The paper explores a system designed for enhancing emotional connectivity through cooperative interactions and clear biofeedback. Utilizing the Muse device for data collection and the Mind Monitor software for EEG data processing, along with Python for system development, this research investigates the potential of clear biofeedback to boost empathy within a multi-user, cooperative setting. By applying design science research methodology and examining the responses of 10 participants, this study establishes a link between EEG data and emotional experience, providing fresh insights into emotional interactions among multiple users.

This paper merges bioinformatics and medical engineering to enhance respiratory health research. We developed a web application for processing and analyzing respiratory sound time-series data. Ou development demonstrates promising results in various tasks and highlights the potential of unsupervised learning methods like k-means for future advancements in health informatics. The application offers a novel interface for comprehensive respiratory sound analysis. The source code for the DigitaLung WebApp is available on Github.

The Covid-19 pandemic which has been going on for 4 years has changed the lifestyle of interaction between people and the economy and business continuity, including in Indonesia. All activities that were previously carried out onsite now can be carried out online using internet. Especially in the business processes that run in property companies, which generally require an interaction before buying a property, such as seeing show units directly and completing files and signature documents in making the documents needed to buy or rent a property. With the current technological developments, it is very possible that all these process can be carried out online. This study aims to analyze and design a prototype of a website, where this website will be used to show all show units that are carried out virtually and activities that will be carried out with further online property sales. The scope of this research starts from customers who can see the show unit virtually through the website. This research has limitations, it does not discuss security and does not discuss the process of paying for houses and their administration (required documents). The research method used is SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and for object-oriented analysis and design (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design).

Determining the level of cognitive demand in school tasks is a significant challenge, marked by the lack of consensus among evaluators when assigning cognitive complexity in different areas of knowledge. In view of this problem, we propose a methodology based on the Theory of Registers of Semiotic Representation to guide the assignment of cognitive demand in mathematical tasks, specifically focused on the quadratic function. We have used ChatGPT to implement this methodology, applying it to mathematical tasks extracted from school textbooks. The results show that the analysis methodology proposed for the classification of these tasks is simple to implement with ChatGPT and with the experts. Moreover, on the classification of the 3 tasks analyzed, the experts evaluated ChatGPT's performance well with respect to 2 of them, and on a third one there were discrepancies.

In online healthcare systems, patient data confidentiality and integrity are the primary concerns. After COVID-19, we have seen that the usability of the online healthcare system has increased significantly. However, in this scenario, there is a need to protect the security of the patient data. Since a patient's data might become vulnerable when unauthorized changes are made, there is a need for a strategy where if any alteration is made, it can be easily detected. This paper provides a blockchain framework to validate the patient's test report. Initially, the patient data is captured by the Medical Diagnostic Center (MDC), and subsequently, lossless compression is applied to the patient data for proper bandwidth utilization. Here, the MDC applied a partial encryption process on medical data for uploading into the InterPlanatary File System (IPFS). The encryption is carried out using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) in Galois Counter Mode (GCM). The practitioners can retrieve the secure medical test data through the suggested blockchain framework, and subsequently, they can check the integrity of the data before considering their treatment process. Overall, the system preserves the security of the patient data, and legitimate users can access the data securely. The suggested mechanism has been implemented using a private Ethereum blockchain. Overall, the proposed framework is suitable for preserving the security of the patient data.

The paper addresses the use of an adaptive, recursive fuzzy modeling based on the notion of level set to forecast monthly streamflows of a major hydroelectric power plant reservoir at the northeast of Brazil. Streamflows are highly complex nonstationary time series with high variability during the year, a feature that turns modeling and forecasting very hard and challenging. The adaptive level set method is evaluated against periodic autoregressive moving average models, currently adopted by many power industries, and against granular, neural, neural fuzzy, recurrent neural, and data driven level set models. The results show that adaptive level set modeling achieves the best root mean square error performance, surpassing all the models considered herein.

