This article seeks to explain how a model for talent management was built using the Design Science Research methodology to mitigate the risk of losing talent. The article tries to explain through the 6 stages of the methodology how the model was developed to monitor and analyse data on professional satisfaction, contributing data to organizations to identify patterns associated with risk situations (i.e., Talent Churn). An organization needs to have a mechanism to help professionals become aware of their status and monitor their progress, and at the same time it can help alert an organization to possible risk situations (e.g., loss of talent, lack of progress, signs of demotivation and dissatisfaction, recurrence of incidents, severity of alerts, lack of involvement such as professional commitment). An organization can act preventively to reduce possible losses of business or customers and proactively by using knowledge to create services or products. To do this, it is essential to monitor and mitigate the risk of losing Talent and adopt an interventionist approach to Human Capital. A limitation of the article is that the focus group was not carried out as the methodology recommends, and the future prospect is to carry out a pilot test of the model in a micro-enterprise or SME in Portugal in the services sector.

As the digitalization of everyday life develops and the use of information technology in various business domains increases with it, the demand for the existence of automatic tools for information protection and security also increases. In recent decades, information technology specialists have learned to sufficiently protect information systems against the evil actions of external attackers and to identify potential points, where systems can be hacked, but information systems insiders' threats for unauthorized use of information are increasing. One of the approaches to reduce the risk of unauthorized data use by internal users of information systems is to base the monitoring of information systems usage on the analysis of users behaviour. The authors of the paper have implemented such an approach in the product "e-StepControl", in which the work of each user in the information system can be analysed according to the typical behaviour model of this individual, and in cases where the user acts differently from the expected behaviour, a security incident can be identified due to the unexpected (therefore, suspicious) activity of the user. Also, such security incidents can be identified by comparing the behaviour of an individual user with other users with the same or similar behaviour within the information system usage, in other word-with the expected behaviour of the representatives of this user's group or class. This grouping of users is essentially the machine learning-based performance of the task of clustering users of information systems according to such parameters as the activities performed by the user and their regularity, the sequence of activities to be performed, attributes of users and user sessions. Both individual and group user behaviour models can serve to identify security incidents, which are further confirmed or rejected by a security specialist by drawing relevant conclusions.

This project describes the development of a system that allows to improve the efficiency of a sprinkler irrigation system based on sensor networks and artificial neural networks. The WSN network is composed of a sensor node, a central node, and an actuator node. The sensor node consists of soil moisture, UV radiation, temperature, and rain sensors. The data collected by the sensor node is sent to the central node or Gateway through LoRa communication where the neural network is trained. The neural network makes predictions of irrigation status it predicts when the crop needs irrigation. Subsequently, the actuator node executes order sent from central node;activates or deactivates the solenoid valve allowing or denying the water flow to the sprinklers. A comparison between the manual irrigation system and the automated system with the neural network, where it is verified that automated system reduces water consumption and contributes to the development grass crop.

Nowadays, we are witnessing the development of health products' market such as health foods which represent new growth drivers for companies;well-being becoming the new concern of consumers. In this regard, the notion of food is intimately linked to the notion of health. Several studies show that a healthy diet contributes to maintaining the proper functioning of the body and promotes wellbeing in general. The expression "prevention is better than cure" has never been more relevant. Indeed, consumers of all ages are increasingly concerned about their health. This trend is encouraging them to learn more about organic products and seek out healthier foods. Our study represents a systematic literature review of current research between 2010 and 2023 related to antecedents and attributes influencing purchase intention for organic products and healthy foods. The aim of this study is, firstly, to synthesize the different antecedents and attributes that influence the purchase intention of organic and healthy food products, and secondly, to propose a conceptual model founded on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) Ajzen's in Org Behav Human Dec Proc 50(2):179-211 (1991), which states that behavior is the result of reasoned decisions. This theory identifies three factors influencing intention, namely attitude toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. We propose through our study a conceptual model based on the TPB model in exploring the antecedents of purchase intention, in addition to incorporating other antecedents identified by existing research in the literature.

