The present study aimed to examine the pre-service elementary teachers' attitudes in Morocco toward integrating mobile learning in science education. Convenience sampling was the method used to select the research sample. Data collected through a 15-item questionnaire was distributed to 340 pre-service teachers of the Bachelor of Education Elementary Specialty (BEES). The data were analyzed with statistical techniques including mean scores and Mann-Whitney tests. The results indicated that the pre-service teachers had positive attitudes toward the use of mobile learning in science education and that these attitudes were not dependent on the teachers' gender, educational level, or pre-university academic background. The results also show that Moroccan pre-service elementary teachers would feel uncertain about the ability of their future children to use mobile devices in science learning.

Multimodal Metadata Augmentation (MMA) is explored in the context of federated learning (FL) for image classification tasks in medical applications. The impact of augmenting medical image data with additional metadata, such as partial text opinions, inmultimodal configuration, on the performance of deep neural network (DNN) models. The medical PathMNIST and general-purpose CIFAR10 datasets are used for FL experimentation on the highly imbalanced datasets. The results demonstrate that MMA can significantly improve classification accuracy for PathMNIST by various ensembling methods including majority voting, averaging, maximizing, and their versions without taking into account potential outliers. The results obtained suggest that DNN with MMA has potential applications in secure and privacy-preserving FL for medical image analysis.

This article looked at the concept of a pandemic as witnessed in 2020 and developed a system (smart classroom door) that can come in handy in the event of a similar situation, particularly in a school environment. Sensors and microcontrollers were integrated into the classroom door to observe, implement and help enforce the guidelines marshaled out as criteria for lifting the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020. A high-performance computer board was used to integrate hardware devices that provided web interfaces for applications. Python programming language was used in the implementation because it is supported by commercial and open-source operating systems used in the work. Firebase database is used for cloud recording and synchronization in real time with every connected client. The system recognized the profiled students and also identified when a recognized face eventually puts on a face mask before granting such student access to enter the classroom. Any face that was recognized but failed to put on a face mask when prompted to do so was not granted access. Whenever access is granted to a student, the system smoothly updates the Firebase in real time. The system was also able to mark an offline attendance whenever there was no Internet connection.

Reaction force-aware control is essential for legged climbing robots to ensure a safer and more stable operation. This becomes particularly crucial when navigating steep terrain or operating in microgravity environments, where excessive reaction forces may result in the loss of foot contact with the ground, leading to potential falls or floating over in microgravity. Furthermore, such robots are often tasked with manipulation activities, exposing them to external forces in addition to those generated during locomotion. To effectively handle such disturbances while maintaining precise motion trajectory tracking, we propose a novel control scheme based on position-based impedance control, also known as admittance control. We validated this control method through simulation-based case studies by intentionally introducing continuous and impact interference forces to simulate scenarios such as object manipulation or obstacle collisions. The results demonstrated a significant reduction in both the reaction force and joint torque when employing the proposed method.

In order to promote a green project of paper recycling, this research study will examine the possibilities of e-commerce in developing India. The study is important because e-commerce has been highlighted as one of the main forces behind the nation's economic expansion and because recycling paper is essential for reaching sustainable development goals. The first section of the essay looks at the situation of e-commerce in India right now, including its trends of growth, difficulties, and potential. The potential of e-commerce to encourage paper recycling is then examined. Examples include the usage of digital receipts, online bill payment, and e-commerce platforms for selling recycled paper goods. The study also examines how recycling paper affects the environment and economy of India, including how it might lower waste and carbon emissions, generate new employment opportunities, and preserve natural resources. In order to boost paper recycling and lessen their environmental impact, the article advises e-commerce businesses to adopt sustainable practices, such as promoting paperless transactions and collaborating with recycling businesses. In conclusion, the study emphasizes how e-commerce has the potential to stimulate economic growth and advance sustainable development in India, notably by boosting paper recycling. The report suggests in order to reach a more sustainable future, policymakers, corporations, and consumers should collaborate in order to maximize the possibilities of e-commerce and paper recycling. Policymakers, companies, and other stakeholders with an interest in India's e-commerce and recycling industries would find the research's conclusions interesting.

