This research paper focuses on the fatigue failure simulation of aluminum single crystal using Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations. The investigation was conducted using 3D simulations of Face Centered Cubic (FCC) crystal within the NVE ensemble. Instead of directly removing atom layers, the crack was induced by eliminating interactions between atoms, which resulted in a more realistic simulation. A single edge crack was introduced inside the aluminum lattice and loading and unloading processes were applied to the system as the fatigue strain. Then, the propagation trend of the primary crack inside the lattice was carefully studied. Finally, the crack growth rate versus stress intensity factor was calculated and the results of the MD simulations were validated by a direct comparison of the MD Paris law exponent with available experiments.

Field-deployed robotic fleets can provide solutions that improve operational efficiency, control operational costs, and provide farmers with transparency over day-to-day scouting operations. The topology of agricultural environments, such as polytunnels, provides a basic configuration that can be exploited to create topological maps aiding operational planning and robot navigation. However, these environments these environments, optimised for human operations or large farming vehicles, pose a major challenge for multiple moving robots to coordinate their navigation while performing tasks. An unmodified farm environment, not tailored for robotic fleet deployments, can cause traffic bottlenecks, thereby affecting the overall efficiency of the fleet. In this work, we propose a Genetic Algorithm-based Topological Optimisation (GATO) algorithm that discretises the search space of topological modifications into finite integer combinations. Each solution is encoded as an integer vector that contains the location information of the topology modification. We evaluate our algorithm through a discrete event simulation of the picking and in-field logistics processes on a commercial strawberry farm, and the results demonstrate its effectiveness in identifying topological modifications that enhance the efficiency of robotic fleet operations.

It is noted that technological advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Geographic Information systems (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS), Simulators, and others can provide practical methods for recognizing and providing details on variables impacting road safety, such as user behavior, physical road characteristics, and accident severity. To further traffic safety investigations, this study uses a driving simulator and feature selection based on genetic algorithms(GAs) to examine road accidents among female teenage drivers which continue to be represented in crash fatalities and injuries, particularly in nighttime and rainy weather circumstances. The objective is to find the best feature combinations that affect the probability of an accident by integrating fitness functions that are represented by predictive models. While navigating the feature space, the genetic algorithm chooses combinations that maximize prediction accuracy. The study's results identified pivotal features crucial for road safety among female teen drivers. Selected attributes encompassed an array of variables including steering, RPM, Speed, Ambient temperature, and Weather conditions which represent driving dynamics, vehicle performance, environmental conditions, and meteorological influences. Little studies have been done into the effects of weather conditions on young female drivers at night. GAs perform better, which is why we can use them in this particular situation.

This study analyzes how the Moroccan Customs and Excise Administration performs in light of digitization. This study intends to demonstrate how digitalization improves administrative procedures and service quality by looking at the integration of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and the ensuing structural changes. A substantial positive link between digitalization and the performance of the Customs and Excise Administration, which was demonstrated by structural changes, was discovered through an empirical analysis based on a sample of 212 people. These results highlight the vital role that ICTs play in enhancing administrative effectiveness and creating an atmosphere that is conducive to investment.

During autonomous car racing, the car should accurately, quickly, and safely navigate the path while recognizing other cars and objects on the road to avoid collisions. This study aims to design an adaptive path-tracking controller that can avoid collisions in real-time while driving across the entire course in a robot racing competition. An embedded PC with an RTK-GNSS and 3D LiDAR is installed on an ERP42 racing robot platform, which is used to test the autonomous driving system. The designed system, consisting of a GNSS-based autonomous navigation system and a LiDAR-based collision avoidance system, utilizes four functions for its operation: curvature-based speed control, variable parameter tuning, deceleration, and lane change. Each function is tested at an experimental site to evaluate its performance and functionality. The RMSEs of lateral deviation and heading error are obtained by comparing the trajectories of the robot in a given path. The standard deviation of the steering angles is also calculated to evaluate the stability performance of the robot in the field. LiDAR is found to be effective in avoiding collisions with other cars and objects installed on the road and facilitates changing the traveling lane while effectively reducing the velocity.