This paper explores features that should be included in the next generation of authoring tools to scale the use of online laboratories, and the viability of their implementation using a prototype. Existing online laboratory management systems (OLMS) do not include a comprehensive authoring tool to compose laboratory experiments that connect seamlessly to online laboratory stations. Online laboratory experiments should give seamless access to online laboratory stations, which can be virtual (software simulations), remote physical stations, mobile physical stations, or hybrid stations. Currently, online laboratory authoring tools only give professors access to embed simulations in their online laboratory experiments. Some current OLMSs provide access to a remote laboratory station through fixed laboratory experiments but do not give the professor the flexibility to change or add to the experiment. This limits the use, scalability, and flexibility of online laboratory stations. This paper discusses enhancements to the authoring module of the prototype Smart Adaptive Remote Laboratory (SARL) OLMS. The module includes the implementation of desired features not currently available in OLMSs, gathered by Lab in a Window in interviews of engineering professors and laboratory managers during a National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-CorpsTM) training program. SARL is an initiative of the Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions (LACCEI), the Organization of American States' Center of Excellence of Engineering for the Americas. SARL is designed to comply with IEEE 1876-2019 Standard and other standards currently under development related to online laboratories and online education.

The new eBoto is a receipt-free voting system that achieves receipt-freeness through decoy ballots and is loosely based on the old eBoto[5], which was a generic Ethereum-based internet voting system that lacked receipt-freeness. Decoy ballots have been used before in [12] as a means of deterring vote-buying, but they were not explicitly used to confer receipt-freeness. The novelty of the new eBoto is in the formal receipt-freeness achieved through decoy ballots and proven through the formalism in [11]. The new eBoto inherits some basic election structure and concepts from the old eBoto, such as the division between election authority and voter, the use of a smart contract backend, and the use of a web app frontend, but adds new features like decoy markers that are used to create decoy ballots, proper encryption, responsive design, and off-chain entities like the authority daemon and isolator. These features are mostly added in order to achieve receipt-freeness, but some new features are meant to confer other desirable properties of an internet voting system, including but not limited to usability on a smartphone, voter anonymity, and voter privacy.

In this work, a comparative analysis of the operation of three different models of solar cooling using a desiccant wheel with solid material filling was made. Each of the models is described in detail, schematically presented, and changes in the state of humid air are shown in the h-x diagram. The existing conventional cooling system is defined as the basic model, with the process of dehumidifying 27,600 m(3)/h of humid air. On other models, promising improvements were made with the aim of more efficient operation of the system and increase of the total COP, as well as with the aim of using renewable energy sources. The simulation of the operation of the analyzed models was done in TRNSYS for the conditions that describe the parameters of the humid air of the existing system in the operating mode. The analysis of the results included and compared the calculated COP values, referred to the total, primary and electrical energy delivered to the system.

Disease detection is the task of examining the symptoms of a patient in order to deliver the correct treatment. Detecting skin diseases is crucial for early and accurate treatment, as they can potentially spread and result in serious conditions, even skin cancer. Distinguishing dermatological diseases is a complex task, often prone to misdiagnosis. This research explores the potential of quantum-enhanced algorithms in dermatology disease detection. It conducts a comparative analysis between traditional classical machine learning models, such as Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, XGBoost, and Bagging, and quantum machine learning models, including Quantum-enhanced Support Vector Machine (QSVM), Pegasos QSVM, and Variational Quantum Circuit (VQC). This paper highlights the accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score of the models on the Dermatology database. It also compares the training and testing time associated with the classical machine learning models and quantum machine learning models.

The paper is devoted to identifying the efficiency factors of enterprise activity that affect its ESG rating. Companies in many countries are interested in improving their ESG ratings. Thus, business entities demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development principles to their stakeholders, considering environmental and social factors and responsible management of economic resources. ESG management principles today have a significant impact on the activities of companies, consumers, and investors. The authors of this paper have analyzed the methods of compiling ESG ratings by various agencies. Using the example of several largest Russian companies included in national ESG ratings, the authors have identified and tested the relationship between various financial and non-financial factors of enterprise performance and its ESG rating. The results of the econometric modeling showed that the ESG rating of Russian companies is positively associated with capital profitability, stock returns, and the level of carbon dioxide emissions. This may indicate a more mature state of activities of large enterprises that are concerned with ESG compliance due to the scale of their activities and are interested in offsetting their carbon footprint by developing other ESG areas. There is a negative relationship observed between the ESG rating and the company's revenue growth rate. This may indicate that a larger companies demonstrate a relatively lower revenue growth rate, and more dynamic companies are less likely to pay attention to ESG management issues. #CSOC1120
