Collaborative decision-making in humanitarian logistics and efficient coordination among various stakeholders, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies, form the basis of a successful aid operation. This coordination is important to provide flexibility and adaptability to handle ambiguities and uncertainties in disaster management. In this context, Picture fuzzy set can be used by integrating it into collaborative decision-making framework. Multi-Criteria Decision Making techniques use these Picture fuzzy sets to evaluate alternative courses of action in humanitarian logistics and determine the most appropriate strategies. This developed approach enables a more inclusive decision-making process by taking into account the perspectives of various actors involved in humanitarian logistics. This allows decision-makers to deal with uncertainties regarding the location and condition of goods during transportation and distribution in disaster management. Collaborative decision-making framework using Picture fuzzy sets in humanitarian logistics is developed to improve adaptability, inclusivity and responsiveness. This framework can contribute to more effective and timely decision-making in dynamic and uncertain environments, taking into account the uncertainties inherent in humanitarian operations.

Deep learning models have become a hot topic in many fields of study, including walking robotics. However, due to the complexities in dynamics in these systems, training and troubleshooting large networks can be an expensive and exhausting task. Therefore, developing a collision free algorithm for runtime foot path generation can be very valuable in the world of walking robots. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of utilizing a unique blend of control theory techniques for balance and stability and artificial intelligence for dynamic foot path generation. An adaptive model predictive control (AMPC) controller is used for the balance and stability, while A* is utilized to dynamically generate foot paths. With each step, the algorithm generates a smooth foot path which can avoid or step onto obstacles, depending on their severity. This approach solves the problem of training large models by directly generating an optimal path with naturalmovements and no a priori training. The result is a stable and robust bipedal walking robot with the capability of stepping onto or over obstacles in new and complex environments.

The idea of "COVID-19 passports" brings challenges in the scientific, legal, and ethical fields. Issues include counterfeiting and security of personal data, as well as durability related to the protection conferred by vaccines. In an ideal scenario, it would be highly desirable to establish international standardization for these passports, ensuring that they incorporate verifiable credentials supported by interoperable technologies. Concerns of an ethical and legal nature arise in relation to the provision of passports to those for whom immunization is either objectionable, unverified, unattainable, or unfeasible, arguing that such individuals are precluded from obtaining any vital commodities and/or services. The paper discusses the maneuvers and decrees implemented by the Italian government regarding the use of vaccination certificates and examples of fraud related to the creation of fake green passes. It also presents BOOGIE, a solution based on a research blockchain technology that ensures trust and eliminates unsuitable features for the circulation of certificates of immunity from COVID-19 and medical passports usable in the Italian context.

Verifying academic credentials is a standard procedure for employers when making job offers. After the interview procedure is complete, the employer takes a long time to supply the offer letter. The employer must have the certificate authenticated by the organization that issued it to confirm its originality. While confirming the authenticity of a certificate, the employer takes a long time. The selection procedure takes longer overall because of the long process involved in certificate verification. Blockchain offers a verified distributed ledger with a cryptography technique to combat academic certificate forgery to address this issue. The blockchain also offers a standard platform for document storage, access, and minimization of verification time.

This research presents an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model for optimising the dynamic allocation of resources in European road transport companies. The main focus is improving operational efficiency and minimising various costs, such as maintenance, fuel, salaries, tolls, insurance, delays, and environmental impacts, within the European regulatory context, particularly Portuguese Regulation Reg. (EC) No. 561/2006. The model incorporates specific constraints on driving time limits, rest requirements, and interactions between departments and vehicles. The results indicate a reduction in operational costs and an improvement in logistic efficiency. Implementing the model using LINGO software demonstrated the ability to adapt to changes in demand and regulations, maintaining compliance and promoting safety. In addition, a tool was developed to facilitate sensitivity analysis and strategic decision-making, allowing for flexible adjustments to changes in demand or operational conditions. The objective is to contribute to logistic optimisation and provide a practical and robust tool for transportation sector managers. The importance of technological innovation in logistics operations management and addressing challenges in complex transportation environments is highlighted. The insights generated by the model have the potential to positively influence logistic management practices, emphasising a more strategic and sustainable approach in the road transport sector.

