This paper describes the development of a mathematical model using genetic programming to calculate the diameter of a percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) balloon dilatation catheter for a given pressure and balloon size. The dataset used for the study was provided by Boston Scientific, and the genetic programming algorithm was implemented in Python using parallel computing. The results showed high levels of accuracy, with R2 values of 0.99989 and 0.99954 for the best and parsimonious models, respectively. The developed model can be useful for in-silico simulations of angioplasty surgery and can contribute to improving the effectiveness of the PTA balloon dilatation catheter procedure. This study demonstrates the potential of machine learning techniques for optimizing medical device performance and design. Further work could investigate the use of other machine learning techniques and larger datasets to enhance the accuracy and generalizability of the models.

Modern software needs modern infrastructure and architectural design. Cloud architecture solutions reference modern infrastructure, micro-services, and modular infrastructure. Cloud architecture is a reference for scalability, resilience, and also in terms of reachability. Services published on the Internet under the cloud label are accessible to people all around the globe. This paper will produce an Autonomous Agent (AA) software prototype capable of making decisions, giving an initial state and a goal. Many tests and algorithms have been revised during the research to find the correct approach for a suitable software model and abstraction capable of performing these features. Research in the future can focus on using Autonomous Agents as a substitution for the classical approach of cloud operations. The prototype will focus on the AI system using test case scenarios to evaluate the functionality of the decision-making system.

ChatGPT is a state-of-the-art, robust artificial intelligence language model that can be used in a wide range of Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications. These applications include, but are not restricted to, text classification, text generation, sentiment analysis, and question answering. ChatGPT is primarily aimed at generating English text, but it has also been found to process other languages, such as Arabic language. This paper shows the usage of the ChatGPT model in the task of dialect identification, specifically for Saudi Arabic dialects. Five different Saudi Arabic dialects, namely Hijazi (spoken by people in western regions), Najdi (spoken by people in central regions), Eastern (spoken by people in eastern regions), Southern (spoken by people in southern regions), and Northern (spoken by people in northern regions) were selected in this study. The experimental results demonstrate that ChatGPT achieved an overall accuracy of 0.42, which is higher than identification with a Support Vector Machine (SVM) that gave 0.33 in our sample data-set.

This paper addresses the challenges faced by most Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in improving operational efficiency and competitiveness. Two system design examples are presented. The first is a manufacturing SME that requires adaptable product design and assembly processes within a dynamic, custom job shop environment. The second system design is a service-oriented, higher-education SME requiring the design of standard work and communication of information to achieve student success outcomes. Collective System Design is applied with two different SMEs to determine if the design methodology may be used within both a manufacturing SME and a service SME. This paper emphasizes the potential of Collective System Design (CSD) in addressing enterprise complexity through standard work and continuous improvement. The application of CSD aims to improve customer satisfaction and process efficiency, and to reduce waste. The goal is to promote sustainability for SMEs within different types of enterprises. Success is measured through Functional Requirement Measures (FRm), to provide a numerical assessment of how well each enterprise Functional Requirement (FR) is achieved.

Designed wind actions can be determined through JUS standards that are still legally valid in Bosnia and Herzegovina, or through BAS EN 1991 - 1 - 4 : 2015 with its associated National Annex BAS EN 1991 - 1 - 4/NA : 2018 and wind map for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The design philosophy remained the same, but specific differences are noticeable during the determination of effects. In this research, the differences between the two standards are investigated and, ultimately, the result of those differences is in the form of the designed actions to the structure. Several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina were taken for the purposes of the research. The structural model is a simple fixed frame, while the differences in wind actions are displayed in the form of effects: bending moment, shear, and axial forces. The results of the research were discussed, and a further direction of the research was suggested.

Estimating deformation in volumetric objects, particularly when occluded, is a pressing challenge in computer vision. We present McDeforms, a novel dataset synthesized from a multi-camera system in PyBullet, simulating three scenarios of volumetric object deformations. Alongside RGB-D images, our dataset provides the object's 3D coordinates ground truth and camera specifications. We explore McDeforms' potentiality by evaluating two scene flow methods, Coherent Point Drift (CPD) and RAFT-3D, both of which competently estimate 3D flow across our simulations.

