The research abstract explores the necessity of transitioning Zambia's domestic tax systems to a cloud-based failover architecture. Identifying existing challenges such as manual disaster recovery, system failures requiring human intervention, and inadequate logging, causing extended downtimes, data loss, and reduced taxpayer confidence. The study aims to introduce a hybrid cloud web application architecture, focusing on eradicating application downtime and ensuring taxpayer data security. Cloud-based standby failover architectures promise high uptime and data integrity, with servers hosted online to ensure uninterrupted business operations. The research objectives include creating a warm backup server on Amazon Web Services (AWS) private cloud servers, implementing data encryption policies, and evaluating the impact on tax application uptime and recovery metrics. The significance lies in enhancing system resilience, scalability, cost-efficiency, security, and accessibility, providing benefits like continuity, cost savings, security enhancements, and technological advancements. The methodology involved expert consultations and historical analysis to identify system inefficiencies, determine efficient failover architecture, and gather relevant literature for a secure hybrid cloud approach. The prototype test environment was successfully set up and tests were conducted, requiring scaling to mirror the ZRA production environment. Tasks including data encryption and security checks on application databases were implemented. Results support the hypothesis that the advantages of a cloud-based failover system outweigh potential challenges like data security, sovereignty concerns, cost management, integration complexity, legal compliance, and cybersecurity threats.

With growing environmental awareness due to stringent regulations, increased consumer interest, and the growing need to combat climate change, manufacturing companies are prioritizing reducing their carbon footprint. As a result, companies are transforming operations to meet sustainability targets. In response, learning factories need to refine their portfolios to provide holistic, sustainability-focused technology innovation and learning programs. Our research uses a case study to illustrate and discuss such a transformation, drawing on the example of McKinsey's Innovation & Learning Center Venice. The learning factory, which previously focused on lean and digital manufacturing, now offers visitors a comprehensive sustainability experience through sustainability-focused technology applications in manufacturing and related functions in a smart building. Our case study findings and visitor feedback suggest that learning factories need to embed sustainability-related technologies not only in manufacturing, but along the entire value chain to authentically demonstrate potential solutions to real-world challenges. Expanding the learning curriculum and adopting sustainable practices beyond the shopfloor provides additional credibility. Our article contributes to the learning factory research by presenting an end-to-end learning factory with a holistic sustainability portfolio, co-developed with clients to meet future visitors' needs. This can serve as a blueprint for learning factories looking to incorporate further sustainability elements into their programs.

While text summarization of transcripts in call centers is needed for detailed analysis, it presents challenges stemming from the call itself (context switching among speakers, cross talk, etc.) and from the resulting transcript (ASR transcription errors). This work aims to develop a summarization model suitable for on-premise deployment at call centers by fine-tuning pre-trained open-source large language models, assisted with reference summaries generated by GPT-3. The results are analyzed using ROUGE and human evaluation scores, and the correlation of these two metrics is examined. A fine-tuned BART model outputs satisfactory summaries with a human evaluation score of 6.95, approaching the GPT-3 score of 7.69.

Calibrations of thermometers are carried out by a comparative method. During calibration the major role has selected calibrated standard-which has traceability towards standard of a higher level of metrology ability. But the major role in calibration has also temperature source-thermostat (the bath in a further text). By usage of different temperature sources-baths, different calibration results are gained. The calibration results represent the established deviation of the thermometers. The significant contributions that are coming from the bath and on which the accent is in are contributions of stability and (in) homogeneity of a bath. The contributions of stability and (in) homogeneity of the used baths are well known, either those were confirmed by measuring or are given by manufacturer. Calibration has been performed at two same calibration temperatures in two baths, same probe is used. It was established that the results gained in one bath were different from those gained in another one and that for is considered that mentioned contributions have influenced on it. That would be presented in this paper.

The emergence of generative artificial intelligence applications in recent years has opened up the possibility of automatically generating text tailored to the needs of users. However, is the text generated by these tools easily readable and understandable? This study aims to analyze the ChatGPT's capacity to generate easy to understand texts in Spanish, while adhering to the recommended guidelines for Plain Language. The comprehensiveness of several websites belonging to the Public Administration in Spain has been analyzed. Moreover, ChatGPT was requested to enhance these texts in accordance with the guidelines of Plain Language in Spanish. The original texts and those generated by ChatGPT were then compared to analyze the primary linguistic indicators of different Plain Language guidelines. The study presents a quantitative analysis demonstrating that the new texts generated by ChatGPT do not adhere to Plain Language guidelines. Additionally, the study highlights the use of linguistic elements that should be avoided.

In ornithology, ecological study, and biodiversity monitoring, bird sound classification through audio analysis is crucial. The issues of correctly identifying bird species using audio data are addressed in this study report in detail. The main goals of this study are to identify species, construct models, optimize data preprocessing, continuously improve, and use deep learning techniques. To achieve these goals, a sizable dataset of bird audio recordings is used, including a wide variety of avian vocalizations. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) are used in deep learning techniques to extract distinguishing elements from audio data that allow for accurate species identification. Simultaneously, significant resources are invested in improving data preprocessing methods, including noise reduction, feature extraction, and data cleaning. The work shows how using cuttingedge machine learning algorithms and acoustic data analysis can improve ecological research, public health surveillance, and the preservation of avian ecosystems. The potential for a more peaceful and sustainable coexistence between humans and birds exists in the ability to classify bird sounds.

Telemedicine is a healthcare service that involves the practice of medical and information and communication technology by health professionals. There has been an increase in the use of telemedicine in various countries, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of telemedicine in developing countries, the barriers faced in the implementation of telemedicine, and strategies or recommendations for increasing the use of telemedicine. The method used was a literature reviewthat discusses the implementation of telemedicine in developing countries through the Scopus database. Based on a reviewof 38 articles, itwas found that the implementation of telemedicinewas carried out in several types of services and scope of services, including multimorbidity conditions and diagnosis or specific type of disease. However, there are various obstacles and reasons for non-compliance in the application of telemedicine in developing countries, including non-compliance due to changes in appointments, inability to conduct physical examinations, difficulties using technology and misunderstanding/miscommunication of information conveyed, especially in elderly patients. On the other hand, satisfaction of healthcare providers and patients becomes an evaluation indicator. Recommended improvement strategies include the development of innovations in implementing telemedicine, integrating telemedicine with existing E-health, as well as focus, provision of stimulus, and necessary guidance. The conclusion is that telemedicine has effectiveness that can be applied in health services according to the scope but still faces various complex obstacles that require multidimensional solving strategies.

Recently, job rotation scheduling models have received an increasing attention because of their ability to find optimal solutions and minimize the risk of development of different occupational diseases in manufacturing environments. Hand-arm vibration (HAV) is one of the major ergonomic risks that leads to serious health problems or injuries in the neurological and musculoskeletal systems of the hand-arm part of the body. In this work, A model based on mixed integer linear programming (MILP) has been created to enhance the ergonomic aspects of the manufacturing environment. The objective of the model is to minimize the daily vibration exposure for all employees when allocating the tasks. The developed model has been implemented and solved in the solver GAMS using real-world data gathered from a metal manufacturing facility. All HAV exposure values were kept under legal limit (5 m/s(2)). The highest HAV exposure value was 4.45 m/s(2) and the lowest was 2.39 m/s(2) during the scheduling plan.
