Education and skill development serve as the fundamental pillars for individual career growth and the overall betterment of society. To effectively address the ever-evolving expectations, it is crucial that teaching and learning processes remain contemporary and aligned with dynamically changing outcomes. Today, every facet of education, encompassing traditional classroom methods, student engagement, examination practices, and assessment techniques, has undergone substantial paradigm shifts. The transformation within the education system, particularly in the realms of examination, assessment, and evaluation, has brought forth these changes. Moreover, advancements in technology have led to the emergence of Automated Online Proctoring systems (AOP) designed for assessment and evaluation methodologies. By bridging the gap between learners and educators, these systems play a pivotal role in transitioning towards learner-centric education. Numerous examples in the literature survey demonstrate how online proctoring has tipped the scales in favour of online assessment and evaluation. Driven by this momentum, we have conducted a comprehensive literature survey on Fully AOP systems. Our aim is to guide researchers in understanding the current landscape, future prospects, and the potential of efficient AOP systems for assessment and evaluation. By exploring the related studies, we strive to contribute to the advancement of this field and facilitate informed decision-making for educators and policymakers.

The disposal and recycling of electronic waste (e-waste) poses a significant global challenge. The disassembly of components is a crucial step in achieving an efficient recycling process, avoiding destructive methods. While manual disassembly remains the norm due to the diversity and complexity of components, there is a growing interest in automating the process to enhance efficiency and reduce labor costs. This study endeavors to automate the desoldering process and the extraction of components from printed circuit boards (PCBs) by implementing a robotic solution. The proposed strategy encompasses multiple phases, one of which involves the precise contact of the developed robotic tool with the components on the PCB. The tool was designed to exert a controlled force on the PCB component, thereby efficiently desoldering it from the board. Results demonstrate the feasibility of achieving a high success rate in removing PCB components, including the ones from mobile phones. The desoldering success rate observed is approximately 100% for the larger components.

This paper investigates the trade-off between indiosyncratic risk and expected stock return in the Moroccan market using a novel approach. Departing from the notion that systematic risk alone may not fully explain stock return variation, we analyze the cross-sectional relationship between expected stock return, idiosyncratic volatility, and expected individual volatility on the Casablanca Stock Exchange (CSE). Employing EGARCH frameworks alongside the Fama-French Three-Factor model and Fama-Macbeth cross-section technique, we find a significant negative impact of idiosyncratic volatility on the Moroccan stock market, while the relation between stock performance and expected individual volatility is insignificant. This suggests unique market characteristics in Morocco, distinguishing it from more mature financial markets.

Research and Development (R&D) entails the generation of innovative knowledge and its practical application to address challenges. In Turkey, the advancement of R&D initiatives is fostered through the establishment of technoparks and R&D centers. Within these R&D centers, a wide array of project proposals is solicited, tailored to the specific domains of the companies involved. Project selection is carried out by assessing project proposals based on several criteria. This study aims to evaluate project proposals submitted to an R&D center and develop a decision-making framework to identify projects worthy of pursuit. A new set of criteria is proposed for this purpose. In the methodology, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is employed to determine the importance of the criteria, while the cumulative degrees approach is used to consolidate information from diverse sources. Additionally, a mathematical model is devised to facilitate the final project selection, taking into account constraints such as budget limitations and human resource availability.

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is a preferred technique for dimensionality reduction of complex multi-dimensional datasets. Though PCA generates n principal components (PCs) for an n-dimensional dataset, we retain only the p (<< n) high variance-PCs (variance >= 1.0) that are considered to maximally capture variations in the feature values in the original dataset. We show that the prediction accuracy of principal components-based classification could be almost equal to or even larger than that of classifiers modeled using all the features of the original dataset. To improve the prediction accuracy of PCs-based classification, we propose a hybrid training dataset comprising of the p retained PCs and a raw feature with a relatively moderate-high variance in the original dataset. We show that the prediction accuracy of classifiers modeled using such a hybrid training dataset could match or exceed to that of classifiers modeled using all the features in the original dataset.