The fourth industrial revolution has had an unprecedented impact on humanity. The disruptive technologies driving the new revolution's pervasive change have the most significant impact on the younger generation. Universities should produce and promote the best use of such technologies. The next-generation university's form, function, and purpose must be clarified. The future university has already been given new names, including ecological, distributed cyborg, decentralized, and Zoom University, along with several models that have been imagined. The most important question, though, is whether universities will continue to operate under the same framework in the future or whether they will fundamentally alter the nature of higher education. To imagine the future university as described, this study aims to achieve two main objectives. First, to explore and discuss various models related to University 4.0 and the 4th Industrial Revolution. Second, to analyze the perceptions of Engineering Educators about the term 'University 4.0'. Perfect Italian Domination (PID) is a vertex labelling of a graph G by numbers from the set {0, 1, 2} such that a vertex in G labelled 0 has a neighbourhood where the summation of the labels of the vertices in it is precisely 2. The summation of labels on the vertices of the graph which satisfy the PID labelling is known as its PID number, and gamma(P)(I) (G) is the minimum possible PID number of a graph G. We find some characterization of graphs for which gamma(G) = gamma(P)(I) (G). We also find a lower bound for vertical bar V (G)vertical bar, which satisfies the same. Further, we discuss the graphs that satisfies gamma(G) = gamma(P)(I) (G) = n/2 or A realisation problem is used to prove that PID cannot be bounded by a scalar multiple of the Domination number.

The process of software defect prediction (SDP) involves predicting which software system modules or components pose the highest risk of being defective. The projections and discernments derived from SDP can then assist the software development team in effectively allocating its finite resources toward potentially susceptible defective modules. Because of this, SDP models need to be improved and refined continuously. Hence, this research proposes the deployment of a cascade generalization (CG) function to enhance the predictive performances of machine learning (ML)-based SDP models. The CG function extends the initial sample space by introducing new samples into the neighbourhood of the distribution function generated by the base classification algorithm, subsequently mitigating its bias. Experiments were conducted to investigate the effectiveness of CG-based Naive Bayes (NB), Decision Tree (DT), and k-Nearest Neighbor (kNN) models on NASA software defect datasets. Based on the experimental results, the CG-based models (CG-NB, CG-DT, CG-kNN) were superior in prediction performance when compared with the baseline NB, DT, and kNN models respectively. Accordingly, the average accuracy value of CG-NB, CG-DT, and CG-kNN models increased by +11.06%,+3.91%, and +5.14%, respectively, over baseline NB, DT, and kNN models. A similar performance was observed for the area under the curve (AUC) valuewith CG-NB, CG-DT, andCG-kNN recording an average AUC value of +7.98%, +26%, and +24.9% improvement over the baseline NB, DT, and kNN respectively. In addition, the suggested CG-based models outperformed the Bagging and Boosting ensemble variants of the NB, DT, and kNN models as well as existing computationally diverse SDP models.

The production of printed circuit boards is one of the important areas of the electronics industry, as they are the main components of electronic devices and are used in many other industries. The demand for printed circuit boards is constantly increasing, but at the same time the requirements for reliability are also increasing because the quality of printed circuit boards has a significant impact on the fault tolerance and performance of end devices. However, printed circuit boards are prone to many defects, which can cost companies large losses, as a faulty board can lead to undesirable circuit behavior and defects in the final device, therefore, research is constantly being conducted to improve the quality of the production process. In our work, based on a benchmark method for PCB defect detection, we addressed the defect classification problem by investigating the feasibility of applying ensemble methods based on fuzzy fusion using Sugeno and Choquet integrals to combine the estimates of three pretrained deep learning models: ResNet50, DenseNet169, and InceptionV3.

In an era where Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a pivotal role in the generation and paraphrasing of scientific literature, understanding its impact on the integrity and coherence of scholarly content is crucial. This study embarks on an exploratory analysis to assess the differences in topic modeling outcomes among three distinct sets of radiology-related abstracts: original scientific abstracts from PubMed, AI-paraphrased abstracts, and AI-generated abstracts. Utilizing advanced fuzzy topic modeling techniques, which excel in handling the inherent ambiguity and nuances in natural language, this research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of topic interpretability, coherence, and diversity within these datasets. By applying methods such as Fuzzy Latent Semantic Analysis (FLSA) and its variants, FLSA-W and FLSA-V, the study endeavors to unearth the subtle semantic shifts and thematic variances introduced by AI in scientific discourse. The findings are expected to reveal critical insights into how AI transformations influence the thematic fabric of scientific literature, potentially reshaping our understanding of AI's role in scholarly communication. This research not only contributes to the discourse on AI in academic writing but also showcases the effectiveness of fuzzy topic modeling in analyzing complex text corpora, underscoring its significance in the ever-evolving landscape of computational linguistics.