Firefighting in natural environments usually involves the use of water. The water extinguishing mechanism is based on the evaporation of water, which prevents access of oxygen to the surface of the combustible material and cools the burning surface. The effect of water on burning surfaces is generally brief, as most of the water quickly drains from the burning surface and the other portion of the water evaporates due to the high temperatures of the burning surface. This allows the oxygen from the air to come into contact with the burning surface again. In the article, the use of aqueous suspensions based on tuff and similar inorganic materials is proposed to increase the efficiency of firefighting. The main purpose of using water suspensions in extinguishing forest firefighting is to improve the adhesion of the extinguishing agent to combustible materials, which makes it harder to reheat and create a thin inorganic layer on combustible surfaces that hinders the access of oxygen to the combustible surface.

In a setting where digital transformation is becoming a major strategic issue, information technology (IT) governance is emerging as a key tool for organizations. An innovative model focused on three strategic areas structural capacity, operational capacity, and relational capacity is suggested in this article. An optimal absorptive capacity, which involves acquiring, integrating, transforming, and efficiently using knowledge, is developed through these areas. This absorptive capacity is directly linked to various key success factors in digital transformation. We argue that IT governance should be viewed as a process of organizational learning that directly impacts strategic decisions and actions of organizations. The accumulated experience and knowledge from this IT governance is viewed as key indicators of organizational learning, which influence the success of digital transformation. Without studies adopting this perspective, this article proposes a conceptual framework that is part of an innovative approach, highlighting the importance of absorptive capacity as a key element of digital transformation, especially in the higher education sector.

This article focuses on trajectory tracking using a vision system on a quadrotor in controlled environments. The primary goal is to maintain the desired altitude of the vehicle while following a trajectory identified through vision. Initially, a camera is utilized as a reference to obtain the vehicle's position. Subsequently, the reference line to be followed (red line) is identified, optical flow is applied using the Lucas and Kanade method to determine linear velocity and provide feedback for accurate trajectory tracking. For position and velocity control, a classical and well-established controller, the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control with nested saturation, is employed to stabilize the quadrotor. Additionally, experimental results are presented, demonstrating the successful achievement of the desired regulation and trajectory tracking of the vehicle.

In this paper the process of scanning and 3D printing of a prosthetic foot is presented. The technologies and procedures used to model the prosthetic foot and make the foot are described. The paper describes 3D scanning, the way it is performed, that is, the 3D scanning procedure and the principle of the scanner. The scanning process is followed by a description of the modeling of the scanned foot in the GOM software, after which the 3D printing of the foot proceeds. The left foot is printed, which is obtained by copying the right foot and finishing it in the software. The work ends with certain conclusions that were made based on everything described.

This manuscript explored a novel approach to forecasting Bitcoin market prices by leveraging user opinions on Twitter, using deep learning and word embedding models. We employed advanced techniques like Long Short-Term Memory networks (LSTM), Convolutional Neural networks (CNN), Artificial Neural networks (ANN), and Recurrent Neural networks (RNN) to analyze the relationship between Twitter sentiment and Bitcoin price dynamics. By aggregating daily Twitter data for sentiment scoring and aligning it with Bitcoin market trends, we explored the influence of social media on cryptocurrency markets. Our models were rigorously evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Square Error (MSE), and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE). The findings indicate that the RNN model outperforms others, showcasing lower error rates and higher predictive accuracy. We also made a prophetic forecasting model. By systematically analyzing tweets related to Bitcoin, this research not only establishes a strong link between social media sentiment and Bitcoin market movements but also sets a foundation for future studies to further refine these predictive models, highlighting the importance of sentiment analysis in market forecasting.
