Technological advancement is molding the future decisions of young individuals, sparking an increased interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. Nevertheless, concerns about gender inequality persist, manifesting themselves through stereotypes and gender perceptions. Ensuring equal opportunities is of utmost importance. In this paper, the following inquiries were addressed: "What is the influence of the technological evolution on the preferences and outlook of young individuals regarding STEM fields?" and "How is gender inequality manifested within this context, leading to differing responses among male and female audiences in Portugal?". The findings underscore the significance of actively promoting gender diversity across all STEM areas. Encouraging more women to consider STEM careers and establishing awareness programs to challenge gender stereotypes are crucial steps. Despite the progress that has been made, the perception that certain professions are still associated with a specific gender continues to persist, emphasizing the ongoing necessity for education and awareness concerning gender equality in STEM fields. This study contributes to our understanding of the impact of emerging technologies on the choices made by young individuals in STEM fields and on the enduring issue of gender inequality. It emphasizes the imperative to foster gender equality and cultivate inclusive environments within the STEM domain.

Currently, technology has exhibited substantial advancement, resulting in the improvement of communication. Emails are often regarded as the most effectivemethod for both informal and formal communication. Furthermore, individuals utilize email as ameans to save and distribute significant data, encompassing textual content, images, documents, and various other things. Due to emails' simple and easy-to-use nature, some people abuse this mode of communication by sending an excessive amount of unwanted emails, usually referred to as spam emails. The spam emails may include malicious content that is disguised as attachments or URLs, posing a risk of security breaches to the host system and potential theft of sensitive information such as credit card data. These days, spam detection poses serious and massive challenges to email and IoT service providers. Various previous studies have concentrated on machine-learning methods to detect spam emails in themailbox. The primary aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive examination and comparative evaluation of machine learning techniques utilized in the detection of email spam. Also, it highlights the main challenges that face spam email detection. Furthermore, a thorough evaluation of various strategies is conducted, taking into account metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Finally, a thorough analysis and potential areas for future research are also examined.

This paper aims to examine the essence of augmented reality (AR) model in supporting the instruction process. The literature review from the referred and peer-reviewed articles, such as from the journals, chapters, proceedings, and books, was employed in the related topic of discussion. The finding revealed that the point of AR in giving the support for the instruction process refers to enhance the particular contribution on helping improve the planning, process, and practices on education scenario. The more detail of the main finding pointed out the two key elements, namely enhancing AR in supporting instruction process and facilitating AR with digital-based design for learning instruction. The contribution of this paper aims at enhancing the significant point in assisting the instruction process, from the theoretical basis to the practical orientation procedure in ensuring the supporting system on instruction and education. The implication of this study indicated the need to expand the continued display in monitoring the planning followed by the active practice in helping improve the learning instruction to be more attractive and effective to achieve the planned goal.

The most commonly used suspension in primary measuring instruments and vibration reproduction systems is a suspension on flat springs. In the paper analyses one of the methods for reducing the natural frequency of an elastic suspension on flat springs. A theoretical substantiation of the possibility of increasing the vibration isolation efficiency of navigation equipment by reducing the natural frequency of the elastic suspension by using a system of additional loading of the moving part is presented. The correlations between the natural frequency of the suspension and the system parameters are determined.

The article considers the current state of the economy of the Russian Federation, for which the pandemic became a factor that required certain adjustments to the plans of socio-economic and political development. The impact and consequences of the crisis of 2020 caused by the coronavirus epidemic are analyzed. The reasons for the rapid recovery of the country's economy are given. At this point in time, the key issues facing the Russian economy correspond to the issues facing all developed countries. The changes made by the Central Bank and the Government of Russia in the period from 2021 to stabilize the economy are disclosed. The dynamics of development of certain sectors of the national economy due to the impact of a number of macroeconomic challenges is presented. Noteworthy for the current conditions, i.e. under the imposed sanctions and the crisis, is the stable exports and high investments. The forecasts of various experts and institutions regarding the results of 2023 in terms of the development of the Russian economy are presented. The structure of GDP by sectors of the economy is shown. It is substantiated that the construction industry can become one of the key drivers of the Russian economy development. The current state of the construction industry of the Russian Federation and related industries, as well as the prospects for their development are analyzed. Actions to improve the sustainability of the construction industry and individual branches of the industrial complex are proposed. In the conclusion of this article the further prospects for the development of the economy of the Russian Federation are determined.

