Research aims: This study aims to analyze the bank performance in public conventional banks based on Risk, Good Corporate Governance, Earnings, and Capital or RGEC System in the 2018-2021 period. This period refers to before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample in this study was state-owned conventional banking. The analysis used in this study was using a time series approach and cross-sectional approach. The results of the analysis show that during the pandemic, credit risk and liquidity risk increased, and bank profits and capital decreased, but good corporate governance tended to increase from year to year. The capital decreased in the pandemic and then increased after the pandemic. Based on the differences analysis found that the risk profile variables had significant differences, while the variables of good corporate governance, earnings, and capital did not have significant differences in performance before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The rapid emergence of big data has revolutionized the way organizations perceive and utilize information. With its unparalleled ability to process vast volumes of data at high speeds and handle diverse data types, big data is reshaping industries and enabling evidence-based decision-making. However, the proliferation of big data presents significant privacy challenges. The extensive collection, aggregation, and analysis of diverse datasets can inadvertently expose sensitive personal information, leading to potential breaches of individual privacy. In this work, a new "V" called victimization is introduced as a characteristic of big data. This issue can lead to hazardous consequences. To address the vulnerabilities due to this characteristic, a federated learning approach is proposed as a solution. The proposed approach was tested on two datasets in the domain of health care. The model was also trained using the conventional deep learning approach and Pyspark. The findings in our research suggest that the federated learning approach helps in overcoming those issues leading to victimization without compromising the performance of the model.

A critical decision that will determine if the implementation of a data warehouse is a success or a failure is selecting the data modelling approach. This research was done in the Design Science Research (DSR) Paradigm. As part of the first phase (awareness of the problem), questionnaires were completed by 112 respondents at companies in South Africa. The results of these showed that data models and the use thereof still present problems in many of these companies in South Africa. The aim of this paper is to assist an end user or company to choose a suitable data model. The DataModelling Selection Framework (DMSF) is introduced in this paper. This framework considers: business information needs, data parameters, enterprise size, business processes, current data architecture and environment, as well as data strategy. The DMSF includes 15 guidelines that can be followed by an end-user or a company when having to decide which data model will be suitable for a data warehouse.

This paper investigates an improved microstrip patch antenna array (MPAA) design using the defective ground structure (DGS) technique operating at a dual-band (at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz) in the ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) band. This improved MPAA based on DGS contains two identical and symmetrical microstrip rectangular patches fed by an inset feed technique using a single microstrip feed line of each patch. The dimensions of each layer (radiating element, substrate, and ground) are calculated using the transmission line model coded in MATLAB software. Then, these dimensions are optimized based on the genetic algorithm (GA) technique which is available in CST MSW (computer simulation technology microwave studio). This novel MPAA design printed on a Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 substrate. The effectiveness of this optimized MPAA using GA is proved by the results obtained by CST software and confirmed by another software called HFSS (high-frequency structure simulator) in terms of its high performance: coefficient reflection, voltage standing wave ratio, directivity, gain, efficiency, and dual-band functionality. The MPAA conception is effective in various wireless power transmission applications to supply different systems ecologically.

This work applies Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, specifically transformer models, for the emotional evaluation of open-ended responses. Today's powerful advances in transformer architecture, such as ChatGPT, make it possible to capture complex emotional patterns in language. The proposed transformer-based system identifies the emotional features of various texts. The research employs an innovative approach, using prompt engineering and existing context, to enhance the emotional expressiveness of the model. It also investigates spaCy's capabilities for linguistic analysis and the synergy between transformer models and this technology. The results show a significant improvement in emotional detection compared to traditional methods and tools, highlighting the potential of transformer models in this domain. The method can be implemented in various areas, such as emotional research or mental health monitoring, creating a much richer and complete user profile.

This research focuses on a largely informal and precarious industry, and a significant source of employment and export revenue in Morocco which is the craft industry. However, the economic, technological, social and cultural changes experienced throughout the world, particularly in Morocco following the health crisis, have made it difficult for these craft businesses and cooperatives to survive. To cope with this delicate situation, some craft businesses have been innovative and have revisited their strategies, especially their marketing strategies, to bring value to their customers. But the crisis is not the only reason for the rise of digital marketing in Morocco. It is an integral part of the country's strategy, which has been moving increasingly towards digital and digital transformation since the launch of the New Development Model and certain visions such as the 2030 vision of the craft industry. By carrying out a qualitative analysis of an exploratory nature, this article aims to understand the role of digital marketing in promoting Morocco's intangible cultural heritage, in particular the crafts of the ancient medina of Fez. The aim is to analyse the recent strategic directions taken by certain companies and cooperatives and to identify the resulting opportunities. The aim is to examine how the adaptation of work dynamics has changed in response to shifts in digital methods, and how the pandemic has strengthened reliance on specific digital players.

This paper presents the design, manufacturing and software integration of a 3D-printed robotics arm. The robot design is made of a rotational base combined with a five degrees of freedom arm with a gripper. An intuitive and user-friendly Graphical User Interface is also implemented and integrated with the robotic device. Preliminary tests are performed showing that the system has the potential to be used in different contexts and applications, as well as manufacturing environments where pick and place tasks could be performed in a low-cost fashion.

Relay-based free-space optical (FSO) communication systems effectively counter the degradation caused by turbulence-induced atmospheric scintillation. Traditional ground-based relays are stationary, which can complicate achieving their optimal deployment. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), due to their dynamic mobility and flexibility, introduce novel solutions for FSO relay systems. This research examines a UAV-based FSO system that employs a dual-hop decode-and-forward mechanism, incorporating several sources at the transmission side. The performance analysis of this system is expanded by integrating the Malaga (M), Gamma-Gamma (GG), and Fisher-Snedecor (F) distributions, which depict atmospheric turbulence, and considering the effects of atmospheric losses, pointing errors, and angle-of-arrival fluctuations. Deriving the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) for these factors, we establish a practical expression for the PDF of the overall channel gain. Subsequent derivations of exact and asymptotic analytical expressions for the outage probability enable the assessment of the influence of these factors on system performance. Numerical validations underscore the accuracy of our theoretical models, verifying their effectiveness in evaluating the outage performance of the UAV-based FSO system with multiple sources.
