A graph G is C-perfect if, for each induced subgraph H in G, the induced cycle independence number of H is equal to its induced cycle covering number. Here, the induced cycle independence number of a graph G is the cardinality of the largest vertex subset of G, whose elements do not share a common induced cycle, and induced cycle covering number is the minimum number of induced cycles in G that covers the vertex set of G. C-perfect graphs are characterized as series-parallel graphs that do not contain any induced subdivisions of K-2,K-3, in literature. They are also isomorphic to the class of graphs that has an JoY-tree. In this article, we examine the C-perfection of tensor product of graphs, also called direct product or Kronecker product. The structural properties of C-perfect tensor product of graphs are studied. Further, a characterization for C-perfect tensor product of graphs is obtained.

As a result of the increase in human population, activities implemented to ensure sustainability have increased. Due to the substantial amount of energy and water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions, cities are regarded as one of the most crucial components of sustainability. In this regard, measuring and assessing the sustainability of cities is crucial. In this study, a systematic literature review was conducted for city sustainability. The initial objective of the research is to identify the dimensions and indicators of city sustainability that are discussed in the literature. For this purpose, a reference study was made, and these factors are identified. The second aim of the study is to reveal the fuzzy-based methods used when calculating city sustainability. This study can contribute to shed light on the current state of city sustainability papers and serve as a reference for studies of this field in the future.

This study addresses the critical need to enhance patient's experience with healthcare mobile applications. With the exponential growth of healthcare apps over the past decade, it is imperative to understand the patients' perceptions of what is lacking and how healthcare mobile applications can be improved in terms of design, features, and communication between patients and providers, such as doctors or hospitals. This research was conducted in four phases: gathering insights into User-Interface (UI) and User-Experience, constructing a patient-focused survey, experimenting with various UI designs, and statistically analyzing survey responses about hospital mobile applications. Key findings from 82 responses highlighted the necessity to redesign both hospital app transaction processes and the apps themselves in terms of functionality and UI. Technological innovations like chatbots were underutilized due to the lack of affective computing in developing these features and a reported lack of user awareness. Regarding UI preferences, respondents favored larger text, less bold text, and blue as the primary color. Future developments should include direct communication with doctors and self-check-in features. Addressing these areas can significantly enhance patient satisfaction and engagement with healthcare mobile applications, particularly hospital apps.

Over the decades, we have faced escalating global energy consumption and its consequential environmental impacts, including climate change and pollution. This study explicitly evaluates the use of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) models for predicting electricity production from the biogas produced in a Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Portugal. WWTPs play an essential role regarding environmental sustainability, namely the potential of biogas in mitigating energy consumption's environmental impact. Also, the work details a comparison between the LSTM and GRU model's performance, applying a grid-search methodology for hyperparameter optimization. The study employs the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) as an evaluation metric and uses the sliding window method to transform the problem into a supervised one. After several experiments, the results demonstrate that the LSTM-based model outperforms GRU-based models, achieving an RMSE of 347.9 kWh.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a topic that has been heard by many and fantasized about for decades. This study proposes a guide for semi-structured interviews to identifying AI in ERP systems in accounting functions. The guide presented in this studywas tested by three different techniques, (1) internal testing, (ii) expert assessment and (iii) field-testing. With this guide we can evaluate the existence, the challenges and opportunities and the future trends of AI in the accounting functions of ERP systems.

There have been many studies on communicating with robots. In recent years, with the spread of smartphones, people have begun to communicate through chat applications that allow typing text, tapping buttons, sending and receiving pictures, and so on on the screen. In this study, we aimed to develop a robot that can be operated using chat applications in a way that is familiar to people today, and we integrated chat applications into robot middleware and developed a task instruction system using natural language. Experimental results show that the system enables (1) users to personalize their robots and (2) teach robot tasks involving movement using language.

As it is already known the main purpose of learning factory is to simulate a real industrial environment where academy personnel as well as professionals from industry can acquire skills and techniques that will help them to determine and solve problems which they have in everyday real conditions. Usually, physical resources, machines, tools, equipment etc. represent necessary prerequisites to build a tangible learning factory environment where practical investigations as similar as possible to real industrial conditions can be performed. Besides that, now-days digitalization era enables the creation of an industrial environment credible replica in the context of digital twin technology where virtual simulations and experimentations can be conducted and accordingly appropriate lessons can be derived. In this paper, Siemens Tecnomatix software was applied to create a digital twin assembly line within the Lean Learning Factory at University of Split. Assembly line consists of a few workstations where human-robot collaboration in the product assembly process will be presented. The digital twin of assembly line represents a platform where virtual experimentations were performed. Virtual experiments were conducted by varying different assembly process inputs and observing output values. The artificial intelligence (AI) fuzzy logic technique was applied to develop AI system that will be able to predict assembly process response depending on various input parameters. Digital twin AI forecasting approach presented in this paper represents a good foundation for further investigations in this area in order to establish a valuable digital twin learning factory landscape that will be supported by artificial intelligence technology.

A new application has been developed for remote PhotoPlethysmoGraphy (rPPG) tests in real-time using a low-cost laptop or smartphone cameras. This offers a non-contact and convenient solution for heart rate (HR) monitoring, which doctors can use to view all recorded rPPG signals. The application uses a new heart rate estimation method developed from facial videos. It employs skin pixel semantic segmentation and signal processing techniques, including a deep learning model to detect skin pixels from non-skin pixels. The spatial RGB means of the segmented skin pixels are used to extract the rPPG signal, which is then post-processed to remove outliers and calculate the heart rate. The proposed rPPG-based heart rate estimation method has achieved a mean absolute error of +/- 2.5 bpm, comparable to HR sensors. This low-cost and convenient solution for heart rate monitoring holds promise in medical and biometric applications, providing a new approach to health monitoring.

The article discusses the issues of using modern methods of designing and manufacturing elements of walking robots operating in conditions of high dynamics. The work concerns the practical application of elastic compliance using composite springs with carbon fiber plates as springs in a robot leg driven by electric actuators with ball screw gears, used as redundant double-joint drives in biped robot systems. The construction of the robot's skeleton also uses an additive model manufacturing technique called 3D printing. It is a highly specialized technique for producing geometric models, often with complex shapes. This publication considers the possibility of using this technique to produce prototypes of structural parts that can be directly used in the construction of a bipedal robot with flexible drives.

The robotic arm's movements are primarily guided by an accelerometer sensor coupled with an artificial intelligence algorithm. This paper proposes a gesture recognition-based 6DOF robotic arm controller that utilizes a gyrometer and accelerometer to enhance stability and detect human arm rotational gestures. Equipped with object grasping capabilities, the arm utilizes a sensor fusion approach, combining data from a low-cost MEMS chip housing a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope, to determine the angular position of objects. This cost-effective solution effectively detects human arm gestures and precisely identifies object orientation. The gyroscope provides gesture orientation data to assess dynamic gesture behavior. An artificial intelligence algorithm evaluates the gesture data, guiding the robotic arm's training process. The widely used Kalman filter accurately pinpoints the human arm's position. Wireless communication between the human hand and the robotic arm is facilitated through the IEEE standard Zigbee protocol interface. This enables seamless interaction, with the robotic arm's movements mirroring human arm gestures in real-time, akin to a shadow mode. The artificial arm's response to human arm gestures is remarkably swift. This control strategy offers a more intuitive and straightforward approach compared to traditional methods like joystick control, making it well-suited for industrial applications. Developed on the Arduino IDE platform, this robotic arm's versatility extends to various platforms, including embedded systems and intelligent peripherals. Thus, extensive testing of the robotic arm yielded promising results.