This paper presents a holistic NLP-based approach to the fragrance industry. Using a methodology based on online reviews, this study aimed to gain insights into customer sentiment and product preferences towards fragrance brands. In this study, analyses were conducted by creating a unique dataset by randomly selecting 13,828 reviews of 36 perfumes from a website specializing in the global perfume industry. By sentiment analysis, it is investigated how well user comments' sentiment compound scores and overall perfume evaluations correlate. Using Latent Dirichlet Allocation method, commonly used terms and topics are extracted from comments to provide insights into user sentiments. Moreover, Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency analysis helped to draw out keywords and word patterns from evaluations that are distinctive to a given brand. The most commonly used words in these comments were identified by examining user reviews. By bridging perfumes and language within user-generated content, we believe this study would contribute valuable insights to management practices in the fragrance industry.

There is a substantial lack of data relating to the hygrothermal traits of existing buildings and building materials. Moisture analysis in building envelopes is 1D (one-dimensional), 2D and 3D effects and feedback can be neglected. Many European standards treat a moisture percentage in building envelopes as surface and interstitial moisture condensation, such as BS EN ISO 10211, BS EN ISO 13788, BS EN ISO 15148, and BS EN 15026. In this manuscript, there was a tendency to capture a relative quantity of superficial moisture, by metering spots on the inner and outer surface of wall lining systems with a moisture meter. The metering specimens were the buildings with different envelopes: a wooden huthouse, a masonry building and a building partially sheeted in stone. The referent heights on wall linings, for taking the moisture data were specified as 50 cm for a wooden and masonry building and 80 cm for a stone-sheeted building, from the ground. The several conclusions were brought. The buidling's envelope is much influenced by the weather. The outer material surface in a shadow can possess a slight moisture quantity. One of the recommendable issues, originating from this manuscript is to abolish or reduce the buildings' vulnerability to climate fluctuations immediately at the beginning of construction.

The smooth operation of today's digitalized society is heavily reliant on the integrity of electrical infrastructure. Early detection of defects and accurate estimation of the remaining useful life (RUL) of electrical systems are therefore crucial. While various methods exist for diagnosing electrical infrastructure, such as infrared image inspection and partial discharge inspection, corona discharge diagnosis, is favored due to its non-contact and robust nature. In this study, we present a deep-learning based approach for diagnosing cable safety using corona discharge images captured by a UV camera. The images are classified based on their shape, and a deep-learning model is adapted to classify and localize these images. This approach has the potential to significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of corona discharge diagnosis, serving as a reliable basis for inspector's judgment and even potentially being implemented as a real-time inspection system.

Oral literature is transmitted through tradition and is not typically cataloged or recorded. Analyzing this type of literature presents certain challenges as there are limited computer tools available for its collection, preservation and study. In particular, Andean oral literature in Quechua faces significant challenges as there are scarce computer resources to support its study and processing. This study aims to establish a Web-based repository for the development of a corpus comprising texts of Andean oral literature. We utilized this corpus to train a natural language processing model that enables automatic analysis and topic classification of the texts. We applied the FastText tool, which features a pre-trained model for Quechua. Due to the variability in writing that characterizes this language, Word Embeddings were preferred to represent the meaning according to the context, which can handle similar words. The model was evaluated using the corpus dataset in conjunction with the pre-trained vectors. Texts were collected and then trained on a classification model. Metrics of accuracy, precision, recall, and f1 were evaluated. The model was determined to perform best when not utilizing a pre-trained model.

There is widespread consensus regarding the imperative to enhance global governance, considering it a fundamental objective and a prerequisite for realizing the Sustainable Development Goals. Underpinning this perspective is a fundamental principle of good governance, which underscores the significance of a participatory approach involving a broader array of public actors and local communities aiming at fostering trust in public institutions encouraging investment and innovation, and contributing to social well-being. The proposed method is to assess the impact of digital public communication strategies implemented by public entities, thereby contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Through a parallel analysis of two digital communication processes deployed by two government institutions, one in Spain and the other in Morocco, this comparative study highlights the importance of digital applications in government institutions, facilitating the achievement of sustainable development objectives at the level of public governance and responding more easily to the needs of citizens.