One of the most significant and newest applications of blockchain technology is NFT (Non Fungible Token) technology. Although this technology has been present since 2014, its significant development begins in 2020 and from that moment it becomes more and more popular, especially in the world of property rights protection, primarily digital property, i.e. digital art. NFT technology can also be used to protect the rights of physical objects (real estate, artistic paintings in physical form, jewelry and other rare or unique artifacts). Irreplaceable tokens, as their name suggests, are unique digital assets that, for whatever reason, have a specific (unique) value. Blockchain technology is rightfully considered a technology that, using cryptographic techniques, ensures that the data stored in the blockchain database (a digital record of a work of art, for example) remains absolutely protected, i.e. unchanged. This further means that once these records are placed on the blockchain, they become an integral part of it (the block chain), so no matter how hard someone tries, they cannot be deleted, modified or change their author or owner.

Aircraft decommissioning poses significant challenges in hazardous material (HAZMAT) management, limiting sustainable part recovery and posing environmental risks. This study proposes a novel decision-making framework integrating Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies (blockchain and AI) with a Fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) to address these challenges. We analyze the potential of these technologies for improved HAZMAT traceability and decision-making within the context of aircraft decommissioning. The framework provides insights based on key performance indicators enabling informed technology selection that balances environmental sustainability, part recovery, and technological efficiency.

Automated noninvasive medical diagnosis of the heart is necessary for early detection of cardiac disorders and cost-effective management. Automated diagnosis comprises automated image segmentation and analysis of cardiac magnetic resonance, CT scan or echocardiogram. Automated segmentation of cardiac substructures and their feature-attributes is necessary for evaluating cardiac functions, disorders, and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases such as cardiomyopathy, valvular diseases, abnormalities caused by septum perforations, ischemia and blood-flow rate. Semantic segmentation labels an image at the pixel-level, and is used to localize various subcomponents of an object. Localization of the subcomponents facilitates the detection of abnormalities, including abnormalities in cardiac wall motions in an aging heart with muscle abnormalities, vascular abnormalities, and valvular abnormalities. In this paper, we describe a model to improve semantic segmentation of CMR images. The model extracts edge-attributes and context information during down-sampling of the U-Net and infuses this information during up-sampling to localize three major cardiac structures: left ventricle cavity (LV);right ventricle cavity (RV);LV myocardium (LMyo). We present an algorithm and performance results. A comparison of our model with previous leading models, using similarity-metrics between the actual image and the segmented image, shows that our approach improves Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) by 2%-11% and lowers Hausdorff distance (HD) by 1.6-5.7 mm.

In today's world, file-sharing is an essential aspect of our day-to-day activities in the digital world. File-sharing systems provide us the ease of convenience of sharing files either publicly or privately. Moreover, through peer-to-peer connections, companies and organizations use file-sharing system applications to provide the best service they can offer users. Understanding the security of these platforms is crucial and substantial to protect the users' data, ensure their online privacy, and prevent and mitigate any phishing attacks toward the user. The researchers will conduct a vulnerability assessment focusing on three mobile Android file-sharing applications in the market using Mobile Security Framework (MobSF). Moreover, the assessment will provide the necessary results and awareness of any vulnerabilities these file-sharing applications have and the possible mitigation they might have.

The present work details the design and construction of an animatronic head capable of performing facial expressions representing the six basic emotions (happiness, anger, sadness, disgust, surprise, and fear), to facilitate the therapy of teaching facial expressions to children with Autism. A set of actuators and mechanisms installed inside the robot gesticulates facial expressions, to show the children the gestures of each emotion. A GUI controls the robot's movements and presents several activities focused on describing the key points for recognizing basic emotions. A computer vision system performs face tracking and user recognition, after its construction, the animatronic head was evaluated, it can express basic emotions and after a first usage survey, it shows a positive acceptance by users and therapists.