Phishing, a cybercrime that uses sociotechnical and technical deception, targets identifiable information and financial credentials and poses a high risk according to the IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report 2022 which shows that on average precisely, the cost per transaction is $4.91 million, phishing attacks are on the rise, challenging the ability of traditional scanning systems to adapt to trends This study examines and it compares the effectiveness of three antiphishing methods: Autoencoder, Extreme Gradient Boost (XGBoost), and Random Forest (RF). Through feature selection and robust machine learning (ML) algorithms, including Random Forest achieving a remarkable 97.03% accuracy, the proposed solution integrates list-based methods with ML models for two-tier security. The wrapper method is employed to extract crucial features, facilitating precise phishing detection. Specific algorithms such as Random Forest and XGBoost are chosen for their proven effectiveness in handling complex data and class imbalances. However, potential limitations include the need for continuous adaptation to new phishing methods and exploring ensemble techniques for enhanced model robustness. Benchmarking against existing methods highlights the superiority of Random Forest in achieving balanced recall and precision. This study contributes to advancing phishing detection systems by leveraging machine learning and proposing strategies for improved performance and accuracy, which are then applied to a web application for countering phishing attacks.

Pressure altitude is primary data for airplane vertical positioning. Modern air transportation system uses flight leveling system based on pressure altitude readings. This altitude is calculated by a hypsometric equation based on International Standard Atmosphere model from measured static pressure data at altitude of airplane location. Pressure altitude on board heavy airplanes is measured by an Air Data System and shared with other airspace users and ground facilities of Air Traffic Control with a specific data link. Different errors affect reading of pressure altitude. In the paper, we provide a statistical analysis of pressure altitude data to create an error model. We consider usage of Probability Density Functions (PDF) to analyze error distribution. A Triple Univariate Generalized Error Distribution (TUGED), Double Exponential PDF (DEPDF), normal PDF (NPDF), and kernel PDF (KPDF) are used in statistical data analysis. In the numerical demonstration, we use pressure altitude data fixed by Flight Data Recording System to analyze PDF and estimate probabilities (risks) of cleared flight level loss.

The effective implementation of data science projects (DSP) relies heavily on risk management, where understanding and managing potential risks are important factors. When implementing DSP, understanding and evaluating current and future risks significantly boosts the chances of success. Current research lacks a comprehensive analysis of potential risks to prevent early failure. This paper aims to fill this gap by conducting a systematic literature review, identifying the top ten risks in DSP and mapping them to the Risk Breakdown Structure (RBS) of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide. The literature process follows the guidelines of Webster and Watson and is documented according to the recommendations of vom Brocke et al. As a result, 248 risks were identified and categorized in the RBS to determine the sources of risk.

The brain-computer interface (BCI) is a multidisciplinary research field at improving the biomedical engineering with innovator systems for helping people with neuromotor disabilities. This paper proposes a new solution to introduce the BCI as a portable, robust, and attractive technology right in the home environment of the users. The proposed application is related to using the mental commands for guiding a 3D model of a wheelchair by following different movement directions. The mental commands are triggered by the detection of the P300 evoked potentials from the Unicorn EEG headset provided by the GTEC Medical Engineering company. The wheelchair-based simulation is implemented in the LabVIEW programming environment by using the dedicated functions from the 3D Picture control. The control of the 3D wheelchair supposes to enable the corresponding operations of translating and rotating the elements from the 3D structure, as well as to accomplish its movement across different directions (forward, backward, turning left or right). The proposed software application involved the UDP based integration between LabVIEW and Unicorn P300 Speller. Moreover, the LabVIEW simulation provides multiple scenarios comprising different trajectories for guiding the wheelchair to reach the established destinations. The difficulty levels are increasing, and the users are required to achieve challenging tasks related to controlling the BCI by correctly transmitting the P300 based command. This paper presents three experimental sessions composed of three difficulty levels, such as: beginner (6 experiments with 2-3 commands each, intermediate (4 experiments with 7 commands each), and advanced (2 experiments with 13-14 commands each).
