The Central Processing Unit (CPU) consists of the main circuitry to perform all the operations in a computer. One of the most important operations an Operating System performs is CPU Scheduling, which is responsible for managing all tasks and allocating CPU time to each task in an optimal order. This extends to applications in distributed systems since scheduling is required to maximise server utilisation in load-sharing mechanisms. One of the more commonly used scheduling algorithms for the mentioned application is Round Robin (RR), which is considered to be one of the most efficient. However, the efficiency of RR entirely depends on the chosen Static Time Quantum. In this paper, we have proposed an optimisation to the pre-existing RR algorithm, namely 'Riti', where Round Robin is implemented using Virtual Runtime and by calculating Dynamic Time Quantum. 'Riti' has achieved a 27.6% reduction in average Turnaround Time and 37.4% reduction in averageWaiting Time as compared to Traditional Round Robin.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to various industries, including information technology (IT) projects. In response to the crisis, the paper "Framework for IT Project Management During the COVID-19 Pandemic" was introduced, emphasising Agile Management, People Management, and the Adaptation of Physical Space and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This paper expands on that by delving into strategies for bolstering IT project resilience in the face of uncertainty. The paper explores the effects of the pandemic on IT project management, the importance of understanding IT project resilience, the role of cyber-security in resilience, adaptive Agile practices, and long-term strategies for achieving resilience.

Elliptic intuitionistic fuzzy sets, one of the recent extensions of intuitionistic fuzzy sets, were introduced by Atanassov in 2021 for a flexible description of fuzzy environments. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) establishes if a given factor significantly affects the process or event under investigation. An index-matrix approach of Elliptic Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analysis of Variance (E-IFANOVA) is introduced in this study for the first time, by expanding the Circular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analysis of Variance (C-IFANOVA). Three scenarios are presented to the decision maker for a final decision: medium, optimistic and pessimistic. The conventional analysis of variance and the suggested E-IFANOVA are used to show how the factor "geographic segmentation" affects the net revenue of the Samsung corporation for the years 2020-2023. The paper's uniqueness is in its application of the particular E-IFANOVA to the Samsung net revenue for the 2020-2023 period, taking into account the geographic segmentation factor.

The presented manuscript substantiates the need to calculate the cooling system of modern Turbogenerators using the method of mathematical modeling in the three-dimensional setting. The general formulation of the problem for the calculation of the heat exchanger was carried out, the main initial parameters were determined. The problem of clogging of gas cooling pipes is considered in detail. The influence of this clogging at different percentages of the pipes obstruction on the distribution of cooling gas through them was determined. The operation principle of the cooling system of the 220 MW Turbogenerator is considered. The calculation of the gas coolers in the three-dimensional setting was performed, taking into account the influence of the thermal state of the entire generator structure. The calculation results comparison of the Turbogenerator coolers with the data of experimental studies was also carried out. The combination of the analytical method of calculation with the solution by the mathematical modeling in the three-dimensional formulation by the CFD method.

Currently, much effort is being devoted to developing experimental research methods to determine damage and fracture resistance of brittle materials under local contact load conditions using various indenters and punches. The paper offers an experimental approach for studying the damageability and residual impact resistance of structural elements made of laminated bullet-resistant glass with ballistic damage. The glass is considered as a laminated plate. The approach takes into account the influence of the location of the punch indentation zones relative to the epicenters of ballistic impacts, the network of branched surface and subsurface cracks with glass chips, as well as the influence of the glass edges on the destructive load. Damage to laminated impact-resistant plates was assessed during ballistic tests under conditions close to full-scale ones. The practical significance of the proposed approach lies in the possibility of its use for assessing the damageability and service life of the aircraft laminated impact-resistant glazing with ballistic damage for the period of repair, restoration and modernization of transparent armor systems.