CrossTremor a cross correlation code for detecting seismic tremors is presented. The code uses tectonic earthquakes as Green's functions to identify non volcanic seismic tremors. A six steps methodology is proposed: Downloading the continuous recording by day, obtaining the response files and removing the instrument response of the data, identification of candidate tremors, extraction of candidate tremors, moment magnitude computation, and seismic site effects estimation. As a case of study, CrossTremor is applied to one year data (2006) of CODEX and MARS temporal seismic arrays in western Mexico. The code identified 530 non vocanic tremors in this region with moment magnitudes ranged from 3.3 to 5.0 with respective corner frequencies from 1.1 to 7.3Hz. Estimated fundamental periods were computed in a range of 1.0 to 10.3Hz. CrossTremor is an open software available in the GitLab repository https://***/cramirezp/***.

This study navigates the intricate landscape of understanding and classifying customer behavior amid dynamic consumer preferences and vast data. Conventional segmentation methods often fall short, resulting in suboptimal marketing strategies and reduced satisfaction. Our research advocates for an advanced approach integrating unsupervised and supervised learning techniques to enhance accuracy in customer behavior classification. By synergizing these methodologies, businesses can precisely tailor products and services, fostering engagement and success in the marketplace. The study emphasizes the critical need for a data-driven, machine learning-based solution to unlock the full potential of customer behavior analysis. We present a framework advancing customer behavior classification through unsupervised learning, encompassing data exploration, clustering, and dimensionality reduction. The research extends its impact by enhancing application security for sensitive data. Evaluations demonstrate outstanding accuracy levels for each algorithm: Logistic Regression (95%), Random Forest (99%), SVM (99%), CNN (99.3%), and ANN (99.4%). These results underscore the efficacy of our proposed methodology, representing a significant advancement in precision and depth of customer behavior classification.

The problem of increasing the efficiency of search and identification of anomalies in multispectral images obtained in observation systems is investigated. The approach based on the use of the spectral form of the mathematical description of the observation system model and statistical filtering of video information performed in the spatial-frequency domain is considered. The method is based on finding the spectral characteristic of the image and filtering operators, transition to solving the system of linear algebraic equations of generalized characteristic functions and estimation of the posterior distribution density of the image state vector. To perform optimal statistical filtering and image anomaly detection, an algorithm of recurrent processing of video information by a multichannel frequency filter is implemented, providing maximum suppression of noise additively distorting the useful image signal #CSOC1120.

The work examines the process of second harmonic generation in nanoparticles made from materials with a high refractive index. Second harmonic is a phenomenon in which photons of a primary frequency are converted into photons of a secondary frequency of twice the frequency, which is important for various applications in optics and photonics. We examine in detail the physical processes underlying second harmonic generation in nanoparticles, including nonlinear optical effects associated with the high refractive index of materials. For this purpose, the method of multipole decomposition of scattered radiation is used. The authors also discuss possible applications of second harmonic generation in nanoparticles, such as the creation of compact and efficient light sources in optical devices. The work presents important research results in the field of second harmonic generation by nanoparticles made of a material with a high refractive index. The research results can be useful for the development of new optical devices with improved performance and efficiency characteristics. #CSOC1120

Cinematic experiences have significantly evolved over the decades, with advancements like 3D and virtual reality (VR) ushering in heightened levels of viewer immersion. Critical to this evolution is understanding audience engagement, especially in emerging media formats like VR. This study delves into the influence of cultural capital encompassing knowledge, skills, and cultural assets - on audience copresence perceptions across various media formats. Findings reveal that individuals with higher cultural capital, equipped to notice technological and narrative subtleties, might experience copresence differently due to specific immersive expectations. In contrast, those with lower cultural capital might be less attuned to these nuances. Notably, the format of the medium, particularly 360 cinematic VR, considerably affects copresence, enhancing feelings of being 'present with others', including virtual characters. Additionally, different VR narratives induce diverse copresence sensations, underscoring the significance of narrative techniques and technological content. This research emphasizes that as cinematic technology progresses, content creators should prioritize understanding their audience's cultural backgrounds and knowledge to ensure that media experiences resonate with a diverse audience spectrum.
