The incorporation of information technologies (IT) has occurred in all sectors to improve processes, products, and/or services offered to customers. The new challenges posed by today's world have affected companies in the area of sales, where Customer Experience is one of the most important factors for an organization. Technologies such as Virtual Reality and/or Augmented Reality (AR), as applied to business, have made Customer Experience different from its traditional one. The objective of this research was to develop a mobile application with AR to improve Customer Experience with compurchases, using the RUP methodology, and defining the software architecture, requirements, construction, and installation. The results show an improvement in customer attitude, purchase intention, customer satisfaction, interactivity, and Customer Experience. In conclusion, it can be said that the mobile application with AR had a positive impact on Customer Experience, which is a significant advance in the business.

Rough sets are described in possibilistic data tables with values expressed in normal possibility distributions. A possibilistic data table is transformed into the set of incomplete data tables with possible degrees by using a-cut. Every incomplete data table is dealt with from the viewpoint of possible world semantics used by Lipski and creates possible tables. In each possible table, we obtain the binary relation of object indiscernibility. Aggregating the binary relations we derive the minimum and maximum of approximations in a level of a-cut. As a results, the minimum and the maximum of approximations are derived in the form of possibility distributions. The actual approximation exists between them. This representation allows us to grasp the overall picture of the approximations.

In recent times, our planet has experienced numerous natural disasters across all continents. The damage caused by these disasters has been so extensive that Emergency Medical Services (EMS) proved incapable of handling the situation. In this article, we present a novel approach for urgent disaster transport with the aim of minimizing loss of life. In this context, we are investigating the Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise algorithm (DBSCAN) to cluster the large geographic zone affected by the 2023 earthquake in Turkiye. The clustering is done based on hospitals' capacity on one hand and damages on the other hand. The ambulance dispatching task is then tackled using a new fuzzy version of Elephant Herding Optimization called FEHO. This approach addresses the challenge of dispatching ambulances to cover emergency locations effectively and optimally in the clustered regions. Experiments conducted on real data demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach in managing emergency transportation and highlight its potential to minimize the number of casualties.

Mobile learning has become an essential element of teaching and learning during Covid-19 when universities moved online due to lockdowns. Post the pandemic;many universities have retained an element of online learning to increase access to educational resources. Students have used mobile devices to access teaching and learning due to the convenience of the technology provided. At the same time, higher education institutions subsidized access by providing data or zero-rated services to the students. While m-learning facilitates student learning and collaboration, it remains a challenge to properly integrate mobile devices into the learning environments. This paper aims to investigate students' perceptions and experiences of m-learning post the Covid-19 pandemic. The study used a quantitative survey approach to collect data from a higher education institution in the Eastern Cape. A sample of 293 students was surveyed, representing a response rate of 73.3%, and analyzed, making use of descriptive statistics. The results found that mobile learning was positively perceived by students as it was easy to use and provided flexible study time and access to learning resources. Activities that mobile learning was used for included emails, online classes and conducting research for assignments. Students indicated that collaboration and engagement were difficult in the mobile learning environment. Students were pro-active in their studies and able to self-direct and manage their time. The recommendation is that lecturers need to be intentional about including interactive activities during mobile learning and develop the self-management skills of students so that they can be proactive about their studies.

Acquiring commonsense knowledge and reasoning is an important goal in modern natural language processing research. Despite much progress, there is still a lack of understanding (especially at scale) of the nature of commonsense knowledge itself. A potential source of structured commonsense knowledge that could be used to derive insights is ConceptNet. In particular, ConceptNet contains several coarse-grained relations, including 'HasContext', 'FormOf' and 'SymbolOf', which can prove invaluable in understanding broad, but critically important, commonsense notions such as 'context'. In this article, we present a methodology based on unsupervised knowledge graph representation learning and clustering to reveal and study substructures in three coarse-grained and heavily used relations in ConceptNet. Our results show that, despite having an 'official' definition in ConceptNet, many of these coarse-grained relations exhibit considerable substructure. In the future, therefore, such relations could be sub-divided into other relations with more refined definitions. We also supplement our core study with visualizations and qualitative analyses.