Religious literature is among the most widely read ones. The Bible is the normative corpus for Christians. However, it is not a trivial text to read, due to its high degree of literary and linguistic variability, making sermon construction a laborious activity. This work proposes a method, called SwarmaBle, for automating the construction of Biblical sermons through a combination of natural language processing and swarm intelligence. The study combines quantitative and qualitative assessments of SwarmaBle, exploring its sensitivity to two hyperparameters and presenting a discussion about expert-evaluated recommended passages. The results show a consistent performance of SwarmaBle, achieving an average performance above 70% in the quantitative analysis. Domain experts reported positive evaluations regarding SwarmaBle's ability to recommend meaningful Biblical passages for the given topic.

Information Extraction (IE) from text is a challenging data mining task. Recently, numerous research studies have been proposed in this domain, but most of them used Pre-Processed Embeddings (PPE) inefficiently. PPE converts Pre-Trained Embedding (PTE) into a different format to achieve a more accurate outcome. Most of the existing PPE methods concatenate the embeddings, leading to high computational costs and low accuracy of the extracted information. This paper introduces a novel deep learning model and PPE methods for IE from any text. The proposed PPE uses information from different pre-trained models via establishing sensible relationships between this information without enhancing the computational cost. Proposed PPE methods exploit Bert and Deberta embeddings. To select the most relevant characters and words from a sentence, the bi-directional encoder-decoder Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) model was used, followed by Multi-head Attention (MHAT) to learn the relationship between words. Therefore, results have significantly improved target information estimation accuracy on the benchmark dataset across domains.

Physical aggression presents a pervasive challenge worldwide, disrupting various aspects of individuals' lives and societal functioning. This phenomenon stems from difficulties in emotional regulation, interpersonal conflicts, and socio-economic factors. Women and minors are particularly vulnerable demographics, facing high rates of violence in both intimate and public settings. Despite concerted efforts, violence detection remains a crucial issue with implications for public safety and social well-being. In this study, the challenge of violence detection in videos is addressed utilizing a combination of pre-trained VGG19 and Bi-LSTM layers. While promising results have been demonstrated in previous research utilizing VGG16, the potential effectiveness of VGG19 in this context has not been thoroughly investigated, although a larger number of convolutional layers should mean a better understanding of the scene. Moreover, the use of Bi-LSTM layers has been shown to be superior to the use of LSTM layers by up to 3%. A broad range of hyperparameter combinations is explored to optimize model performance. Positive results are obtained through experiments, with accuracies of 97%, 90%, and 73% achieved on the Hockey Fights dataset, Violent Flow Dataset, and RWF-200, respectively. Although the model does not surpass state-of-the-art approaches utilizing VGG16, it exhibits promise when compared to other proposals within the field. Overall, our study contributes to advancing violence detection methodologies, emphasizing the importance of leveraging deep learning techniques for improving public safety and social well-being.

Modern communication networks rely on optical fiber networks to transmit various sensitive information among different organizations. With the evolution of fifth-generation telecom technologies, such as intelligent hyper-connected networks, the concentration of all transmission information on optical communication networks has become prevalent. Consequently, ensuring the security of optical transmission devices has become paramount. Establishing secure communication between optical access network nodes presents a significant challenge due to reported instances of hacking into optical cables, rendering the optical communication medium vulnerable to eavesdropping. Therefore, there is a pressing need for complementary security measures. This paper proposes a lightweight yet effective secure key distribution strategy to enhance the network security of optical communication. The proposed Key Exchange (KE) protocols, focusing on symmetric key sharing (SKS) and Secure Key Update (SKU), are subjected to Scyther-based security simulations to demonstrate their security. Additionally, an informal security analysis is provided to showcase the resilience of the SKS and SKU algorithms against various security attacks. Computational benchmarks show that both algorithms require fewer computational, communication, and storage resources during the key generation phase compared to related authentication protocols.
