, linking technical and sustainability-oriented topics in the curriculum is essential to prepare future engineers for their role as change agents. Within the framework of a design-based research approach, the aim of this paper is to provide a best practice example of an innovative teaching concept that closes this gap and presents a theory-based teaching example for sustainable engineering education. Central questions are, on the one hand, to what extent sustainability topics are currently anchored in engineering courses in Germany. In addition, the question is addressed as to what a subject didactic concept in the engineering sciences can look like under the current conditions that takes up sustainability topics and stimulates an increase in the ecological and sustainable awareness of students. The article gives an overview of the structure and the most important components of the module. The insights gained are intended to contribute to the evidence-based implementation of sustainability in engineering and thus fill a gap in engineering teaching practice and engineering education research.