Device drivers are software components that allow operating systems to interact with hardware devices. This project aims to investigate the feasibility of building a driver as a kernel-level interface to an Arduino-based hardware device and an embedded Linux system. To this end, a prototype game controller was built using an Arduino as a device controller, which acts as the device that interfaces with the driver. This direct interface between the kernel and the hardware device opens many possibilities for interacting with the embedded system, such as expanding hardware capabilities or creating a more integrated control system for an IoT set-up.

With the pervasive generation of medical data, there is a need for the worldwidemedical and health care sector to find appropriate computational intelligence techniques for various medical conditions such as epilepsy seizures (ES). ES is a brain disorder that affects people of all ages, is a chronic, non-communicable disease, and can occur for no apparent reason owing to a genetic defect at any time. The unpredictable nature of ES poses a significant threat to human life where we have a target variable with five labels of seizure, namely pre-seizure, seizure and seizure-free, are classified using real clinical data. In order to accurately classify seizure activity (e.g., the target label) without extensive feature engineering or selection, we employ a deep learning classifier as the study's baseline classifier. Deep learning is a branch of artificial intelligence and currently the most successful computational intelligence technique for diagnosing ES in health informatics. This paper dealswith a real-life application of epilepsy classification using computational techniques namely, Target-vs-One and Target-vs-All using deep learning approach. It is investigated that the baseline classifier on Target-vs-One strategy achieved the highest f1-score and accuracy about 0.9815 and 0.9818, respectively, as compared to the performance of baseline classifier on Target-vs-All strategy (e.g., achieved 0.94 of f1-score and 0.98 of accuracy).

Intuitionistic fuzzy sets, Pythagorean fuzzy sets and generalized orthogonal fuzzy sets are widely used in some multi-attribute decision-making problems. A generalized orthogonal fuzzy set is a Fermatean fuzzy set when the cubic sum of the degrees of affiliation and non-affiliation does not exceed 1. The Simple Fermatean fuzzy TOPSIS method addresses that decision makers are completely rational while making decisions, and applies the revised closeness to the measurement to rank the alternatives. Prospect theory considers the irrational behavior of the decision maker in the actual decision-making process, the decision maker facing the loss is risk-preferring (introducing the coefficient.), and is risk averse when facing the gain. In this paper, prospect theory and Fermatean fuzzy sets are combined to explore the multi-attribute decision-making problem, and the Fermatean fuzzy TOPSIS method based on prospect theory is proposed, Calculating the comprehensive gain/loss ratio to rank the alternatives. The results show that the optimal choice is S3 and the discriminant mean of the absolute value of Phi(+)(S)/Phi(-)(S) obtained by pooling expert fuzzy evaluations using the Fermatean fuzzy TOPSIS method based on prospect theory is higher than the discriminant mean of the relative proximity obtained by using the Fermatean fuzzy TOPSIS method, which can be interpreted as a better synthesis of the expert fuzzy evaluations. In the future, the Fermatean fuzzy TOPSISmethod based on prospect theory has a wide range of application value in several fields, which can be used to solve complex decision-making problems and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of decision-making.

This work estimates two measures of working capital (including inventory) turnover on interval-censored data: the turnover and the turnover coefficient. The interval-censored observations quantify working capital fluctuations during pre-determined reporting periods (e.g., months). The upper and lower boundaries of these interval observations record the minimum and maximum amounts of working capital during each of the reporting periods. Under the assumption that these interval observations are independent, the distribution of working capital is estimated nonparametrically with the estimator suggested by Bruce Turnbull in 1974. This estimated distribution is used for calculating the mean working capital across the whole observation period and the measures of working capital turnover. The suggested methodology is illustrated on an artificially censored dataset with interval observations mimicking real-life investment levels in inventory. In this example, the new method shows different values of average inventory cost. The averaged investment level was higher, the turnover was longer, and the turnover coefficient was lower. These findings were also confirmed by non-parametric bootstrap.

In order to build disparity maps from stereo images, this research investigates the advantages of employing CNN (convolutional neural networks) to generate a disparity space image. A total of 3100 neurons are used to build an eight-layer fully connected network that is trained using 220,000 examples of both positive and negative image patch samples. Using a context-based technique, the disparity space image is aggregated. The WTA technique is used to create the disparity map. There are noticeable visual improvements as compared to the simple subtractive plane-sweep technique, particularly when there is little to no texture.
