*** is an accessible online medical resource for researchers, healthcare professionals, and policy designers seeking detailed information on clinical trials. Summarizing these long clinical records can significantly reduce the time needed for the database users as the process transforms comprehensive information into concise synopses, preserving the essential meaning and facilitating understanding. In this paper, we employ the Bidirectional and Auto-Regressive Transformers model to generate the trials' brief summaries. Our contributions provide new preprocessing techniques for model training, which leads to a robust summarization model. The fine-tuned model significantly enhanced ROUGE-1, ROUGE-2, and ROUGEL F1-scores by 14%, 23%, and 20%, respectively, compared to previous studies. Additionally, we present an innovative knowledge graph based on entity classes to assess the generated summaries. This graph not only quantifies the essential entities transformed from the original text to the summaries but also provides insights into their specific order and arrangement in sentences.

The integration of technology into education has produced major changes in teaching and learning. Open Educational Resources (OER) have played a role in this transformation enabling educators to enhance course development by utilizing existing educational materials. However the main challenge lies in locating OERs that meet the users' educational needs and goals. To tackle this issue we introduce MOERID, a chatbot powered by GPT 3 that offers recommendations for OERs. MOERID integrates GPT 3 for its natural language processing (NLP) abilities utilizing deep learning algorithms to comprehend context and produce text with minimal adjustments. Key features of MOERID include an interface, customized recommendation systems, scalability and continuous learning mechanisms to ensure performance and user satisfaction when delivering tailored OER suggestions. This chatbot is designed to assist educators in streamlining the process of searching for resources so they can focus on enhancing the learning journey. The study investigates the context and challenges of OER use, gives an overview of Language Models (LLMs), and describes the MOERID implementation, with a focus on integrating NLP and machine learning technologies. This research contributes to advance AI-powered educational tools by providing actionable recommendations for future research.

In the automotive fleet, the improvement of performance and power have a significant growth, these parameters are evidenced in high-end vehicles with high costs. In common vehicles, these improvements can be obtained with adaptations to the combustion engine. The objective of this research is to improve the performance of the engine by adapting a cylinder head. A Chevrolet Corsa B10S vehicle is selected. The engine power without modification is determined using a chassis dynamometer. The impact on the mechanical performance of the vehicle is given by the adaptation and modification of the cylinder head of an Aveo Activo 16 valves with independent ITBs for the intake manifold, modifications in the exhaust manifold with independent outputs (header), improving the intake and exhaust of gases in the spark-ignition engine. The method used will be the experimental one, making adjustments in the distribution with two camshafts and timing belt, optimizing the maintenance. It is also concluded that as the percentage of air-fuel increases, a better torque and power performance will be obtained in relation to the standard engine.

Mobile robots are becoming increasingly popular due to their relevance and widespread use in modern society. Their ability to navigate their environment without the need for physical or electromechanical guidance devices makes them promising and useful. Autonomous mobile robots are applied in various fields, including enterprises, medicine, education, agriculture, and consumer services, with the aim of improving services and daily life. With the advancement of technology, there is a growing demand for mobile robots that can successfully perform tasks such as transporting heavy objects, monitoring, search and rescue operations, and others. Various studies conducted by scientists highlight the importance of mobile robots, their varied applications, and the challenges they face. The review covers the current literature and examines the key issues faced by mobile robots. The text presents a comprehensive study of devices and sensors, along with common methods for combining them, aimed at solving problems such as localization, estimation, and navigation in mobile robots. The increasing emphasis on generating power from renewable and sustainable energy sources is evident, propelled by escalating energy demands and the requirement for environmental conservation. Given its clean and noise-free characteristics, photovoltaic (PV) energy has witnessed a substantial rise in its penetration within the global electricity industry. Traditionally, to maximize energy harvesting, PV systems are typically governed by a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme. Accordingly, in this article, a simple analytical scheme is introduced for achieving MPP tracking in PV systems. The developed approach is based on analytical reasoning of the P-pv - V-pv characteristic curve and the comparison of the MPP voltage VMPP with the PV panel voltage VPV without the need of any controller. The obtained results show high performances of the developed MPPT scheme in both steady-state and dynamic operations subjected to weather conditions variations. Furthermore, in comparison with the traditional P&O algorithm, the developed MPPT confirms its superiority in terms of simplicity, tracking speed and steady-state robustness.

This paper presents a low-cost, open source UAV testbench, developed with affordable materials and based on Arduino and Matlab. The project aims to develop a testbench that simulates the roll angle behavior of an UAV, using only standard components and straightforward fabrication, aiming its use for educational purposes. This testbench is composed by a structure with 1 DoF of rotation, which represents the UAV, and by two brushless motors installed in the structure, which allow to control the roll angle. The platform controller is developed in Arduino, which communicates in real time with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) developed in Matlab to change angle references, control modes or controller gains. The project also includes a Matlab-Simulink model of the testbench, allowing a preliminary analysis through simulations of the different controllers designed. The proposed testbench can be helpful for introducing multirotor control to students. This paper presents the development of this testbench, as well as its validation for different controllers.

Students' mathematical achievements in secondary school have an influential effect on their performance in college and their future careers. Having a solid background in mathematics helps students develop sophisticated perspectives and offers more career options. The aim of this study was to construct and validate a mathematics achievement test for 10th grade students. The descriptive methodwas used for the collection of necessary data. In the development of the test 810 students were selected by using random sampling technique. The collected data from students analyzed using IBM's SPSS statistical program. According to the results mathematical achievement test has excellent internal consistency, splithalf reliability (Guttman) and followed by the use of Spearman-Brown prophecy formula. The face, content, intrinsic and criterion validities were also high and are in acceptable range. The test is highly reliable and valid for measurement of academic achievement in mathematics as well as mathematics aptitude and mathematical ability of secondary school students. #CSOC1120

Accurate prediction of influenza outbreaks is crucial for implementing effective preventive measures. Many deep learning-based models have been proposed by incorporating temporal and spatial information, showing promising performance in influenza prediction. However, these models predominantly focus on exploring spatial information at the geographical aspect, such as gridding geographical geometry to depict geographical proximity, lacking the flexibility to incorporate spatial connections from other patterns among cities. To tackle this limitation, in this study, we propose a novel graph neural networks (GNN)based approach with multi-graph processing, which contains different graphs reflecting different spatial patterns beyond geographical connectivity. Our proposed approach demonstrates an advantage in mining the interdependence of influenza outbreaks among distinct cities by incorporating different types of spatial patterns flexibly. The experiments on real-world influenza-like illness (ILI) dataset show that our approach achieves competitive performance, surpassing existing well established baselines. Notably, in exploring geographical relationships among nodes (cities), we innovatively incorporate background information as a new node. This new node is endowed with features distinct from the target nodes based on actual conditions. Following this strategy aids and deepens the feature interaction among nodes, resulting in a significant enhancement in predictive performance.
