In this paper, we investigate the adaptability of a SLAM-based mobile robot for the purpose of mapping and navigating within indoor environments. The robot operates on the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework, with its model constructed using the Gazebo package and simulated in Rviz. The mapping process involves the use of the open-source Hector SLAM algorithm. The primary objective of this paper is to evaluate the mapping, localization, and navigation capabilities of a mobile robotic model within unfamiliar environments. Additionally, real-time path planning is examined to assess the quality of the mapping results. Global path planning makes use of the A * algorithm to strike a balance between path optimality and obstacle avoidance, whereas the DWA algorithm is employed for local path planning. To validate the proposed techniques, experiments have been carried out in indoor environments to confirm their effectiveness and reliability.

An increase in the number of industries and other human activities have raised the level of contamination of surrounding air. It is imperative to build good prediction models with high accuracy in air quality forecast. In spite of the efforts in research, identifying suitable models with high accuracy is still a challenge especially for locations with less advanced monitoring stations using low cost sensors. Data collected in such situation are prone to missing data in large intervals and the possibility of anomalies is high. This study proposes a bidirectional LSTM (BiLSTM) for the forecast of fine particulate matter pollutant in the air. The performance of a stacked BiLSTM based on the Relu function is compared with two other revised models. The proposed model presented a better performance than the other two models in cases of better learning dependencies and characteristics of the data.

For 3D transformations in immersive VR, we introduce a brand-new hand gesture-based user interface. Our approach relies on natural gestures that only involve the thumb and index finger moving in conjunction with the rotation of the hand. Thesemovements enable the user to scale a 3D model as well as rotate it around the three axes. We use Meta Quest to implement these movements and share the implementation details. To show how effective our user interface is in terms of usability and user experience, we conducted a preliminary user study. A gesture-based user interface can be used as a workable mechanism for interactive 3D transformation in immersive VR, according to the user study.

This article presents the development of a low-cost 3D mapping technology for trajectory planning using a 2D LiDAR and a stepper motor. The research covers the design and implementation of a circuit board to connect and control all components, including the LiDAR and motor. In addition, a 3D printed support structure was developed to connect the LiDAR to the motor shaft. System data acquisition and processing are addressed, as well as the generation of the point cloud and the application of the A* algorithm for trajectory planning. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed technology for low-cost 3D mapping and trajectory planning applications.

This paper presents the design and development of fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for the optimal controlling of electric vehicle. It begins with the mathematical modelling of electric vehicle. The drawback of the electric vehicle is the smooth charge controlling of battery, battery cost. Thereafter, a multi-objective function has been developed in terms of SOC, battery cost etc. which is controlled by fuzzy logic controller that is originality and novelty. The rules of fuzzy logic controller have been framed by considering the symmetrical image process. After the implementation of FLC, It is observed that SOC has been improved with the increased bandwidth of 2% to 96%. The cost of battery has been found to be less with FLC in comparison to existing methods.

Technological innovation and the evolving nature of various environments inherent to the metaverse provide a scientific and technical perspective on key issues such as interoperability, security, network requirements, data management, digital addiction and mental health, law and jurisdiction, and environmental pollution. This in-depth approach emphasizes the importance of considering multiple, interconnected aspects when exploring the implications of the metaverse. From the need for global standards for interoperability to the complex challenges of security and privacy, from balancing network requirements to sophisticated data management and awareness of the risks of digital addiction and mental health issues, to understanding the legal implications and managing environmental impact. Thus, the study highlights the need for interdisciplinary collaboration between professionals from various areas, such as computer science, law, psychology, and environmental engineering, to address these complex challenges and ensure a sustainable and inclusive future for the metaverse. The development and evolution of advanced energy system technologies is one of the most important goals for the global community in recent years. In this effort, the utilization and analysis of energy time series is of decisive importance for the understanding of energy consumption and production patterns. However, access to real data may be limited due to the sensitivity of the information and the limited amount of data already available. This has led to the use of methods to produce artificial data in order to enrich existing datasets. Generative Adversarial networks or GANs are an approach to generative modeling using deep learning methods based on the logic of adversarial learning, and consist of two adversarial neural networks, a generator and a discriminator, which work together to produce realistic and unbiased data. The subject of the current paper is the creation of a GAN pipeline capable of producing power time series that resemble those observed in the real world, preserving the main characteristics and diversity of the observed electrical devices. The proposed method shows promising results, outperforming other state-of-the-art models in two calculated metrics.

Arid regions, which cover nearly one-third of the global landmass, are distinguished by a severe lack ofwater caused by a combination of lowrainfall and high evapotranspiration (due to solar irradiation, humidity, and wind). Additionally, Water, sunlight, and nutrients are required for plant growth. As a result, most smart farming solutions alter physical and chemical aspects of the environment (such as light, soil composition, water availability, and ambient temperature) to optimize plant growth and metabolic productivity. Crop cultivation in arid regions is difficult due to harsh environmental conditions and typically low and/or inconsistent supplies of fresh water. To meet the demands of smart farming in arid environments, The rapid rise of Internet-of-Things (IoT)-based technologies has redesigned nearly every industry, including smart agriculture, shifting the industry away from statistical approaches and toward quantitative approaches. In the face of a variety of challenges, such revolutionary changes are shaking existing agricultural-methods and opening newopportunities. This paper focuses on the design and development of smart monitoring APP, the potential of wireless sensors and IoT in agriculture, as well as the challenges that will be encountered when integrating this technology with traditional farming practices. Mobile applications, Internet of Things devices, and communication techniques associated with wireless sensors used in agriculture applications are analyzed in detail. What sensors are available for specific agriculture application, like soil temperature, soil pH levels, Nitrogen levels, water saturation, water pumped into the soil and the salinity of the soil are listed. Finally In order to improve irrigation systems, we were proposed a solution for intelligent irrigation of any type of crop, considering new technologies such as the Internet of Things. An application of this solution has been presented to demonstrate its feasibility.

Cold spray technology is a solid-state deposition technology. The particles are accelerated in the Laval nozzle and plastically deform after deposition with the substrate to form a coating. The nozzle is an important part of cold spray technology, which will directly affect the coating performance and has been paid attention to and studied in engineering applications. This article combines circular cross-sections and rectangular cross-sections to form a hybrid cross-section right-angle cold spray nozzle;based on the single-channel nozzle, multi-channel nozzles are gradually studied. The results show that the three-channel nozzle has better heating characteristics than the single-channel nozzle;it has better acceleration characteristics and particle utilization efficiency than the double-channel nozzle, and the velocity flow field in the expansion section is more uniformly distributed along the axial direction;The three-channel nozzle can make particles flow out from the velocity center area at the exit of the expansion section, and the particle size has the greatest contribution to velocity;the three-channel nozzle can achieve the deposition of a variety of particle materials on the substrate, and can also achieve the velocity conditions required for the compaction of coatings by Al2O3 particles;the three-channel mixed cross-section right-angle cold spray nozzle is suitable for spray deposition in compact space;the multi-channel nozzle provides a reference for the research on cold spray nozzles opinion.

Recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the utilization of non-face-to-face lectures has increased. Online lectures use a lot of visual materials, and blind college students experience difficulties in understanding the lecture content. This causes them to lose concentration and interest in the class. This paper proposes an automatic lecture video commentary system, "DiagramVoice", to ensure an independent learning environment for visually impaired students. It is designed as a mobile application to be easily accessible to the visually impaired. It can provide analysis of text and nature photographs among visual materials in lecture videos and also provides commentary on diagrams through the diagram commentary generation algorithm developed in this paper.