The primary objective of this research is to develop an automated system capable of identifying metaphorical expressions in brief texts. This entails investigating the most effective features for this task, achieved through a combination of deep learning architecture and meticulously crafted contextual features. These methodologies will be thoroughly examined in this paper. Initial observations revealed that certain feature sets demonstrated strong individual performance, while others were less effective. However, through integration with the former, even the initially weaker sets proved highly beneficial. Subsequently, these combined feature sets were subjected to classification using various established machine learning algorithms. To ensure a comprehensive evaluation, all five algorithms were employed for comparison purposes. Notably, Support Vector Machine (SVM) emerged as the optimal algorithm for this task. Overall, the experimental outcomes exhibited favorable results across all evaluated metrics. Additionally, a comparative analysis of the results, particularly in terms of F1-measure, against existing works within the same domain is presented in this paper.

This article discusses a method for controlling the efficiency of second harmonic generation (SH) using metasurfaces. A new approach to efficiency management is proposed by means of controlled changes in the refractive index of the external environment. To achieve this goal, the authors propose to use a nematic liquid crystal E7, which can change its refractive index under the influence of external factors, such as an electric field. Simulations have been carried out to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method. The use of a controlled change in the refractive index of the external medium makes it possible to achieve more efficient second harmonic generation and improve the quality of optical systems based on this phenomenon. The proposed method has potential for application in a wide range of fields, including optical communications, laser medicine and scientific research. In addition to this, it opens up new prospects for the development of more efficient and compact optical devices and systems. #CSOC1120.

Goal. To present a new approach to the analysis of industry anisotropy, based on layer-by-layer Pareto optimization and on the assessment of industry resilience using fuzzy MAC technology. Methodology. An industry is represented by its constituent companies, each of which is represented by two factors - resilience index (RI) and return on equity (ROE). In the two-dimensional RI-ROE field, layers of non-dominated Pareto alternatives are considered, identified using the author's method of layer-by-layer Pareto optimization. A possibilistic Markov chain is built on axiological probabilities. Result. An example of analysis of industry anisotropy in dynamics is presented, using the example of the global oil and gas sector. Conclusion. The methodology for studying industry anisotropy in dynamics presented in the report makes it possible to predict the dynamics of individual companies within an industry and estimation of axiological probabilities for a company moving from one industry layer to another. Fuzzy research of industry structure also allows for fairly reliable prediction of industry behavior based on aggregated indicators.

Surfing Shoulder Surfing is a secret phrase-based attack which is a serious worry of protection in data security. Alphanumeric passwords are more helpless to attacks like shoulder surfing, dictionary attacks, etc., than graphical passwords. The creation of more muddled, challenging to-break passwords can be made simpler for clients with graphical authentication by consolidating the visuals and memory-based strategies like recall and recognition. In an imaged-based password, the user can choose pixels from the image to use as a secret key in the grid-based strategy, the user-selected image would show up on the screen with a framework overlay on it, and the client can pick explicit lattices to set their secret phrase. Besides, graphical passwords are powerless against shoulder surfing attacks, and due to this, clients are given a one-time made password via email. We investigated the limitations of image-based and grid-based authentication techniques and propose a grid-based graphical authentication system that addresses the limitations of image-based and grid-based techniques. The results of the grid-based graphical technique, as well as the image-based and grid-based approaches, have likewise been differentiated and analyzed. The convenience objective of our authentication system is to assist users in making better password selections, hence boosting security and broadening the usable password field. This method can be employed in many different contexts, such as forensic labs, banking, military, and other scenarios.

A strategy for modeling of complex mechanical systems based on the calculation and experimental approach has been developed. It suggests that the structural elements should be replaced by simpler ones, but by those that are equivalent to the original elements in terms of the dynamics and strength properties. It makes it possible to reduce the dimensions of the finite element models, as well as to increase their efficiency and reliability. The reaper's three rotors (stripper beater, stripping drum and an auger) were modelled as integral and uniform cylindrical cases with a given bending rigidity and respective weight. This being done, the rotors' rigidity properties were determined experimentally. This research being held, the experimental values of the structures' natural frequencies were determined by using a vibration measuring complex based on the microelectromechanical sensor ULTRA-V-I. The calculation and experimental research for the strength of the "Slavyanka UAS 7" stripper reaper, manufactured by ***-Service LLC, have enabled us not only to lighten its structure, but also to issue recommendations on designing a reaper with a working width of nine meters, introduced into the production.
