The Secure Shell (SSH) server on a Unix-like system is a viable way for users to login and execute programs on the system remotely. Remote access is something that hackers also want to achieve, making SSH servers a target for attack. A quantitative study was made of the distribution of usernames and IP addresses in failed login usernames on a publicly available SSH server. The failed logins and IP addresses were ranked according to the number of occurrences producing a distribution. The results indicated that the elements followed approximately a distribution with an inverse relationship with the rank of the element similar to what is known as the Zipf's Law. An important consequence of the Zipf's law is that 20% of elements are responsible for 80% of consequences, which means that by blocking 20% of the failed login usernames or IP addresses, 80% or more of the failed logins are also blocked. This was found to be true for a real-world scenario. Some topics were identified for further research.

The widespread use of internet-based services and products in the government and corporate sectors has resulted in a significant increase in individual internet usage. However, this move has also increased the susceptibility of systems to malicious activities. Recently, there has been significant interest in using deep learning methods to improve cybersecurity. This is because deep learning algorithms can effectively tackle important online security issues by employing advanced learning techniques. Machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) methodologies have been widely utilized in various aspects of cybersecurity, including vulnerability assessment, malware categorization, spam detection, and spoofing identification. Anovel technique is proposed in this study for hierarchical intrusion detection. The proposed system detects the attack data and classifies the dataset into normal and attack (binary classification). The data is inputted into the initial steps and preprocessing step to prepare the data for the binary classifier to categorize it as either normal or an attack. In both classification frameworks, the data goes through important preprocessing steps, such as feature normalization, feature selection, making a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model with the KDD99 dataset, and then using the CNN model to find outliers.

Circular Pythagorean fuzzy sets or values (C-PFSs or C-PFVs) emerge as an innovative extension encompassing both circular intuitionistic fuzzy sets and Pythagorean fuzzy sets. The circular structure enhances the modeling of uncertain information by utilizing points within a circle characterized by a specific center and radius. In real-life problems, most criteria have interactive properties, so the concepts of fuzzy measure (FM) and fuzzy integral, which are successful in modelling the relationship between criteria, can be used. In this study, we present some Circular Pythagorean Fuzzy Choquet Integral Operators (C-PFCIOs) by employing the Choquet integral, a form of fuzzy integration, to model the interaction among criteria. These C-PFCIOs also generalize some weighted arithmetic aggregation operators for C-PFSs from the literature. Furthermore, a score function is proposed to rank C-PFVs. Finally, a novel algorithm based on these C-PFCIOs and this score function is introduced to be applied to a multi-criteria decision making problem on solar panel selection.

Innovation and creativity are the most essential requirements for making education effective. Several innovative and creative tools and techniques have been developed and used for making education effective. Progressively, AI chatbots are another means by which educational institutions are able to provide an innovative, creative and interactive learning environment. AI chatbots are not just providing an innovative learning environment to students, but they are also providing help in almost all educational activities. In education, AI chatbots provide several benefits to individuals and educational institutions, however, there are several barriers in their use as well, and it is important to deliberate all these barriers when using these AI chatbots in education. Therefore, this paper will investigate several benefits and barriers of AI chatbots in education. Firstly, it will discuss the evolution of chatbots, and the use of some modern AI chatbots in education. Subsequently, it will investigate several benefits of AI chatbots in education. Finally, it will investigate several barriers of AI chatbots in education. This investigation will provide a detailed insight into both positive and negative aspects of AI chatbots alongside its use in education for better understanding.

Health institutions have started worldwide or are considering integrating the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) into their hospital environments. However, it is well documented that the IoMT is introducing severe cyber risks into the relevant environment. It is therefore the responsibility of the Board of Governors (BoGs), as part of their Corporate Governance oversight accountability, to ensure the cyber resilience of their health institutions during such integration. Furthermore, it is also well reported that BoGs are not always technically skilled, and often do not know where and how to start such oversight responsibilities. The purpose of this paper is to provide some basic readable background about the IoMT, and then offers a number of questions which the Board can ask to get some handle on and empower themselves on this oversight journey they are confronted with.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has implemented various strategies to combat doping in sports, among which the use of an individual electronic record for athletes, known as the biological passport, stands out. The objective of this passport is to collect profiles of biological doping markers and doping test results over a period of time, using a mathematical algorithm to analyze and calculate the athlete's profile. Once this profile is constructed and the athlete's normal values are known, it becomes possible to identify potential anomalies and detect cases of doping. Blockchain technology aims to provide a method to address the security and reliability challenges of the biological passport through a distributed ledger. The proposal is to design a network that consolidates the records of the biological passport in an immutable manner, supported by blockchain. Therefore, blockchain technology presents itself as a promising innovation for implementing governmental policies and access control regulations. It is overseen by a group of sports organizations to carry out continuous anti-doping tests and health evaluations of athletes.

With industry evolution and the development of Industry 4.0, manufacturers are trying to leverage it and find a way to increase productivity. Digital Twins (DT) technologies allow them to achieve this objective and revolutionize Product Life-cycle Management as they provide real-time information and insights for companies, allowing real-time product monitoring. Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that permits users to interact with virtual objects in immersive environments;even under constant development, VR has proven efficient and effective in enhancing training. DT integration into immersive VR environments is constantly developing, with many challenges ahead. This study aims the development of an immersive virtual world for training integrated with DT technologies to handle all users' input using the simulator. Those were subject to a performance evaluation to understand how the application handles different input types, which confirmed the viability and reliability of this integration.

Technology has helped to innovate in the teaching-learning process. Today's students are more demanding actors when it comes to the environment, they have at their disposal to learn, experiment and develop critical thinking. The area of mathematics has successively suffered from students' learning difficulties, whether due to lack of motivation, low abstraction ability or lack of new tools for teachers to bring innovation into the classroom and outside it. While being true that digitalization has entered schools, it often follows a process of digital replication of approaches and materials that were previously only available on physical media. This work focuses on the use of Extended Realities for teaching mathematics, and very particularly in the teaching of geometry, with a proposition of a conceptual model that combines the use of Extended Reality and Machine Learning. The proposed model was subject to prototyping, which is presented as a form of laboratory validation as a contribution to innovate the way of how the geometry teaching-learning process is developed, as well through the ability to obtain useful insights for teachers, and students, throughout the process.

E-health, including teleconsultation, offers opportunities to improve patient care in terms of accessibility, efficiency and quality. The aim of this study was to determine the factors influencing healthcare professionals' satisfaction with the use of teleconsultation. To this end, a questionnaire was distributed online to healthcare professionals participating in teleconsultation at the Al Haouz Hospital. Analysis of the variables quality of service, quality of information and quality of the system, showed that 47.7% of respondents expressed a high level of satisfaction, while 53.3% of respondents expressed an average level of satisfaction with the use of teleconsultation. However, there was no significant influence of healthcare professionals' characteristics on their satisfaction with teleconsultation.

UrbanAir Mobility (UAM) revolutionises urban transportation by integrating aerial vehicles. It encompasses electric aircraft, drones, and autonomous systems, and addresses traffic challenges. This analysis contextualises the evolution of UAM, drawing on pioneering studies. A systematic literature review, using theWeb of Science database, reveals that UAM publications have increased, mainly from the United States. Key areas of focus within this field include vehicle design, energy management, and social impact, whereas the areas of optimisation and simulation exhibit comparatively less development. Results from the multiple correspondence analysis reveal three domains: technology and development, implementation and social acceptance, as well as safety and legal aspects. The broad scope of this analysis aids in understanding the transformative dynamics of urban mobility.
